Love this film sooo effing much. I still have the 2-disc EXTREME DVD. Eventually, I did manage to find n buy (at cheap prices/used) the 2-disc ULTIMATE DVD and the blu-ray SKYNET edition.
1:58:42: DAMN!! 😳 Cameron clearly taking a swipe at Terminator 3. (This commentary came out in late 2003, about the same time as Terminator 3. And yes, I do agree that Arnold’s line in T2 is WAAAYYY better!)
The story device of T2 just shows why this film is in a league of its own when compared to Dark Fate. T2 makes a point to show the growth in child John to show he’s not a man of weapons but it’s his mind that is his greatest weapon. We get to see him use that in this film so you can buy him growing up to be a great, inspirational leader. We see nothing that shows that of Dani in Dark Fate, just the traditional smaller woman who can beat up a man BS that’s so over cliché now and given her size is also COMPLETELY laughable. It just shows that writers today don’t seem to understand that being a good leader doesn’t have to be about physical strength, which is why so many of the female leads are a carbon copy of the same template.
Do you have "Archival Commentary with 26 Cast & Crew, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, James Cameron, Stan Winston, Dennis Muren and more."?
James Cameron really does the best commentaries. So insightful.
Two and a half hours of Wisher just getting steamrolled.
2:02:38 is my favourite
JC showed him who’s boss
Might explain why the commentaries for Aliens and Titanic were done with Cameron solo from everyone else. 😆
I’m really curious about where some of his stories were going. :/
He should have known better than to get into a pissing contest with Jim!

34:33 It's almost scary hearing James Cameron say "This guy was stricter than I would've been"
Drink every time Cameron interrupts Wisher
Great upload! Retained the stereo for this commentary! Feels like I'm sitting in between JC and the other guy!
Whose the terminator guys?
Cameron, Arnold.. and the other guy
1:58:43 Is... is that a little dig at Terminator 3? XD
Take a drink every time James says today we'd do it in CGI and it would look better
1:56:58 just in case Cameron talks about Dean Norris who we most know as DEA Agent Hank Schrader from Breaking bad.
31:31 always cracks me up.

He read the script for the third film. He was offered to direct.
thanks a lot for this video

Such a great commentary!

TY!
1:57:01 That's almost certainly Dean Norris
It is
The ending should always be a highway at night.
Has anyone actually counted the number of times James interrupted the other fellow?
Thank you 😎

I agree with the editors about the song in the beginning. It’s so overused it brings you out of the movie.
It may be overused but it will always be associated with this film.
What edition mate
I think this is the director’s cut DVD edition 👍
