@@BackCountryWrenching I had no idea they made them so small and compact. You are right you will now have higher level of food while you are out. Thanks for responding Jerry. Congrats on 90k subscribers too!
Thanks Jerry, now I’m dying for some chicken. That smoker is awesome and for a great price. Might have to buy one these just for house. Looking forward to seeing what your going to make out camping.
My father has a pitboss austin xl onyx and I use it once sometimes twice a day every day since July 4th and I have went thru 80 lbs of pellets I love cooking so I'm going to get me a pitboss lowes edition portable pellet grill for $299 I've went back and forth between it and this one. The main seller of the pitboss is it says pitboss, it has a 5 year warranty, it comes with a cover, and it has a rod to move the sear plate back and forth unlike the country smoker model in the video so it makes it worth it but I do like the big temperature gauge on the top of this one. I might have to modify my pitboss when I get it to have that feature.
Had issues with the control board so I swapped it with a PID controller board. No more messing with the "P" button and it keeps temp perfectly! I know Pit Boss would send me a replacement but I wanted to experiment and it worked great!
We have a standard home pellet smoker for our home use, but Lowes has this unit for $149, I wanted to buy it for my honey, when we're on the road. I didn't see the weight on the specs, can you give me an estimate weight? Thanks for the review!
@BackCountryWrenching idk if you're responding to me or the post under mine, but I asked you the weight of this model. But a simple Google search will show Lowe's has the same exact one for $149 until September 6.
@@BackCountryWrenching OMG you are triggering my OCD ... To be honest, the place we moved into has a double door fridge that is probably 20 years old and the plastic from the display panel has never been removed, but I took that shit off as soon as I noticed it. But anyways it is MFBT ....
I'm just curious, as going through Al l the last videos. What tires do you run on the JK and the TJ primarily? I have a a TJ with 11 year old Dick Cepek Fun Country 33's and just looking to see what you have- nice tread pattern- Much Appreciate! -watching from Long Island NY
I had a few pellet smokers, and they were dirty with the smoke. The smoke over came the food, but people like them. Much better then your electric smoker. I do however like a steak on them.
I'm not sure if this is a Solar generator review or a pellet grill review. Just bustin your huevos - I appreciate your review. MF Beer time! I love it! I have been considering a portable pellet grill, this one looks like it will do the job. Have you tried burgers or steaks on this? I had the Pitboss 720, but the grill area was the same size as this, so I was limited to 3 or 4 average size burgers. Have you tried smoking anything on this yet? Henry from Northern Commifornia (aka California)
Looks like they copied the pitboss pb150ppg that’s crazy how much you paid. I got mine on sale at Walmart for $100 about 4 months ago and love it. I use mine for camping as well and I plug it up to my portable power station and hardly draws any power from it
Take it back to cabelas get your money back or make them price match you can get the same grill at lowes for $149 right now in stores not $400 that's a rip off.
Damn...be some good meals coming down the line...right on
That's awesome Jerry.Youre going to be eating like a king while out in the bush.👍👍😁
Wow. Yeah that is a sweet little smoker.
it's been working quite well that's for sure

Where did you get the controller board from ?
@@BackCountryWrenching Amazon. It is a 56$ PID controller and was a direct fit. Meatender Universal Controller. I think it's 54 now?
Game changer indeed! Cheers Jerry 🍻
Nice sized pellet grill!
Yeah it’s been awesome

Yes exactly he needs to make them price match lowes or even pitboss price or take it back and get one from lowes
Lowe’s doesn’t carry it but nice try

i believe they are Nitto Trail grapplers on the TJ
Hey Jerry, what style beer is that?
I had a few pellet smokers, and they were dirty with the smoke. The smoke over came the food, but people like them. Much better then your electric smoker. I do however like a steak on them.
steaks do taste good on them that's for sure
Been there done that. Very finicky grill. Keep it very clean they are bad about catching fire.
haven't had any issues yet time will tell
What part makes it catch fire the hopper or what ?

Don't think I'll pay 400 bucks to cook a chicken thigh when I can do on a campfire grill.
Lowes has it on sale for $149. Just a FYI
Lowes has it for $149 and pitboss has it for sale at $179 it is pitbosses economy grill.
Take it back to cabelas get your money back or make them price match you can get the same grill at lowes for $149 right now in stores not $400 that's a rip off.
