Back in 2007 people didnt have the knowledge or craftiness to put together their wedding favors, decor, toppers, centerpieces, etc. Nowadays, with so much DIY content online and in youtube videos, you can diy anything for inexpensive and supplies are so inexpensive especially when purchased directly from a supplier in China, avoid the mark ups by buying directly from manufacturer/supplier rather than paying retail prices like at an overpriced Michaels. Those flatbacks don't even sparkle esp the clear ones...you know darn well they werent $.25 cents/piece as they are plastic. Glad these two were happy with everything.
There were no talented, crafty people prior to 2007? We didn't have the knowledge? Woman & men have been doing these crafts for generations. I am not a professional, however, I have helped numerous friends with their weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, retirement parties and birthday parties. Every one of them had guests asking if they had professional help. Without any previous experience in party planning, I was elected to handle everything for my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. Think wedding reception for 150 guests. I was elected to handle everything by my brothers who would put up the money as they didn't want to be involved in the details, at all. I rented the venue on a cliff overlooking the ocean (got a great deal, booked so far in advance). I selected the menu, the bar setup, sent the invitations, chose the table setup, linens, seating arrangements, designed & created the table flower arrangements, designed the 3 tier cake but didn't make it, made all the favors, hung about 500 balloons attached to long coordinating ribbons that hung in a two story alcove above the dance floor (had help inflating the balloons). The venue staff advised no one had ever done that before & advised the idea & look was magnificent. I hired the DJ, coordinated the music play list to work for all ages invited. I designed a huge banner printed with my parents photo, names & wedding & anniversary date. I handmade a guest signature book, decorated a long cake table with lots of mementos from my parents 50+ years together. The food was presented beautifully, had a chocolate waterfall, so many more small details. My brothers & the guests were mentioning that "beautiful" party for years. All this done by someone with no experience who worked in an office but had a love of creating beautiful things. Took me over a year to plan it. All of this before 2007 with no internet or TH-cam for ideas, etc. As far back as I can remember women & men were creating beautiful art, crafts, clothes, etc. Most of the women I know are way more talented & creative than I am. I have been to many parties, events, weddings that were stunningly beautiful & you would think were done by top tier professionals. Some people are just blessed with these talents/skills. It didn't just miraculously start after 2007. Yes, there are lots of crafts & DIY projects online, some of it is new & much of it has been around for a long time. People just now have a platform to showcase their talents. :) I've been told for 30 years that I missed my true calling in life. I think I agree with the statement but it has been fun to do it on the side. :)

The bride is just so ridiculous she isn’t thinking about the things that really matter like a house and how expensive is to keep it, bills properly taxes and mortgage payments. Instead she focus in one day that truly is meaningless (wedding day) is only a day marriage is a life time that have a huge economic commitment. I really feel bad for the smart groom that he choose a person that truly doesn’t understand the responsibility and accountability on the big picture. Life get’s expensive with every year inflation. And if they have kids a child as minimum is 75 thousand dollars a year only buying the minimum ( diapers, whippes and baby formula)are a necessary items that a baby need and the other things like clothes and bedding and everything else that a baby need but I guess she isn’t thinking about that she is selfish and unrealistic.
@Kristy Corell Totally agree. I'd much rather take a great honeymoon than have a big blowout wedding. I'd rather take a couple weeks "lazing" around with my new husband in some fabulous location not spending a year stressing over every little detail of the wedding planning. Does not sound fun to me.
No, no you got it wrong. The wedding probably will not be crap but the marriage??????? Come on he made the wedding bands because he was too cheap to buy them and she knows it.

we don't know what their other financial commitments are. They could have just bought a house or be planning to have a family. Nurses generally get paid crap too.
All her attention is on one day, forgetting she’ll be a wife and they’ll be a couple. She’s really quite demanding and selfish. He’s not cheap, just realistic. Poor guy can never be prepared for buying a house and decorating when she gets all of her other visions.
I don’t understand why their families aren’t part of the wedding finances in New Zealand the brides family pays for most of it traditionally and the groom pays for the honeymoon. Her mum paying for the dress would be expected .
New Zealand has a decent pension for seniors. These guys are also older so their parents are likely to be retired. I think less and less parents are paying for wedding as the marriage age increases

This guy takes cheap to a whole new level what with “b*tching” her out in front of her friends over $200, cutting the flower bill & monitoring the amount of toilet paper she used. Good luck to her. His cheapness is only going to get worse as time goes on. He will turn it to a miser hunched over looking for change on the floor!
Wow they both will be in for a lot of trouble in the future. Why do they marry?
Also, I also don’t get this. Why don’t the parents paying for their daughters weddings I’ve been saving for my little girls weddings since the day she was born??? I have yet to see one of these shows where they say oh, the parents are paying 100%. What’s wrong with people? Is anybody in the world traditional anymore? Also, when the mother was saying that she would pay for the wedding gown, what she should’ve been saying is, are you sure you wanna marry this guy?
Love ya Angelic
Why are they together?
He said he grew up in humble beginnings
I think the groom is being cheap

And how art these even getting married ?
So much better to just do the wedding party on the boat
Love the subs eheh
No, no you got it wrong. The wedding probably will not be crap but the marriage??????? Come on he made the wedding bands because he was too cheap to buy them and she knows it.
Glad that there wedding came together and was nice, wish he would have left the flowers 💐 order alone. Don't make sense to be that freaking cheap. Hope things are going well with t h em.
Are they still together?
Yeah it's her wedding she doesn't have to cater to everyone else it's her vision it's what she wants
@Ayla it's their wedding, not just hers......compromise.
So she didn't even chip in a dime? Doesn't she have a job?
She’s a nurse
STOP stressing CHAD THINK HAIR DON'T EVEN GET MARRIED UNLESS 2WANT... START A FAMILY FORGET ABOUT IT. DON'T HAVE $$$$ FOR THAT EITHER NO CLUE WHAT A BABY COTS NONE
The comments say that she is a muse & makes good money but what if Mr. Cheapskate makes her turn over her paycheck to him so he has full control of the money. A lot of guys do that as a way to control their spouse-think about that.
we don't know what their other financial commitments are. They could have just bought a house or be planning to have a family. Nurses generally get paid crap too.
They are both annoying lol 😂
All her attention is on one day, forgetting she’ll be a wife and they’ll be a couple. She’s really quite demanding and selfish. He’s not cheap, just realistic. Poor guy can never be prepared for buying a house and decorating when she gets all of her other visions.
Won't be married long
I don’t understand why their families aren’t part of the wedding finances in New Zealand the brides family pays for most of it traditionally and the groom pays for the honeymoon. Her mum paying for the dress would be expected .
New Zealand has a decent pension for seniors. These guys are also older so their parents are likely to be retired. I think less and less parents are paying for wedding as the marriage age increases
