- Reticulated giraffe (Giraffa reticulata)
- Southern giraffe (Giraffa giraffa) - (2 subspecies) South African giraffe (Giraffa giraffa giraffa) Angolan giraffe (Giraffa giraffa angolensis)
- Masai giraffe (Giraffa tippelskirchi) - (1 Ecotype) Thornicroft’s giraffe - Ecotype
NOTE: It is important to mention that some sources, even reliable, still have the one species classification which is different from the one above.
