- Here are the patch notes for Soulmask from June 27, this is hotfix number 8. They added new teleporters to the map, a bunch of new settings for solo games and private servers. You can have more personal portals on official servers and they now allow you to bring tribesman with you through the portal with some restrictions. Now all I need is a Shift Toggle for sprinting and the game is perfect!
That chair update is funny, I want them to sit in the chairs but they keep sitting in front of them on the floor instead haha
I was going insane. I checked 3 of the spots in this video and none of them existed... Finally decided to try and force an update by verifying integrity of game files and sure enough the portals showed up.
Wish you would've made a map walkthrough if each new portal quick reference. But great video still, quick and efficient, informative
A video showcasing where the new portals are would be much more appreciated

@@wak4863 I’m supposed to triangulate the exact position of each portal based on your multiple bonfires that appear on screen for 10 seconds that each say 2k-5k meters away?

@@E-JFD Unless I misunderstood the video, he zooms out on the map after showcasing each portal in game so you can see where it is on the map and also in relation to the nearest Holy Ruins or pyramid.

Ohhhhh the entire background footage is him showcasing the portals! I clearly glossed over this explanation I was just listening to the updates my bad
We have noticed they have reduced xp from killing mobs and also we have noticed when mining were not getting the same per node of copper tin etc etc etc that wasnt in the patch notes
I think it's the first game in the world when developers are actually listening to the community and doing what people are asking for.

I wish the developers could make maybe 2-3 more maps. same size just different like randomized. im not saying i am done with the game lol but the game is beautiful. It reminds me of one of my favorite movies( Apocalypto)

Hey Wak, any word on if/when we will be allowed to respawn our mount nearby when we die and have to respawn at our base that is 3,000 meters away? This happened to me because I went to fight the Vajra Ape in order to see his move set and he grabbed me and one shot my character, so I had to respawn back at base, whilst my Alpaca was still at the boss some 3,000 meters away.

I understand that a campfire can fix part of the issue. My issue is I will still need to go all the way back to my base in order to rebuild my dead tribesman. It would be nice if I could respawn at my base, with my mount if I die.
I wonder what the reason is that they did not just use the existing portals as a travel portal and have instead added separate ones.
You mean the ones on top of the pyramids? Those are cross server portals for PvP.

Great game to play until DUNE will be released... and maybe after as well, since i doubt funcom will make something out of it, considering that Conan exile is still bugged af & not fixed 8 years later xD
Have they fix npc pathing ? Whats the point of taming alot of tribesmen when they'll just glitch out
I've been playing 11 days now and haven't had one glitch, I find the pathing amazing compared to palworld. Every time I thought I had a glitch it was a logistics problem on my end.
Actually I lied, I remember once my outhouse caused my dudes to stop moving and be stuck on a wall, but I figured out it was the outhouse, I moved it and it never happend again.
They only get stuck for me when the their workstation queue is full
@seanmatteo3523 im on a pvp official server so my base has alot of doors i find that all those doors bugs them out if i leave my base completely open they'll go out (around 5 6 tribesmen) but once i get to like 10 tribesmen they tweak out. They walk into walls even if my base is completely open.
@@leon61915 I would try and track down what they are trying to get to, but maybe I just have different circumstances on my dedicated pve server, one being there's only two people on my server.
Gotta let ppl do w.e they want in games like this. Can't have restrictions or it gets boring and annoying

How so?
Soulmask needs more soul in it. This is a curious little game, it has great mechanics especially what comes to your tribesmen and automating their work and tasks, it has the living village mechanic that was promised to be in Conan, but never was. But it has no interesting gameplay, everything feels painfully grindy and not fun, all the camps and dungeons are just hack hack through countles enemies for lackluster rewards. Map is really tedious to travel around and doesn't encourage exploring.
Every time I started a new playthrough in Conan, I spent ten, twelve hours straight every day playing. In this game I have to force myself to play for a full hour even. Soulmask just don't draw you in to play like Conan did, and that's a shame, I was so much hoping this would be the next big game for me.
Perhaps I need to give PvP a go, maybe harassing other players would give me some fuzzy feelings this game is missing otherwise.
I've had quite the opposite experience. It seems I simply lose time while engaged in the game. It draws me to figure out, find, or organize well beyond the time frame I should be playing in.
