I got married being a virgin in 2015 (I had never used a tampon or cup being a virgin). I recently tried to use the smallest cup and it DOES NOT OPEN INSIDE ME. It's uncomfortable (My opinion, and I'm not a virgin anymore). According to MY GYNECOLOGIST MEDICAL GODMOTHER, the edge of the cup can rub or hurt the cervix and can also cause prolapse. Interestingly! I found on net that in the history of mensturation there has been only 2 reported cases of TSS due to menstrual cups. And also due to tampons are very very rare. 😃 Also men and children get TSS not only women.

Maybe that's due to cramps, that usually haappens during periods.
And check if u cervex is actually getting into cup. Sometime it remains outside the cup and cup pushes it backwards, it also hurts somehow.

As long as you clean and sterilise the cup by boiling it for 10 minutes in hot water before and after every use, then it is safe. Every woman should definitely try this. When i used it for the first time i felt so worried while removing it as i cudnot reach the cup properly to release the vaccum so i thought am not going to use it again. But as it is environment friendly i really wanted to switch to cup. So decided to continue using it. But trust me its totally worth it. Problem with me was i was putting it higher up thinking that it will leak so with cotton reusable pad as back up i tried putting it as low as possible so that i can reach it easily to remove the vaccum which totally worked out for me. So dont panic take your time to get familiar with your comfortable method. It might take 2-3 cycles or more than that to get adjusted but once you are used to insert it and remove it you will never go back to pads because its so comfortable and dont even feel like you are on your periods.If you are afraid that it will leak you can use cloth pads or reusable period panty as extra safety measure.

I want to know whether I'm fit to use a cup becuz I feel( something similar ) my cervix very very close to my vagina . I could feel it just as I slide my finger into my vagina, before even the length of the first knuckle. And the odd thing is I could run my finger beyond it from the side.. Is it normal? @@lakshmithasridhar3175 There's this fact I learned recently which could help you answer your question. The cervix actually can move higher or lower depending on the time of the cycle. Now, it may be that your cervix moves higher as your period approaches. In that case, I don't think there will be a problem using it. It's always good to measure where your cervix lies though, and compare it with the cup sizes available in the market. Also, make sure to consult a gynaecologist about the matter. They might be able to give more insight about your situation. Hope that helped!

The cup will not go too far..even if it does you can try to push( like we do for poop). The stem will come out.

After laying or after 2-3 hrs it's leaking even i don't have havy flow and even it's open inside properly,i m using large size in everteen.
Try one size less.
Basically the size difference is the width of the mouth of the cup so like the doctor said if you have delivered you would need bigger size if not you can use smaller one otherwise it could be loose and like you said it may leak I guess.

U have to be sure that the suction has been created... Its just impossible for a menstrual cup to leak if the suction is proper...
