This is a 1970 charger, not 69... unless, they swapped the front end to a 70.
Most likely is a 70' the tail lights also look that of a 70' rather than a 69'

I love the channel the cars are amazing but as the owner of a speed shop that has a chassis dyno I really question owner/builders saying the cars make 600 plus whp. Not saying this car does not make the power but it takes a stout big block to make 600 wheel through an auto. We see it all the time guys making those claims and they barely break 400whp

Why doesn’t Dodge build this car? They’d sell a million of them. The 68 thru 70 chargers are such an iconic design. I don’t care if it’s not super aerodynamic. IT LOOKS BADASS!
Its a very niche market and would cost too much

@@VL1975 - the current “charger” is a charger in name plate only. They could do a total redesign and make it look like this. The arguments I’m hearing are the same ones I heard back in the 80s when they tried to revive the charger nameplate. They said the challenger was too retro to sell to anyone. “Regular” people wouldn’t buy that because it doesn’t look like other modern cars. That is exactly why it sells! It doesn’t look like everything else. Build the retro charger and they will sell.
@@wkanost sure, but challengers entered the scene at the perfect time. If they tried making two different two door performance cars they'd be murdered in sales. They dont sell too well. Only exception being high end luxury, which dodge is definitely not

I'm no expert but I would say north of 60 grand would be good start or major deal.

Looks like a 1970 500. The rear has the 1970 500 filler panel as well it seems?, it could be a 1969 if they have switched the front fenders, hood, lower valance panel, bumper and added the rear filler panel. Only the vin can tell the truth. Quite the difference between a 69 500 and a 70 500

He has back up switches for everything if the iPad fails. 10 year old build so at the time this was way ahead of the game

That car is a dream. I've always been a muscle car guy but last few years I've gotten into the super and exotic cars. But that sound of that Charger speaks to my soul. While all these Car TH-camrs are caving to the electric takeover, I hope you never do that. (I saw a video where a guy put an electric motor into a 67 Porsche!) If there's no refuge for us muscle car lovers, then it's pointless to watch car videos anymore. Thanks for remaining true!

Why filming in a residential neighborhood?
Cause that’s how it worked out that day. Typically we shoot at my shop but this was in Vegas and where the owner lived and limited on time because of SEMA

I like the 70 front end - looks more modern. But the "500" badges? No! There is nothing "500" on this car. My question is this. Is it really a 69? or is it a 70? Beautiful car! Love the interior!
It’s a 69 and a 500 that he started with but it’s heavily customized and built 10 years ago
