My story. Was drinking 3-4 cups every morning and then hitting the gym. Past year had bad knee joint pain. As last resort quit coffee cold turkey. After 2 weeks all pain went away as well the joint inflammation. I believe I developed cortisol resistance from coffee and exercise. Reset it by quitting coffee. But coffee is awesome in the morning so back to 1-2 cups, so far so good. Update: welp after going back to coffee achy joints started again. Was in pain after playing golf and couldn’t concentrate either. So no more coffee. Don’t care what anybody says, there’s nothing positive about coffee. It’s a drug.
I have to give Dr. Berg praise. 2 years ago i was told by my dr that i am pre-diabetic. My A1C was 6.0 and climbing, and i was 215lbs, which is obese for my height at 5'8". I then stopped all soda, ate better and dropped to 185lbs. Despite doing that for 1 year my A1C was still 6.0 one year later. Well thats when i found Dr berg talk about intermitten fasting. That was the plan i followed, i started with 16:8 then moved to a 20:4, yet my A1C only dropped to 5.9! I then moved to a O.M.A.D. plan, stictly eating a protien and salad or vegetables. It took about 1 year but i am now 170lbs and just yesterday my A1C score dropped to 5.2 and i am no longer pre-diabetic. Thank you Dr Berg!

I started a clean diet & eliminating caffeine so I went off of coffee for a month and it was rough. I was drinking 2-3 cups a day prior to that. I really believe my brain/body needs a day. I’m back to a cup a day and I feel much better. I focus better and I have less daytime sleepiness.

I used to love coffee until I developed anxiety and panic attacks, I had to switch to matcha. Still has the caffeine to wake me up, matcha containes L-Theanine which makes you calmer. So i get the caffeine benefits without jitters and crash mid day. Matcha has a more stable effect on my energy level. I'm going 2 years now without coffee. Still hard to believe sometimes, but i think it's worth it. 😊

Coffee just makes me happy! Trying to cut down on sweetness (I use stevia) but usually also add pink salt and coconut milk...and maybe grassfed butter, cinnamon, cloves, cayenne...(not all at once, but spices add a pleasant twist!)

I've been off coffee for 2 months now and I sleep better, I am less tired after lunch in the afternoon and I am more relaxed in general. (I used to drink 2 cups per day). I occasionally still drink a cup here and there but NOT daily. I feel waaay better in general!

Woke up my mother after surgery. Because the doctors & nurses couldn’t wake her up. So i suggested coffee and was ignored. Coffee lady came around and i quickly gave mother caffeine just a sip and woke her up. She suffers from low blood pressure. Nurse was surprised

I have a cup of warm water & lemon when I wake up! Then after my shower I have my coffee strong & black! When I get to work I have another coffee! I drink lots of water at work or I have a ginseng tea! When I get home I have a cup of rosehip & hibiscus tea! I have sparkling water with my dinner! I have a peppermint & liquorice tea after that!

@@juliefromusa2245 I started roasting in a pan over a gas flame. I did this for two years and learned a lot about the coffee roasting process. It's quite complex. An art, really. Highly recommended.
I LOVE coffee but I recently gave it up after drinking it for over 45 years. I started going to a naturopath and found I have a congested liver. One of the symptoms was belching and some pain. I'm detoxing and feel much better. I noticed I would start belching and feel bloated much of the time after consuming certain things. Coffee was one of them. I stopped drinking coffee and within a day the belching and bloated feeling went away. After 4 days I tried a cup of coffee in the morning as an experiment and 10 minutes after drinking it I started belching again. My naturopath thinks it may be the chemicals used in the growing and processing of coffee so I am going to buy some organic coffee and see if that affects me or not. I hope going organic works because I would hate to go without coffee for the rest of my life.
Love to hear the results. I'm going through the same process. I have organic decaf, noticed the milk caused Bloating so switched to coconut milk...it's better. I'm also slowly moving to all decaf...thinking the caffeine may be an issue and I know the caffeine messes up my sleep even at 1 weak cup at 1 pm.
@@amyroessing4388 .... I have low stomach acid and have to take a supplement to increase my acid. Otherwise I get acid reflux. It sounds counter-intuitive but it works. You need enough acid in your stomach to activate the valve at the top that keeps acid from flowing up and out of your stomach. Dr. Berg did a video about it.

This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health. The way it is prepared also changes things. It should never be re-heated, nor put into the microwave. Try to drink it black, without sugar and without milk.
Coffee is great for your liver and kidneys! Of course you don't want to add a lot of sugars because that sort of negates the positive properties... But there are so many positive aspects of coffee! Ironically The Europeans have figured out that coffee must be had before noon... That having coffee after lunch time because of your body rhythms does not give you the host of benefits it does in the morning.

That's why I would never be 100 percent canivore. I'm 64 5'10 173 and still pumping iron for life. Lost 30 pounds cutting out useless carbs .Don't eat fruits or vegetables hardly ever. But I like honey, milk , a potato and some peanut butter cups on the weekend as a treat for not indulging all week on garbage food. I love my morning coffee.

I've always only drank one cup in the morning, black & no sugar and lately, maybe one cup in the afternoon with 2 teaspoons of organic, extra virgin cold pressed olive oil.
You know the two coffees I enjoy the most are Kona coffee (Hawaiian coffee) And actually 8 oclock coffee... I have a wide variety of coffees at work and I have several at home but those are my two favorites... And I like mine with half and half and sometimes a little cinnamon... But I want to try it now with allspice and nutmeg...
I use a French press. Add a little salt to the grounded beans and then add enough water to get the beans just wet. Mix and mash that with a wooden spoon while waiting for the water to boil. Then add the boiled water to mix and wait 10 mins. I add a bit more salt to my cup and pour the coffee with some heavy whipping cream. It's so good and easy to drink without sugar. If I feel like blending, then I will make coffee with butter and MCT oil.
I max out at around 4 or 5 cups. I do it differently. I make a strong 8-10 oz but I put a heaping 1/4 tsp each of baking soda, ground ginger, cinnamon and a dash of cayenne on top of 2 tsp of dark brown sugar in the actual cup. THEN I put in a teaspoon of baking cocoa. 1/4 cup of whole or 2% milk and pour the coffee in , mix well, and add 6 -7 ice cubes.
I have been drinking coffee since I was 10 yrs old. I can’t imagine life without coffee. 2 cups in the morning 1 cup in the afternoon 1 cup after supper. 3 sweet and low with coffee mate non dairy no carbs no sugar . No problem going to sleep. I will drink coffee till my dieing day. Thank God for coffee. Much better for you than Capps and Lattas.
I very sadly had to break up with coffee as the acidity was causing gut issues 😭 my morning brew is dandelion with chicory … it’s not the same but def a great alternative and my gut is much happier.

Coffee just makes me happy! Trying to cut down on sweetness (I use stevia) but usually also add pink salt and coconut milk...and maybe grassfed butter, cinnamon, cloves, cayenne...(not all at once, but spices add a pleasant twist!)

I've been off coffee for 2 months now and I sleep better, I am less tired after lunch in the afternoon and I am more relaxed in general. (I used to drink 2 cups per day). I occasionally still drink a cup here and there but NOT daily. I feel waaay better in general!

@@juliefromusa2245 I started roasting in a pan over a gas flame. I did this for two years and learned a lot about the coffee roasting process. It's quite complex. An art, really. Highly recommended.
I LOVE coffee but I recently gave it up after drinking it for over 45 years. I started going to a naturopath and found I have a congested liver. One of the symptoms was belching and some pain. I'm detoxing and feel much better. I noticed I would start belching and feel bloated much of the time after consuming certain things. Coffee was one of them. I stopped drinking coffee and within a day the belching and bloated feeling went away. After 4 days I tried a cup of coffee in the morning as an experiment and 10 minutes after drinking it I started belching again. My naturopath thinks it may be the chemicals used in the growing and processing of coffee so I am going to buy some organic coffee and see if that affects me or not. I hope going organic works because I would hate to go without coffee for the rest of my life.

Love to hear the results. I'm going through the same process. I have organic decaf, noticed the milk caused Bloating so switched to coconut milk...it's better. I'm also slowly moving to all decaf...thinking the caffeine may be an issue and I know the caffeine messes up my sleep even at 1 weak cup at 1 pm.
@@amyroessing4388 .... I have low stomach acid and have to take a supplement to increase my acid. Otherwise I get acid reflux. It sounds counter-intuitive but it works. You need enough acid in your stomach to activate the valve at the top that keeps acid from flowing up and out of your stomach. Dr. Berg did a video about it.

That's why I would never be 100 percent canivore. I'm 64 5'10 173 and still pumping iron for life. Lost 30 pounds cutting out useless carbs .Don't eat fruits or vegetables hardly ever. I replaced breakfast with black, sugarless Coffee. I pushed my first meal of the day to past 12:00 noon.
I use a French press. Add a little salt to the grounded beans and then add enough water to get the beans just wet. Mix and mash that with a wooden spoon while waiting for the water to boil. Then add the boiled water to mix and wait 10 mins. I add a bit more salt to my cup and pour the coffee with some heavy whipping cream. It's so good and easy to drink without sugar.
If I feel like blending, then I will make coffee with butter and MCT oil.

I max out at around 4 or 5 cups. I do it differently. I make a strong 8-10 oz but I put a heaping 1/4 tsp each of baking soda, ground ginger, cinnamon and a dash of cayenne on top of 2 tsp of dark brown sugar in the actual cup. THEN I put in a teaspoon of baking cocoa. 1/4 cup of whole or 2% milk and pour the coffee in , mix well, and add 6 -7 ice cubes.
I have been drinking coffee since I was 10 yrs old. I can’t imagine life without coffee. 2 cups in the morning 1 cup in the afternoon 1 cup after supper. 3 sweet and low with coffee mate non dairy no carbs no sugar . No problem going to sleep. I will drink coffee till my dieing day. Thank God for coffee. Much better for you than Capps and Lattas.
