    As someone who is transitioning from being a long time Canon user to using the Sony A7Riii, obviously the menu structure is completely different between the two - I found this video to be fantastic. Super clear, easy to understand and helpful. Thanks!

    This video is GOLD!! I like that you not only describe what a setting does, but also why it does what it does. A must-watch for a7iii users wanting to get the most out of their camera!

    Wow! I just ordered my a7iii, to replace my Canon 80D, and I sat here glued to my screen for the entire video. Thank you so much for all of the info!

    What an amazing walk through of the menu system. Excellent work. I watched Tony Northrup's video and Jared Polin's video. None of them covered the menu system like you have done it. Jared didn't even know the meaning of many menu settings you have excellently explained. Thanks so much. I have saved it to my Playlist and am going to refer to it again and again.

    Really love how you went in depth and explained everything in detail. Even when you didn't use certain settings, you still explained it without bashing it in case someone can make use of it or if they preferred it. Some people will not explain something just because they don't like it or use it but you thoroughly described each function and gave objective and positive information. Super High Quality on your part. Thank you very much for your explanation. I learned a lot with you!

    • @Photonarmy
      @Photonarmy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you kindly. It is definitely a struggle explaining a function that you wouldn't use yourself... I just assume there's a case for everything. :)

    On this Sony A7r III 3 an important thing is missing which is the color inversion or negative. Very useful for reproducing color or black and white negatives. Many photographers have these negatives in stock and could digitize them. I hope this message reaches Mr. Sony's ears.

    Looks like a great video to getting into the dirty details! For those who are big fans of Sony products, it is no surprise that the menus are deep and the learning curve can be steep... But for some, that's actually a good thing, as it affords a degree of control that other products don't provide... And after all, some of the features only need be visited once to get things set up the way you want! I had an A7rii and was not happy with it in some regards, but this version appears to be an upgrade, and actually appears to make for a camera worth hanging on to! Time will tell... 😃

      Nice, I've considered it a few hundred times. I'm going to hold off until the S III announcement before charting my next move. I'm crossing my fingers for 4k/60p and higher bitrates. Beyond sensor performance, Sony hasn't brought us any improvement in video capture since the a6300... the S III at least needs to be an answer to Panasonic's advances.

    • @6gwilliams
      @6gwilliams 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeff Ello, yes the A7SIII will be a video monster for sure. I can use the A7III right now, and if the SIII is great, I will add that to my kit too. Cheers

Like others among your viewership, I am a Canon user going back to the 5D classic (which I still own and use). I won't say that I'm transitioning to Sony as I have already owned the Sony A7RII. But your video has made things clear to me, clearer than ever before.
