Everyone should’ve seen how urgent the situation was but instead they only cared about what they would get in return in the moment. Poor hen

Oh I love that Stone Soup story but it makes more sense in the version I'm aware of.... where the little town offered one item for the soup from each household. This version here doesn't make sense, especially since the old lady said that she was as poor as a church mouse. The soldier seems like a swindler in this one, too. In the story I know the soldier, taught the town how to contribute and join together in unity.

The hen and slowberry was just dark because I feel bad for the crockrell because he wanted to help the hen but everyone wanted something and he wasted so much time getting them items that it too late to save the hen.😔 I also feel bad for the narrator.He read the story so fast. 🤣🤣🤣

19:24 I think P.Ramlee, a great Malaysian artist had a similar plot in his film Nujum Pak Belalang. Belalang in Malay is grasshopper, which is kinda similar to crickets.

European cultures are very much interconnected. Upon the undeniable weird Finnish/Turcic/Iranian ancient roots Hungarian folk tales have lots of German, Romanian and various Slavic input. Almost all tales collected by the Grimm brothers have their Hungarian version due to the German minority in Hungary, but playing Witcher also feels also very familar because of the strong slavic cultural footprintover here. And Romanians have a very strong influence on the music (look up Bartók's works). "Hungary" is the wikipedia picture of diversity, even if we dont always seem to admit.
The story about The Prince who wanted to live forever had a spoken error in it. The narrator said “When the King threw the prince up high”. Pretty odd to have made this kind of mistake, don’t you think?
In most stories, it's set in an olden time, when women weren't given much rights. Hence it's considered normal for women to just go along with men, for the sake of surviving in harsh society. Like in the story of princesses sneak out night, dance with devils and tear their slippers (tear slipper- losing v card). Two of those princesses get imprisoned every night. The third, youngest one was married off, as a reward, to the guy who proved to the king, about where the princess went and what they did.
