  • Extinction Rebellion takes to the streets with hundreds of nature organisations including the National Trust, RSPB, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Friends of the Earth and many more to demand the UK Government Restore Nature Now! Backed by Chris Packham, Megan McCubbin, Dame Judi Dench and Emma Thompson, this is the biggest show of force for nature the UK has ever seen and comes at a time when the State of Nature report has shown that the UK is one of the most nature depleted countries in Europe.

Why hasn't the BBC news online covered this huge demonstration???

      ABSOLUTELY!!
Please join the hundreds of us who have written to the BBC to demand why our publicly owned Broadcaster is keeping this silent.
Just google 'write to the BBC'.
They react to Public Pressure. It's their job.

Now you are seeing the BBC selective silence. They do this all of the time with stories they do not like. Now you are seeing it for yourself..

As so many people have piojnted out - if we let nature die, we lose the ability to grow food, to have our waste products cleaned by the natural systems and even lose drinking water. When even water is expensive, you know things are bad.
The Middle East was the 'Fertile Crescent - the place where the first cities were built because they produced so much food. We over-farmed it and exhausted the souil. Now it's desert and scrubland.
What was once the richest place on Earth is now a deprived place of subsistence survival.
      Cheers!

Can we please give members a checklist so somthing real can actually happen because this is just street theatre.
When members are living this way they can lead by example and incourage others to do the same.

Totally agree with the Drax thing, but it was the eco greenies that caused it. It is their inability to understand the detail or even the basics of the industry that lead to Drax.
Biomass isn't just a few grass clippings or some pallets from behind the co op. It requires a massive input and trees are the only thing that the greens allowed.
You do realise that wood pellets contain a lot less energy than fossil fuels so you need a lot more to provide the same energy.
You would be a lot more eco if you burned the local coal as intended or even just burned all the diesel that is used to cut the wood in America and transport the pellets to Yorkshire. And left the trees uncut.
Aah Vince dale the sponsor of JSO vandalism, who gets millions from renewables subsidies, taken from your pockets by a green tax on your energy bills ( approx 30%). Just think your bills could be 30% cheaper straightaway by removing the payments to the JSO vandals paymaster. Remember when you are shivering in winter , he donated large sums to labour just as starbot was saying that JSO vandalism would be dealt with severely. Know that labour is in this guy's pocket when something you hold dear gets vandalised by JSO.
