Thank you brother for this video of gardening. I just move from the city to live in my farm big hectare. I want to connect with nature and live on my farm. At the moment I have financial issues so I was having difficulty in employing people to work on my farm. Your video have boosted my way of thinking and how to do farming the easier way. I will be doing this method of farming now. Thank you so much for your knowledge of farming the easy way. God bless you Sending lights, love, hugs, 😘 to you from Papua New ♥️♥️🇵🇬🇵🇬
Last summer I do that lazy Garden, I inserted seeds to the breaking soil with cleavages that were formed from parching land. I insert beans, corn, okra and watermelon, cultivated it when grown and covered it with miulch. The cleavages of cracked land let roots penetrate deep to seek moisture, letting plants survive despite the dry season. The onset of rains will envigorate the plants, weeds will grow but the cultivated plants will have competitive advantage since they colonized the area earlier than weeds.
Grass helps the soil to retain the water for so long, so watering your plant isnt that necessary unless on a very dry season, so in short you save water, time and energy. Thanks to you Jon.
Yes, good soil has what they call friability, which crumbles by handling, indicating the soil has structure. This type of soil holds both water & nutrients for plants on "demand" -- AKA, has high humus content.
Farming is about knowledge: the knowledge of the type of soil, the knowledge of animals and insects, the knowledge of the plants, the knowledge of the weather: matching the right plants with the type of soil and weather, knowing the behaviour of the fauna only then one can be a Lazy gardener. Wonderful. Do you sow different type of seeds in the same tillaged spot or you try to sow just one type of seed in each tillaged spot?
I'm a fervent lover of a lazy garden, the diversity of plants, insects and animals are wonderful, it attracts small mammals as moles, hedgehogs, stray cats, a salamander, slugsand is a goldmine on medicinal plants, At present I use the leaves of dandelions for salade, it's very bitter . Since I had a heart failure one month ago I try to reduce the intake of diuretics by eating dandelion leaves as they have the same diuretic working. What can I do when people took away my healthy lifestyle

My parents just recently bought garden, but it is in Europe so it is quite different and growing is less complicated and simple, due to cold weather conditions. Thank you for the video and garden advices,Jon!
You can go one step further and go no dig. No need to till the soil over. just add your compost on top of soil or straw and leaves whatever you have and go from there. You will build better soil this way with more soil structure which is better for holding more water. it may be Lazy but you seem to of planed it out well more like companion planting where all the plants complement each other in some way.

Grass is not the issue. It's a snake environment even with other plants. Very simple solution for snakes in your land is a cat. Keep a cat or two and they will get rid of the snakes

@@JonJandaiLifeisEasy hi man. One big problem in gardening are the weeds also removing weeds requires lot of work man.
