Next level - don't start on the root of the note on the 1, but rather start on the 1 note that makes that particular chord minory or majory.

@joeduncan08 yup, then the 5th, 7th, 9th etc. keep going to get new sounds. But…the slow practice I recommend - with only targeting 1 note - is to build your ear to hear each sound.
