Amazing speech! However, now the Harris campaign needs to develop a simplified message for low information voters for whom "the economy" is their grocery bill. She needs to say that she will end monopolies and force grocery producers to compete and bring down prices or something like that
This is not a domestic issue as they are presenting it, food prices are going to keep going up because these are GLOBAL monopolies. US food companies don't just work in the US, they have been driving down competition on the global stage! In fact this is one of the factors driving the immigration crisis. If people aren't able to produce their own food because America wants to them to import instead (venezuela) expect the crisis to worsen.

Here in Europe I pay 43% of taxes on my income and after deducting the expenses for the house I still have 85 thousand euros left as annual net income, to which all the deductions, reductions in the taxable base and reimbursements for some of the expenses incurred that the tax authorities consider as such must be added, and although there are always challenges and problems to face here too, in truth we lack nothing in our lives nor in the lives of the people around us because a civil society is such only if we are always united and ready to help each other and the state and its administrative structures represent exactly this, i.e., the sublimation and unification of our will to always be one single thing.
And I am happy to pay this 43% tax to the treasury because it is used to pay for the universal health system and to allow everyone to have access to care including preventive care (unlike the US that is still the only developed country not to have a universal healthcare system and which for years has been deceived by a part of the political system that defined the single-payer healthcare system - that is sometimes based on public hospitals, sometimes on private hospitals - as a road to socialism. This was a total distortion of reality since the public healthcare system similar to the European model would save between 70,000 and 101,000 American lives every year according to the World Health Organization, which classifies them as "preventable deaths", and that would also cost between USD 350 billion and USD 570 billion less every year than the figure that Americans pay today for a totally private system. Supporters of the totally private system in the United States claim that one advantage of the US system is not having long waiting lists or lines for medical services and tests, or that the US system has a lot of economic resources to invest in medical research and although this last thing is certainly true, what is absolutely not true is that our European single-payer system does not allow to reach these same results, because the waiting times are very short or sometimes non-existent even here, because if we want we can use private health facilities and hospitals that also exist here and medical research is of an excellent level here too, such as at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin for example, even if with fewer resources than in the United States.
