Holy crap. I think I can honestly say that out of the countless hours of TH-cam I’ve watched in my life, this is probably my favorite video I’ve ever seen. I’m honestly blown away by how much talent you have - you have an incredible understanding and feel of so many drastically different musical styles, and the production/mixing of all the genres was spot-on. And not only that, but you filmed and edited this together in a pleasing and entertaining way. I mean, everything from the lighting, to the different outfits, to the facial expressions...everything. I can’t even imagine the hours you put into this. How this video doesn’t have well over 1 mil views is beyond me. Not sure if you’re ever going to read this comment, but I want you to know how much I (and I’m sure many others) appreciate all the work you put into this video!
Haha! Thank you so much! I listened to a lot of Jpop and Euro stuff in the mid to late 90s when we got internet for the first time. Took a whole day to download anything, lol. Then DDR came out and I played it every chance I got. Good times.
Similar to this, I like when modern artists take “samples” from older pieces of music and turn it into something new! Some call it stealing, but as long as the original artist is properly accredited, I think it’s very creative! You can look up videos of songs with their samples and be amazed.

Maybe its because some/most songs have overlapping genres.
Caleb Binyenya those become subgenres, where they elements from 2 or more genres, I.E. metalcore takes elements from metal and hardcore music

One small flaw with the ragtime one is that ragtime picks up tempo after the slow intro. It nearly always starts slow and ups the tempo.
