For those people who are curious about why this version sounds slightly different I believe this is a pre-mastered demo of the original track. The original was created the same year as GH2, however I'm guessing the game developers needed the track done months before the games release, so Freezepop probably just gave them the demo version. This is also done in "Thunderhorse" and "Yes We Can" which coincidentally were also bonus tracks. Technically both Thunderhorse, Yes We Can and LTMR were performed by their respective artist which is why they are listed as "performed by" despite not actually being the original master tracks of these songs. The developers were probably ok using the demo versions of these tracks since they were only included as bonuses.
Most of the bands from the bonus tracks are from the same area, mainly Boston and Providence Rhode Island and were personal friends of the devs in many cases.
No way. There's more challenging hammer on songs to prep you for Jordan, but like my guy Kaden DeBell said, I've gotten to like 57% but christ I'll never pass that song on expert
Theres more synth on the voice in this version too. the official video sounds more... human? At least the one you can find NOW does. i swear there was another video at one point....
I'm 10 years old and my first rhythm game was Rock Band 2 in 2015. I've gotten 99% on this song on expert (on Clone Hero, so it's not as much as a problem on with the engine) and my fingers are perfect. You fine buddy? You might have had carpal tunnel or something.
When I was 13-14 I used to play Guitar Hero games with my dad, like we would just sit down and watch each other fail lol then we'd just do co-op too~ then afterwards we'd watch concerts from the browser on our ps3 before youtube became an app LOL until 1am I'm already 27 but is those moments that stick with you for life, I live in a different country now but will see my dad again next month and stay for a month. I'm sure most teenagers who played GH have children now, and if you're watching this just want to say, spend time with your children as much as you can, do things together, it's meaningful in ways you can't imagine. Love you dad!
At 100% with correct execution of Star Power, 411k points can be reached. Not really an error, but the opportunity was at 3:01 (should not have used the SP until the chorus is done). Also, fill SP bar first then go all out at choruses. Did it way back 12 years ago. Will always be my favorite track off the boards to repeat and play over and over again.
Why would you lie about something that's so easy to disprove? The highest score ever achieved on this song is 394,382, there is no possible way you got 17k more than that.
@@aWiseMoose There is. The timing of SP and where it is used is inaccurate to say the least, but the perfect clear is already commendable. I am not here to brag about what can be achieved higehr here since I haven't been recording mine way back, but setting the gameplay aside and the math behind how the scores run, there are two conditions: 1. The greater the SP bar to full while activating it in a part of the song hitting more buttons will generate more score albeit there is a higher chance you will miss the next set of SP-generating part, and; 2. Activating the SP just right before the next one arrives. With these two conditions, a higher score can be achieved if the SP has been used on buttons instead of bars and a full bar just right at the final guitar solo before the song ends. Again, no argument here as hitting this at a 100% is already an A+ but if you are an absolute perfectionist and OCD-driven like me when I was playing GH2 way back, there is a higher ceiling that can be achieved. (All logic goes the same but is much more obvious on those with steady flow of buttons and those where you have to smash tons such as Beast and the Harlot and Freebird.)
@@aWiseMooseTo back the thing I said above by Math, SP works by doubling the current multiplier you have by streak (max 40). Based on the timings where you activated your SP versus the ideal ones... 1. 0:49 - accurate 2. 1:22 - miss, the SP could have activated here to press more buttons 3. 2:03 - inaccurate. SP generated in this stance is wasted (could have already saved 1/4).u 4. 2:48 - the bar could have already been enough at this point to rake points (ignoring the bar shake) before reaching 3:02 if 2:03 is conserved, plus you still get extra 1/4 of the bar. this point is pivotal but is very inconspicuous for the extra score. 5. 3:27 - inaccurate. the buttons here are scarce. could have saved for a full blast at the beginning of the final solo. 6. 3:57 - accurate, but the remaining SP source until the end could have been utilized as an extra. 7. 4:28 - activate immediately after getting it as it is the last. The inaccuracies (doesn't mean it is wrong) would generate a better 100% score. Try it if you still have your rig with you. EDIT: 1/2 SP is equal to an entire beat of the song (including the bar shakes) which is about 12 seconds for Less Talk More Rokk.

This song was such a good one to get into using a controller (used that for MP since I only had 1 guitar). Lots of repetitive runs and a low number of chords, easy to do fluid movements on the controller. What a banger. Good times
Hey, don't give up hope! I was digging through my garage a few weeks back when I found where my PS2 and stash of PS2 games went after I moved. That was a fun night :) Btw, personal opinion alert: I think GHLive is shit (I bought it and was disappointed)
If you think that, to look up clone hero, pick up an Xbox 360 guitar (easy to find at Goodwill usually), and then find all sorts of songs and setlists online! The GH community is still alive! Lol
When I was 12 I already got perfect in this song but now I'm 17 idk if I still can't do since I already sold my PS2 5 years ago I miss when my hands hurts too much when playing this game
dude! I thought I was one of the only weirdos that played this game with a standard controller (and not the guitar controller) this was always my absolute FAVORITE song to play! even seeing/hearing this video, my fingers automatically want to start tapping away, like the muscle memory is still there all these years later. (PS, just for reference, I played on a standard ps2 controller)
Dog the only reason why I played with the standard controllers cuz I was too broke to get the you know a little guitar controller but it was really fun
I remember that when I was young and played gh with my family, I was the only one who could get 100% on this song :’) this gives me a lot of nostalgia to being 10 again lol
I can't watch this video without moving my fingers
Me too
Same lol. The back of my phone was the controller 🤣
YES
OWEMJIIIII YEEEES

2022 and still a masterpiece. One of my favorite songs in Guitar Hero

Same. This song in particular reminds me of the good old times playing with my friends from high school.
Straight facts
Same here ❤️🏴🤟 love from Scotland
Ah the feeling of the walls melting around you after staring at a screen without blinking.
The real fun begins when you can't see the pips anymore and just react on pure instinct
i wonder why is that happening
when you start entering the Flow State
OMG ikr. Must. Not. Blink. My eyes would be burning after a long song. Good ol days lol
It almost feels like a rite of passage for this game

that's really interesting, where did you get that from?
The nostalgia I get from playing these games is insane...it hurts it's so good!!!!!
This was one of my favorite songs from any/all Guitar Hero and being able to do this on expert felt like one of my greatest achievements.
same lol
Catchiest song ever on guitar hero. It will make your fingers tired and dead by the end as well!
Thwompthing try playing Sudden death then
@Stone Cold Try to tap oranges with your strumming hand. Works for me
This is the song you use to practice hammer-ons before jumping into Jordan
I never completely finished GH2 because my disc broke, but that explains it.
Totally. But dont let me pretend ive actually passed Jordan on expert past 54%.
No way. There's more challenging hammer on songs to prep you for Jordan, but like my guy Kaden DeBell said, I've gotten to like 57% but christ I'll never pass that song on expert
Expert with Hyperspeed cheatcodes. Lol HAHAHAHAHA
Pretty much haha Freezepop are an amazing underrated band, they are epic
Something about Axel Steel headbanging the shit out of himself to this gives me a good chuckle.
That, and his face on the newspaper.
i like the guitar hero version way better than the official one
Chris Green this one wasn't a cover,
BJ Yoshi guitar hero version is different. This one you can hear the main instrument better while the orginal is low. Also they added some notes
Ssgss-Spidey That's just a thing in the options you turn it off completely so it has none of the main instrument or adjust its volume.
Theres more synth on the voice in this version too. the official video sounds more... human? At least the one you can find NOW does. i swear there was another video at one point....
if i remember correctly they redo every instrumental in this game. i think also the singers too.
Ahhh the Memories
Thunderhorse
Less Talk More Rokk
Free Bird
Cannon rock? Ahhaha
Cliffs of dover

Did this myself, about 6 weeks after the game was released.
This is the first time I have been able to use my fingers since then.

This has got to be one of the most fun songs to play on a standard Dualshock 2
This was and always will be my favorite guitar hero song to play on expert
Bro i used to played this in inverted control because i can't do it with the original one, man i miss my childhood
2021 and still Awesome
I remember always saving star power for the segment around 2:16. Not because of score but because it just sounded so so good.

[Verse 1]
The basement scene is dark and dusty
The musty smell of stale air
Cobwebs dangle overhead
People stumble down the stairs
Let's get this party started, yo
The band are in the corner of the floor
Their songs are pretty kickass
We're dancing like we've never danced before
[Chorus]
The music is loud, the kids are so young
All over the world, they want to have fun
The music is so loud, it drowns out the talk
All over the world, just give us more rock
The music is loud, the night is so young
All over the world, we want to have fun
The music gets louder, please don't call the cops!
All over the world, we just want to rock
[Verse 2]
The kitchen scene is damp and sticky
They're lined up at the keg of PBR
We're yelling conversations
Through the floor you hear the keyboards and guitar
I'm getting kind of antsy
I just came up here to get some air
This isn't where the music's at
I guess I'm going back down there
[Chorus]
[Verse 3]
The basement scene is hot and sweaty
Bodies packed from wall to wall
The band are tearing through their set
The encore is the best of all
Let's keep this party going, yo
We've got nowhere else to be
Someone yells, "less talk more rokk"
Mostly unironically
[Chorus]
[Outro]
We just want to rock
We just want to rock
We just want to rock
We just want to rock
