The other members of "BlockB" signed contracts that have them doing solo careers or being in a sub-unit. That's the legal contract they signed. Trust me, as a BBC I was heartbroken when Zico left. But it happens. Groups grow apart and go off to do their own things. And as someone living in Korea, my friends confirmed and the news was pretty clear that they pretty much disbanded. Yes! Block B is awsome. They have a lot of bangers when I comes to songs: "Her", "Very Good", "Toy", "Jackpot" .This group technically is still active but they're kind of on hold at the moment while the members fulfill their military enlistment.

I had heard a few of block B's popular singles and thought okay they are interestingly different. Then I played their discography on Spotify and was like whoa. Banger after banger....so many good songs. You guys should def listen later these guys should get more recommendations.

Ive always loved Block Bs music! They were my very first Kpop concert back in 2015! It was right after their subunit Bastarz debuted so we heard all the songs live and Zico even performed Okey Dokey. It was such a good concert!

All members know how to compose music and a lot of their songs have been on their mini albums and albums. BLOCK B members are also successful solo artists and sub-units. So whether they’re doing their own thing or as a group, they always produce high quality music/MVs. I don’t like saying that BLOCK B is underrated cuz honestly... they’re quite popular back in the day and has successful sold out world tours. In SKOREA, they’re one of the well known groups and they do really well on music charts too. Anyways, some BLOCK B members have been serving their 2 years of military duty (including ZICO). So naturally, BLOCK B as a group is on hiatus until they all serve their military time. That’s why other BLOCK B members that are still active in the KPOP scene is doing solo activities for the time being until they have to enlist. There seems to be a confusion whether or not BLOCK B is together or not or if they disbanded. BLOCK B IS STILL AN ACTIVE GROUP, they’re just on hiatus because of the military. Obviously, ZICO left the group’s record label to open his own record company KOZ. But even ZICO said that HE’S STILL THE LEADER of BLOCK B and he will still help them produce/compose music for BLOCK B sub-units. Like I mentioned.. other members released solo music or is doing some acting in dramas. The other members as well has said that BLOCK B is still 7 and when they all are done with their military services, then they’ll get together and talk about how they want to proceed as BLOCK B.

They Did break up, though??? All 6 guys signed New contracts with Seven Seasons while Zico didn't and left. But those contracts were for solo or sub-unit careers. Not as a group. And Zico's own company got bought out by BigHit, so now he's under their label.

Zico before he left for the military said he has been talking with the members about when they should have a cb and decided to wait until everyone was finished with their military service. Even Kyung said Zico did not leave block b he just left the company. 9/10 they resigned for security until zico’s company was settled which as of now it is + with the help of BH they will most likely join KOZ after enlistment. (that's just a guess but for the most part they did not disband according to zico and the members)
You might notice their video production isn't crazy good or stuff like that. The reasons behind that are: their music videos are mostly older and they come from a really small and poor company (initially). They went through a lot of hardships to get where they are now, they were incredibly broke in the beginning and had many problems with their company at the time, yet they still made a big impact on the public and the kpop world in general. That's why i really respect them and their progress even tho their visuals don't blow me away like a music video from SM entertainment would.
I also highly recommend checking out Ohio by crush. That music video and song was brilliant and kinda beautiful. And Zion.t is another great artist to react to.
Also, they aren't underrated. They're actually one of the popular and well respected groups of their time (2nd - early 3rd gen) They're just a bit older and have been inactive due to personal solo schedules and military duties. They will come back in a year or two hopefully.

Block B deserves so much better than what they've been dealt. They've had terrible company after terrible company, even the one made specifically for them got bought and put them on the back burner while using the money they earned to fund a new boy group. I highly recommend Very Good, HER, Jackpot as well as their subunit Bastarz.

The company started as Seven Seasons and just for Block B, some years later, created KQ and became the mother of Seven Seasons. Since some years ago, SeSea doesnt exist anymore, but they didnt make it official (the YT channel changed to Block B, the web doesnt exist, in the new albums only KQ logo can be seen...), maybe hoping for fans being mad at SeSea and not them for the mismanagement (or basically, Zico having to do all the work, like he said in an interview "Being a CEO of my own company isnt difficult, since I had to do it all before") They are not afraid to speak up, so they always have thrown shade towards KQ about being a shitty company and probably that is why they didnt do much Vlives (an app for idols to make lives), since they probably where banned by KQ (like apparently one of the members told) to do more lives since they will always speak up and tell the thruth hahaha they even had to pay for their own solo stuff (Kyung has an MV that is FULL of sponsors since he didnt have the money to pay and the company wouldnt do it.) Soooo we, fans, really hate KQ and since Zico has now a company of his own, we are waiting for them to end their military service and finally sign a contract with him. Block B is very well known for their unique concepts and versatile/different self-composed songs. All members know how to compose music and a lot of their songs have been on their mini albums and albums. BLOCK B members are also successful solo artists and sub-units. So whether they’re doing their own thing or as a group, they always produce high quality music/MVs.
I don’t like saying that BLOCK B is underrated cuz honestly... they’re quite popular back in the day and has successful sold out world tours. In SKOREA, they’re one of the well known groups and they do really well on music charts too.
Anyways, some BLOCK B members have been serving their 2 years of military duty (including ZICO). So naturally, BLOCK B as a group is on hiatus until they all serve their military time. That’s why other BLOCK B members that are still active in the KPOP scene is doing solo activities for the time being until they have to enlist.
There seems to be a confusion whether or not BLOCK B is together or not or if they disbanded. BLOCK B IS STILL AN ACTIVE GROUP, they’re just on hiatus because of the military. Obviously, ZICO left the group’s record label to open his own record company KOZ. But even ZICO said that HE’S STILL THE LEADER of BLOCK B and he will still help them produce/compose music for BLOCK B sub-units. Like I mentioned.. other members released solo music or is doing some acting in dramas. The other members as well has said that BLOCK B is still 7 and when they all are done with their military services, then they’ll get together and talk about how they want to proceed as BLOCK B.

Block B is currently on hiatus since most of the members left their previous company and are serving in the military as well. (In Korea all men are required to serve in the military for 1 1/2 years)
Before they left they said they weren't breaking up so I'm guessing they will all cb at some point hopefully under Zico’s label.

All 6 guys signed New contracts with Seven Seasons while Zico didn't and left. But those contracts were for solo or sub-unit careers. Not as a group.
And Zico's own company got bought out by BigHit, so now he's under their label.

Zico before he left for the military said he has been talking with the members about when they should have a cb and decided to wait until everyone was finished with their military service. Even Kyung said Zico did not leave block b he just left the company. 9/10 they resigned for security until zico’s company was settled which as of now it is + with the help of BH they will most likely join KOZ after enlistment. (that's just a guess but for the most part they did not disband according to zico and the members)

You might notice their video production isn't crazy good or stuff like that. The reasons behind that are: their music videos are mostly older and they come from a really small and poor company (initially). They went through a lot of hardships to get where they are now, they were incredibly broke in the beginning and had many problems with their company at the time, yet they still made a big impact on the public and the kpop world in general. That's why i really respect them and their progress even tho their visuals don't blow me away like a music video from SM entertainment would.

They've had terrible company after terrible company, even the one made specifically for them got bought and put them on the back burner while using the money they earned to fund a new boy group. For all the confused people and other spreading misinformation in these conments, Zico is still in the group even if he has his own company. They have said it since the beginning, (you can watch the video of Zico where he searches himself on the internet and will get the answer for him. He looks so confused about wh there are articles saying that he left Block B.) that he hasnt left and even in official posts, you can see always Zico represented in Block B (the other day they uploaded a drawing of the seven members).
And snce I always see a lot of people still confused with their company...
They are from KQ (where ATEEZ is). The company started as Seven Seasons and just for Block B, some years later, created KQ and became the mother of Seven Seasons. Since some years ago, SeSea doesnt exist anymore, but they didnt make it official (the YT channel changed to Block B, the web doesnt exist, in the new albums only KQ logo can be seen...), maybe hoping for fans being mad at SeSea and not them for the mismanagement (or basically, Zico having to do all the work, like he said in an interview "Being a CEO of my own company isnt difficult, since I had to do it all before")
They are not afraid to speak up, so they always have thrown shade towards KQ about being a shitty company and probably that is why they didnt do much Vlives (an app for idols to make lives), since they probably where banned by KQ (like apparently one of the members told) to do more lives since they will always speak up and tell the thruth hahaha they even had to pay for their own solo stuff (Kyung has an MV that is FULL of sponsors since he didnt have the money to pay and the company wouldnt do it.)
Soooo we, fans, really hate KQ and since Zico has now a company of his own, we are waiting for them to end their military service and finally sign a contract with him. They kinda hinted a couple of years ago that they would wait for Zico to be well stablished in his company, sooo let's see.
