Like Salo said, I was a performing arts supervisor this year, and a drama counsellor the year before! I would say make a list of what you want out of a camp and what are non negotiables for you. But go off of the vibes and where you can see yourself the most and which camps values you align with
@@MillieElizabeth what experiences and skills do you need to be a drama counsellor? Because I want to do that too, but I am not sure whether it's enough to have played theater for several years in highschool.
Hey, just wondering, if its your first time at camp is being a general camp counsellor most suitable? I was thinking of doing participating in being a Hiking counsellor but I dont have experience doing hikes in large groups only with smaller groups of friends and family. Thanks!
You’d defo smash being a hiking counsellor from the sounds of it!! There’s pros and cons to each role but ultimately I think find the right place for you, ask questions get to know exactly what your role would involve and go with your gut feeling! There’s no need to have loads of childcare or teaching experience to be a specialist counsellor though. I had absolutely no experience working with kids and like to think I did seemingly okay Baha

100%%%!! Painting nails was always a thing being done during free time with the campers
