Our teacher said to get under our tables (it’s primary school so we sit in tables of 4). We were told to put our bags around the desk and put our phones in our pockets. I remember quickly texting my mum and telling her we were in lockdown and then (don’t judge me I’m weird) I forwarded my message onto all my group chats. I know I’m a dumb kid. I knew it was a bad idea straight away because my friends and relatives (I had friends from other schools because I went to 3 primary schools) kept texting me and asking what happened and blah blah blah. Our teacher got a text from the headteacher saying there were 2 shooters in the school near the computing suite. The computing suite it opposite another door that leads to our cloakroom, which is attached to our classroom. The teacher remembered this and told us what the headteacher said. The headteacher then messaged back saying it was safe to evacuate from the fire exit door at the back of our classroom as the schools front gates were open. The teacher sent 5 of us out at a time with the teaching assistant, who would take the group to a police officer, who would then take the group out the front gates and to a police van. As my group went last, we were all pretty scared. Our teacher went out with us as were were last and as we were leaving I saw one of the shooters in our cloakroom, searching through coat pockets. Weird. Buuuuut we all got put safe no one died (I scratched my arm on a nettle?) and it was kinda fun. -all content is 100% factual cuz what’s the point of sitting somewhere for 10 minutes trying to think of a good story to get what like, 4 likes?-
