Here Gene Fracis was getting better and better, sharper as an actress, I think she was motivated and sense tht the story was going to get real good, real fast, Kin Shriners great here as well.
Yes, I think that is why I stay addicted to the old days because of the whole family dynamic. Although, I have enjoyed re-watching Jonathan Jackson on this marathon he is just an incredible, gifted actor. Missing Lucky and Alan on current day GH.
Did Amy do something to her face between this time and the mid 80s? Something looks very different...she was really gorgeous here and kind of strange looking later on...
Laura looked so good, youth and then coke was keeping her slim in those days lol. The coke was unfortunately her downfall for a while even though some of her greatest scenes were done on it. Genie she admitted that during the wedding to Luke... she was coked up LOL.
Cocaine was huge onset back in those days! I heard it might’ve even been encouraged. Kin Shriner talks freely about it and Leslie Charleson even acknowledged it! Maurice Bernard asked Tristen Rogers about it on his show “State of Mind” recently and Tristan totally avoided it!
@@GHRickLesley Very interesting that Tristan avoided the topic. I never got the sense that he or Finola used but you can never tell LOL... I'd have never guessed Laura used either.
Some of this is difficult for me to watch. In some ways, Scotty was spot on... Laura got her freedom and she got raped. What if she hadn't been in love with Luke? Then it just would have been some creep manager who raped her. It just reminds me of my husband and his severe restrictions over my life and some of the things that have happened to me since divorce and getting my freedom. Rape included. There are two sides to every coin. Scott and Laura were both right in their own ways.
How ironic it would become that Laura, of all people, warns Amy off of Luke.

Rick was looking quite hot in those jeans & the causal-ness of the shirt (no tie, no suit jacket) 👍🏻
Alan and Monica was my favorite couple on general hospital 🏥
