There was such nuance to the show back then... subtle relatable interactions amongst the cast!!! Brilliant!!! Gloria Monty was a masterful Executive Producer!!
Yes, it wasn't just a soapy soap....it was pretty clever. Watching these old episodes is like seeing old friends. I didn't realize how much I miss them. So funny that 40 years later I know who everyone is.
Thank you so much Caren you just spoke volumes. No really you did. You my girl put it right into the center of GH and PC. All the people who have lived there for many a years. Also others who may have just moved there. All in all ..hell if I knew where PC was I move there too. ...but we all know its a TV soap opera ..so well I guess just wishful thinking on my part??? Hay maybe a real sweet day dream. Yeah ,yeah just maybe?? JMVHO! THANKS PC I'll see you in my dreams. Peace & Love Rosie💤💙💚👍🙏
I adored Joe Kelly. I've always thought it would have been nice to bring back Doug Sheehan as Joe, as well as LoAnne Bishop as Rose. They were both really relatable characters. I've always envisioned Joe coming back and being Chief of PCPD and cleaning up all this mob stuff for Paddy. His desk would have a pic of Paddy on it. Then, maybe, they could have storylines with a little more human interest and meat to them.
I can't believe how young ( relatively) Dan looked here. It's freaking me out. He seemed so much older later on in the 80's. He was already in his early 60's here.
I had a huge crush on "Joe Kelly" in the 1980s. My alma mater, Holyoke Community College is the site of the former Sheehan farm. I don't know if they were related. Massachusetts.
Yeah definitely you see how different things were then. But things are changing and that’s good. But goddamn I want Luke and Laura together where they effing belong, happily ever after like he said 😩💔

Takes me right back to high school and rushing home to watch.
Great memories and great storyline and great writing
GREAT EPISODE .....AND ......THANK YOU....for these memories......and....GREAT COMMENTS.....
The scene between Joe & Bobbie was superb.
Me too. I watched heavily during this time. It was summer, my Great granny watched me.
I remember watching this live. Wow, a looooong time ago.

Betsy Keller I agree!
Yes that would be great. Joe has great hair too!
Great idea ! I don't believe Joe has been on the show for decades !
Doug Sheehan gets bigger parts and works often.
I LOVE JOE KELLY!!!!!
his eyes are gorgeous
Poor Bobbie. Hopefully a hot Australian rock star will check in to practice medicine at GH
I love this show

Me too! Some lucky lady should have scooped him up. He was always so down to earth and yet so unlucky in love.
Some lucky lady did.... Valeen on Knots Landing!
@@justlina2769 She never really loved him though.
Beautiful Jackie Zeman! 💗😇
Alan was so robotic & sinister even though seemed to be overacting at this point. He aged into that sinister role really well.
Bobby was/is so beautiful.
Was😂😂😂😂😂😆😆😆😆🔥
Tony was having trouble with his back in the early days too?
Tony Perelli?? Early days? How long was he on the show for?
Oh you meant Tony Geary LOL
@@aamanpour3630yeah… Tony Geary. It’s like he’s having a problem in real time here.

May he RIP!
Blast from the past Steve Audrey Jeff. Good to see them. Prb7155
Love th show.. always did notice they had no black nurses,no black doctors and only 2 black actors!!..
#1 show in America!!
I think they still related to black audiences... very hip show for the 70’s/80’s ...
Geez really🙄
