    It definitely gets the water moving around, I think it would be a little better suited for a larger tank but I guess it all depends on what type of fish you have, nice in detail video on this wavemaker.

      I think it's pretty cool.. maybe too strong for this tank but would be good in a 100 gallon tank

    The fish look like they are loving it Chris, I swear by wavemakers especially for fish that enjoy the current. The African cichlids enjoy good current, it's also a distracting factor for aggression.

    Many think that movement pumps can only be used in marine reef aquariums, but they are also very important in certain freshwater biotopes to recreate currents and water flows for many fish.
    The magnet system is the one I prefer to arrange and move the pump easily, then you could also equip the pumps with a timer to make them work alternately or decide on a scheduled or unscheduled interruption.
    Great products and explanations Chris.

    Great Unboxing Chris! That sure is a very powerful wavemaker mate, so small but so effective mate, glad all your fish are enjoying the strong current. I know what you mean about the magnets lol. I have the Hygger double headed wavemaker for my marine tank and it took me ages to get them apart lol. Alot of people dont think about having them in freshwater tanks , but I'm sure this video will change there minds.Thanks for sharing mate 😊

    I think wave makers are good for "some" tanks, but it wouldn't work like in my 55g freshwater angelfish tank. They like slow water. My praecox rainbows might like it, but I think it's better to not push around the angelfish

    • @stubbsaquatics6080
      @stubbsaquatics6080  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much my friend. Yeah I'd really like wave makers now. Yeah I would be a bit strong for angels that's for sure. But with these barbs, they're okay with that current wish. It was not quite as strong. Might have to move it to it a little bit bigger tank but I'd like the movement and the plants. The fish seem to like it

    • @FishRfun
      @FishRfun ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @stubbsaquatics6080 oh yeah for the right fish they're the bomb...you should get a big school of Celestichthys Choprae (glolight danio). They love string current and a big school looks amazing

      @stubbsaquatics6080  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FishRfun thought about getting some tetras but their heat requirement I think is beyond what I want to have in my fish room. My fish room usually doesn't exceed 72 to 73

    • @FishRfun
      @FishRfun ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @stubbsaquatics6080 oh wow interesting. I'm a little concerned about them temp of my water for the gold laser corys I ordered. Mine is on the warm side. Around 79. I keep it higher to keep diseases down, but I use a uv sterilizer to cut down on diseases so that helps a lot. I guess I should lower the temp a bit and acclimate longer and slowly add in rank water

      @@stubbsaquatics6080 If they're the same plant species, then there could be stuff like Ammonia that could be causing it, but at this point it's hard to tell. If the plants are new, they could just be melting back any emersed growth. New submerged growth might show up if that's the case
