Hi Boomer And thanks so much for watching The aquarium is 125 gallons. The fish can grow up to 10-12 inches and can live 10-15 years of age . They need good filtration as the produce a lot of waist Does that help

Yes they can survive a Ottawa winter as it's very similar to ours. 4 feet deep is good for shubunkin goldfish to over winter. The deeper the better Thanks so much for watching. If I can help in any way let me know

@@canadianbeefeater1672 well my fellow Canadian two will be fine in a 55 gallon with good filtration. They should still get up to 8-10 inches over time. They won't get huge in that.. so you don't have to put in a pool I did make an indoor pond for them this year 🤣👍🇨🇦

@stubbsaquatics6080 ok, ya I have a all natural tank. Real mud base and capped with river sand. I have real plants, nothing fake in this tank. Its become it own ecosystem and I never have to add any chemicals ever. Very happy I went this way of a set up and its such a more joyful hobby now. Fatherfish on youtube is where I learned this type of set up and I wish everyone to consider it. Chrystal clear water, filter stays clean and fish are happy.

@canadianbeefeater1672 I follow him and pattys Aquatics.. dirted tanks. Hopefully your goldfish won't eat your plants. Depending on what type as they will eat them especially when they get bigger . Just you know. I have live plants in with all my goldfish now but a lot are terrestrial with just the roots being in the water

@stubbsaquatics6080 my plants have to be cut every month or so they grow so fast. Maybe if I can keep these 2 bellies full they will not eat as much of my plants....Lol
