Almost all of these ultimates besides orisas can be just as easily stopped with any stun, if not more easily. For half of them, you need almost perfect timing or even starting the hack before they use it to actually cancel the ultimate without a counter ultimate, and the game makes it fairly obvious when you're being hacked.

yesterday i joined an already started match, saw that the enemy had a rein, i picked sombra, went to my team and saw the enemy rein there, literally only 10s into the game and perfectly timed the rein's shatter with my hack, i had no clue about his ult charge, i wasn't trying to shutdown his ult, i just wanted to hack him but that happened, i even apologized in the chat bc he got instantly deleted in less than 2s after that where he could've easily got a quadra, i felt so bad lmao i switched to cassidy after that

I noticed that the more “seasoned” hero’s say damn after their ultra are cancelled. And when I say “seasoned” I mean they’ve killed or they have a lot of battle experience
Some tips: - For some of these ultimates, the time window in which you can cancel the ult is VERY small. Mostly, it has to be during the very start of the "cast line" or voice line that play before ulting. - This mostly applies for Hanzo, Mei, Kiriko and Junkrat.
A lot of those hacks rely on her hacking in the .5 seconds it takes to get their ult off like rein and others. Some like Moira and sigmas are really easy to interrupt
Imagine making a game that revolves around abilities and ultimates. Now imagine there’s a character that can not only nullify any ability/ult, but can also do it invis, can teleport away and can hack someone invis and have a damage buff from the hack… 😑 sombra is so fun to play against.. and don’t even get me started if you’re fighting a sombra as a tank 😭
for a few of them you need to start hacking brfore they press ult, look out for hanzos dashing backwards, or kiris lining up for ult and then hack before they start casting so the end of your hack happens mid way through their animation
