I’m from Jigawa state, no single Fulani is an indigene of Jigawa state. Fulani just crossed the free border and entered into our forests to settle mostly in the darkness of night. You can see how the governor struggle to hide some truth, mentioning his fellow Hausas as mere farmers only.
Nigerian state has the right to ban open grazing to modernize its dairy and meat production like a business. Talking of injustice, who did injustice to who? Is it a farmer that sweat to grow food on his farm to feed his family that’s doing injustice to monsters who cannot feed the cattle they sell to earn money?

@@kingsleyoffor6752 All our governors are Hausas apart from sule lamido who became governor accidentally. It was NOT like he’s had any chance or Fulani are any significant in Jigawa state. If you remember obasanjo tenure well, you will recall how he used EFCC to witch-hunt opposition politicians to get them decamp to pdp. In 2006, saminu turaki’s tenure was to end the following year 2007, EFCC sent a threatening report about a pending investigation on the state finance if he stepped down. Remember also those years PDP is not any popular in the north, in fact apart from kaduna state, I can’t remember any other state in the far north with PDP governor. The only option Saminu Turaki had that time was to decamp to PDP from APP to be safe. Already lamido was the top contender in that unpopular party which you know at that point saminu would have no say who will be the flag bearer in the party he was about to decamp to to evade investigation. Sule Lamido was a governor by accident.

I do not see the reasons why the Northern region is always against any decisions that are geared towards the future development of Nigeria. Why is the Northern region against restructuring? Why do the regions be forced to be in a union that is not beneficiary to the sections of the people in this country? Time to talk is now, and if nothing is done, Southwest should start to wean herself from this wicked trap from our Northern counterpart.

The Fulani came to Nigeria in 1804, as long as the Hausas and other tribes were living in those parts before they came conquering the people they can never be an indigenous people. The white and black Americans are till date still not considered as indigenous people of America, the American Indians are the ones still considered as the indigenous people. Likewise in Australia, the white settlers are still not considered as indigenous people, but the black aboriginals who they conquered are still the only ones considered as native or indigenous people of Australia. So with this few examples you can see why the Fulani can never be an indigenous people as they are not native to the land. They are native to the Sahel or Fulta Jallon region.

@@Tellzel107 I would say that kind of thinking does not apply in the North. People may say that but they have learnt to accept living side by side with the Fulanis.
What the Hausa's don't want and many people in Jigawa told me this is conflict. Same religion but different characters. I was told when you hurt a Fulani they never forget because they pass the hurt for generations. This is why those native farmers that the governor spoke about would rather chose to be poor or find other means of living than fight Fulanis for destroyibg their farms.

@@samchs222 The Hausas have being totally subdued to the point of lacking the will to stand for themselves for fear of reprisal attack, this should not be in this day and age because the aim of the Fulani is to annihilate the people of Nigeria for a Fulani nation which I doubt will be possible, but they will make do with the North instead of losing all, hence they are promoting the narrative of them being indigenous to the Northern Nigeria and the people who do not know the history are running with it. I am a Nigerian but we left Nigeria during Babangida rule.
