- While vacation is a time to kick back and relax, those who disregard certain rules could be banned from cruising again.
Not only does following the rules ensure you have the opportunity to create more memories at sea, but it also helps foster a positive onboard environment. You don't want to be the subject of multiple news articles for a foolish decision, either, though it would be a memorable topic to bring up at your holiday gatherings!
From theft to engaging in dangerous behavior, here are 9 reasons guests have been banned from cruising.

In the "Old Days" they used to throw confetti overboard at sailaway. Just watch any episode of Love Boat. People used to enjoy smoking cigars on their balcony.
How things have changed, eh?
Great advice! ❤
Another reason not mentioned here is advertising independent shore excursions either onboard the ship or even via social media. I knew of a couple who wanted to do a small group independent shore excursion not part of the Cruise Line’s offerings. They needed to find two more people to obtain the four person minimum and they found the two that they needed not realizing that they were undercover monitors of the Facebook page. They turned the advertisers in and they were kicked off the cruise. As to any banishment, I cannot confirm that but DO NOT advertise any independent group excursions onboard or even via social media as that is technically considered theft from the Cruise Line.
Interesting and good to know!!
