I actually re-used these chords from another track I wrote, 'The Sky Are Sick', because I had to hear them in a dance music context. Glad you dig it. :)
I fell in love with microtonal music, and now you and your music is my favourite cure of this feeling. Musical part of my brain and body say thanks, keep up da GOOD WORK !!!
Antares03 There were some mishaps that I wasn't able to correct. Nothing that's easy to notice, mind you. I'm always trying to improve my craft, but I'm still really happy with how this EP came out.
3:35 I really felt something I've never experienced, something entirely new. I love this music. The section at 3:35 felt almost like a siren's song, like I was being pulled in by it but in a really weird way that I've never experienced. Great piece!
Just found your channel 25 minutes ago. Whoa... After experiencing this track for the first time 10 minutes ago; having to have happened to take in it's incredible listen using subwoofing headphones with a fairly new audiophile gradient computer soundcard - I have just spent the last 8 or 9 minutes frozen and completely stunned gazing half into the screen half into nothing - heart pounding as if I had escaped certain death by an inch. Wow, HOLY! Yeah: HOLY SHIT I've found your music! This shit lights up my brain like nothing else and I wasn't even really looking for it today - I've always thought that I'd like to hear something like this though always kinda doubted it existed yet. Thank you for making it! This is definitely one of the most awesome dance compositions I've ever heard (and I hope that might be saying a bit as I consider myself a mean fucking crate digger). I love the more elaborate, soulful, atmospheric and intelligent styles of electronic dance music, much of which for some reason there seems to not be a lot of it around anymore. Plus a spring debut is phenominally well timed for this upload, I will be showing crowds of dance/experimental music enthusiast pals your channel.
+borntobone Plus I am a (extra curricular) DJ/Experimental musician and love to fuse the two in remix. Please I encourage you to message me about acceptance to construct a re-work or vocal mix (not that it is in anyway calling for one honestly). I would only try to give it immense justice, and would never ever go ahead and release/perform it without your greenlight. Yes, this is certainly an inquiry for the unmixed version. No rush and no expectations or pressure, you are fantastic! - Reiki-Z (Ozazoroxis Zataraxozos)
+borntobone Dude, thanks a lot for your enthusiasm. It's great to hear that my music is being enjoyed by likeminded folks. This EP almost wasn't an EP - my hard drive crashed and I realised I didn't back up the original session files. When I got to work the next day, I was relieved that I had at least backed up the master there! If you want to make another version of this track then feel free but there are no stems so you'll have to work it out by ear... As for the "unmixed" version, this has drums at the end so you can mix it into another tune in a DJ set. I can upload it and PM you a copy if you like.
+sevishmusic Thanks so much for your reply, super sorry to hear about the crash and the losing of original session data, I've had to bite that belt myself; when these things happen it can sometimes really hurt! But happy to hear you were relieved of major stress upon discovery that the master was backed up; what a good counter-feeling it must have been. Absolutely though; if you find amusement in my presented notion that I would love to challenge upon myself an MK SUPERDUPER reworking using a quality copy of it; to render a unique re-imagining; then a PM to me with a link(s) containing all you'd deem I'd need (original sound quality) would be rad. Thanks again, huge honour to actually get to talk to you (even through youtube) - and perhaps even gain permission to rework material of yours or use in live set. Only the best. -Reiki-Z/OZ
+borntobone Maybe I'm being stupid but I couldn't figure out how to PM you here on youtube? Let me know how I can send you a link... And when you finish your debut recording let me know, I'd be interested to check it out. :)
+sevishmusic I can't figure it out either. What I'll do (and I don't exactly like to) is very temporarily drop my (outside of youtube) personal contact info in your channel discussion area where I will be removing it upon your messaging to me. I appreciate everything man, I'm totally stoked as this will be awesome.
A very other worldly music experience . . In my dialed in/ treated ATMOS HT, 5.5.4, When upmixed into DSU, the room is ALIVE the bass solid , clear deep, and by my set-up, TONS of TR thru my seating from NF subs As a Hearts of Space fan, going to add this genre to my spotify list
I have listened to this too much. I love the fast paced ones but Idk how but this has emotion to it. Maybe the jumps help but stuff like this has really made me want to study music theory.
+Samuel Shock Thanks! Btw I'm not sure about Undertale. Is it the game? Somebody recommended that to me recently, but I haven't got round to looking into it.
This has been one of my favorites by you since the day it was first uploaded, and to this day, it's still truly incredible. Timeless, dare I say. You've been one of my favorite musicians after the last few years, and I have my younger brother to thank for introducing me to your music and the Microtonal system as a whole. He's not even 22 yet, and it's always a been a pleasure hearing and seeing what new thing he shows me next. Glad to see you're still going, Sevish. Keep being amazing, and as soon I as I get the chance, you are definitely one of the first creators I'll be supporting.
Ok....I’ve found the score of life my brain like best. I’m at a loss for words. There is simulation magick here. I’m going to manifest a sci-fi horror film for Sevish to score..my horror film of course
This is amazing! One of the best microtonal tracks I've yet heard. One question; how do you go about composing this kind of music? I would like to try it myself, but I'm not sure where to start.
+Peter-Andre' Pliassov hey thanks for checking out my sounds! I wrote about my tools and setup here, hope it helps you to start experimenting for yourself: sevish.com/2016/microtonal-music-ableton-live-scala/
I have no idea if this is proper use of the 22-EDO system, but it sure sounds cool. :) Did you have to learn any new music theory or did you just figure the system out by ear?
@@Sevish Cool. I like everything from pitch-corrected pop/rock music to sloppy punk to arabic music with quarter tones, so my sense of what pitches are "right" is somewhat liberal. :P

I've found with my art sometimes a piece can be overworked in seeking perfection - this is really good as is :)

yo your music is based as fuck, and i just downloaded your .tun files pack for serum. thanks for all you do to make microtonal music accessible :)
That riff at the beginning sounds familiar. Isn't that the same one as the one from "Guano Sequence"?
They're not the same riff, guess they feel kinda similar though. I never noticed that before. :)
Yeah
I have no idea if this is proper use of the 22-EDO system, but it sure sounds cool. :)
