There is no mention of word NAMAZ used in Quran, instead it is SALAAT. Let me quote the Hadith mentioned in Bukhari as well Muslim about the gift of 50 times Salat by Allah, then reducing it to 5 times. One can imagine that Allah and Rasul knew not but Moses knew that Ummah of Prophet Muhammad can not take burden of 50 Salats a day. Other point is if 50 times were imposed means Muslims had to offer only Salats all day and do nothing for earning food or do any other work. Many times Rasul Allah went in Darbar of Allha requesting to decrease number of Salats. This is the Hadith narrated in Bukhari:
پہلی بات تو یہ ہے کہ دونوں ائمۂ طاہرین کے مبارک فرامین اور قرآن کریم تینوں ٹھیک ہیں، یہاں ایک ہی حقیقت کی تین مثالیں ہیں، آپ کو ان میں تضاد اس لئے لگ رہا ہے کہ آپ نے ان کو حقیقت میں لیا ہے، ان تینوں مثالوں کے پس منظر میں حقیقت ایک ہی ہے، جب آپ پر اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کی رحمت ہوئی تو ان شاءاللہ ضرور ان تینوں مثالوں کی ایک ہی حقیقت نظر آئے گی۔ دوسری بات یہ ہے کہ خود قرآن کریم میں انسانی تخلیق کے مختلف بیانات آئے ہیں: 1۔ سورۃ الرحمن آیت 14 میں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ صَلۡصَالٍ كَالۡفَخَّارِۙ۔ انسان کو کھنکھناتی ہوئی مٹی سے پیدا کیا۔ 2۔ سورۂ دہر آیت نمبر2 میں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ اِنَّا خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ نُّطۡفَةٍ اَمۡشَاجٍۖ۔ ہم انسان کو نطفۂ مخلوط سے پیدا کیا۔ 3۔ سورۃ المؤمنون آیت نمبر 12 تا 14 میں اللہ تعالیٰ ماں کے پیٹ میں سات مراحل سے گزار کر انسان کو پیدا کرنے کا ذکر فرماتا ہے۔ 4۔ علمائے اسلام کے مطابق حضرت آدم کو مٹی سے، حضرت عیسیٰ کو صرف ماں سے اور ہمیں ماں اور باپ دونوں سے پیدا کرنے کی تعلیم دی جاتی ہے جبکہ قرآن کریم کا واضح فرمان ہے کہ فطۡرَتَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِىۡ فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيۡهَا ؕ لَا تَبۡدِيۡلَ لِخَـلۡقِ اللّٰهِ۔ ترجمہ: اللّٰہ کی فطرت وہی ہے جس پر اس نے لوگوں کو پیدا کیا، اور اللہ کی اس طریق تخلیق میں کوئی تبدیلی نہیں آتی ہے۔ یعنی اللہ اس آیت میں ایک طریقے سے سب کی تخلیق کرنے کا ذکر فرماتا ہے؟ اس بارے میں آپ کا کیا خیال ہے جناب محترم؟؟

Question:- What is Du'a? 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 Explicit injunction for three times prayer is given in the Koran in several verses, which are mentioned here under:- “Wa aqimi salwata tarfai nahar’e wa zualfan mina l-layl” -(Qur'an: Surah:11: Verse:114) “And establish salat at the both ends of the day (morning and evening) and at the approach of the night” The word tarf means an end, extremity or part, and Atrafa l-Nahr means two ends of the day refers to the morning and evening, or the fajr and maghrib, while zualfan mina l-layl means a short while after falling of night. Shibli Noman 1857-1914) also admits in his Sirat al-Nabawi (2:112) that this verse contains an injunction of three times prayer. “Wa aqimisalwata li- duluki i-shamsi ila gasqi l- layl wa quranul fajar’e” (17:78) “And establish salat at the sun’s decline till the darkness of the night and in the morning.” The word duluki i-shams means sunset refers to the salat of magrib. The word gasqi l- layl means the darkness of the night, refers to the salat of isha, and fajr obviously the salat of morning. Ibn Umar relates that the Prophet said that duluki i-shams means sinking of the sun, vide al-Itqan (2: 631-2) by Suyuti. Tirmizi and Nisai also admit veracity of this tradition related by Abu Huraira. Referring the above Koranic verses, Reuben Levy writes in The Social Structure of Islam (London, 1962, p. 155) that: “It would appear from these verses that only three appointed times of worship are indicated….For a century or more after the death of the Prophet, it was not definitely known, or decided, actually how many periods of worship were laid down nor at what hours worship was to be performed.” It was a period when no timepiece device existed, therefore, the above three salats were used to be performed on the following method:- SALAT AL-FAJR (Subah Sadik Du'aa) Also called salat al-subh. When any person could perceive his neighbour at near distance in darkness at dawn. -(Bukhari, muwakit, p. 21). Its time begins with “the true dawn” (al-fajr al-sadik) when the faces can still not yet be recognized,and extends until the daybreak as such before the sun appears. It should be noted that the Arabs designated the early morning as the dhanab al-sirhan (the tail of the wolf), and this is when the light gradually begins to get brighter at the place where the suns is about to rise like the light of a lamp. *SALAT AL-MAGHRIB*. (Sanji Du'aa) It was offered and ended when an arrow was shot from a bow and could be seen at sunset ((Ibid., p. 27). Its time begins when the sun disappears beneath the horizon, and normally continues until disappearance of the twilight radiance. SALAT AL-ISHA (Somani Du'aa) Also called salat al-atama (salat of black night), and salat al-layl (night prayer). When the people felt need of burning lamp in early night. (Ibid. p. 24). Its time begins soon after the disappearance of the twilight and extends until the end of the first third of the night. According to The Encyclopaedia of Islam (1995, 8:926): “In the Koran as a whole, the times of prayers are indicated with a richness of vocabulary which shows a practice still at the evolutionary state. There are, it seems, three essential times, to which the median prayer is added somewhat later.” W. Montgomery Watt writes in Muhammad in Medina (London, 1956, p. 305) that: “When the worship was stabilized by the later jurists, it became obligatory for every Muslim to perform it five times daily. It is doubtful, however, whether the five daily hours were regularly observed even during Muhammad’s closing years, and a phrase in the Quran shows that there must have been at least three hours of prayer daily.” In view of The Encyclopaedia of Religion and Ethics (London, 1956,10:197), “Some of the earliest verses of the Quran require Muslims to perform the salat thrice every day in the morning before sunrise, at the close of day, and during a part of the night.” “And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening, and adore Him during part of the night, and give glory to Him through the long night.” (36:25-26) Above verse further boost to explicit evidence of three times prayer as well as the midnight worship in a day. This Islamic practice in fact is being performed by the Shi’ite Ismaili Muslims. In Mecca, the Muslims had no mosque or proper place to offer prayers due to the oppression of the pagan Arabs. During the period of 13 years in Mecca, the Muslim offered their prayers in fajr, maghrib and Isha. There is no indication of five times prayers in Meccan period. According to Marshall G.S. Hodgson in The Venture of Islam (London, 1974, 1:179): “The bowings and prostrations of formal worship, the salat, were commonly done at least three times a day in unison, normally at the prayer ground at the Prophet’s home.” Later, the theologians debated on it, but found no explicit indication. Comment:- (2) Critical analysis of the Hadith-i Miraj Anas bin Malik is alleged to have related that when the Prophet returned from the seventh heaven, Moses asked him at the first heaven, what he had brought for his ummah. The Prophet said that he brought an ordinance of 50 times prayers. Moses told that prayer was a weighty matter and his ummah was weak, so go back to God and ask Him to reduce the number of prayers. The Prophet returned to the seventh heaven and God reduced the number by half. The Prophet returned and Moses once again persuaded him that it was still intolerable for the ummah. Back with God, the Prophet succeeded in reducing the number of salat to five a day. Moses told that it was still too heavy burden for the ummah, which needed further reduction. The Prophet did not agree with it, and said, “I feel ashamed to go again in the Holy Presence. I am now satisfied with it. The God told me that He made no changes in His injunction.” The weakness of this hadithis examined as under:- The event of Miraj took place in Mecca. Due to the oppression of the pagan Meccans, the Muslims could not offer prayers publicly. No salat, fast or haj were ordained since the situation was absolutely not in their favour. Nevertheless, the Muslims offered salat secretly in a simple mode at homes or caves. Under the hostile milieu, a heavy injunction of 50 times prayer in Mecca seems quite improbable. Was God not aware that the Muslims were hardly praying three times in Mecca due to hostile atmosphere, so how they could offer fifty times? It is a great pity that the order of five times prayer was not revealed through divine revelation, while other injunctions were come down through usual revelations. Granted that the mode of injunction is reliable, then it suggests that the Prophet was quite unknown either his ummah would bear it or not. It is curious that only Moses is made first in the hadith to perceive the distress of the ummah of the Prophet of Islam. The Prophet ascended to the seventh heaven more than once, and made reduction of salat from 50 to 5, and did not feel ashamed on each turn! Why did he feel so on third turn? It further deserves notice that God commanded salat for 50 times, and then made alterations two times in His injunction. Then, why He said that He never made changes in His injunction? It seems that the person who fabricated above hadith had a plan in mind to bring the figure of salat at five and not less. It was a time when the jurists needed a tradition to justify five times prayer, therefore, none of them cared in its authenticity. The sudden emergence of above tradition however met their requirement, but forgot its weak notion. The designer was a Jew, who intended to show that Moses advised the Prophet of Islam about the future grievance of the Muslims, which was unknown to him. Dr. Ghulam Jilani Burk remarks on the above hadith in his Du Islam (Lahore, 1981, p. 234) that, “To sum up the legend, the grievance of the ummah was not known to God and the Prophet. If Moses had not played an intermediary role, the injunction of 50 times prayer had been ordained for the ummah. And the ummah would offer prayers constantly from morning to evening. Neither they can eat nor attend to their necessity of life. It would have force the people to forsake Islam and follow other path. The foresight of Moses should be applauded who saved the Islam.” According to Qurani Faisal’e (Karachi, 1953, pp. 16-18), “God ordained 50 times prayer, and the Prophet returned with the order. Neither God realized in His order of impossible performance, nor the Prophet, how his people would bear its burden. And if it had been realized, it was only Moses……We only request to think with cool minds, what the non-Muslims had imagined for our God and Prophet when they went through the story. It clearly infers from this tradition that it must have been fabricated by a Jew, so that the superiority of Moses be elucidated and the Muslims be informed the status of Moses before the Prophet.” The Muslim scholars however express great doubts as to the historical character of the above hadith, nevertheless, it is produced as a reliable source, for the Koran is silent for it G.E. Von Grunebaum writes in Classical Islam (London,1970, p. 47): “….though in Muhammad’s lifetime the requirement of five sessions daily was not yet laid down. The Koran prescribes only two or three, and raising the number to five is probably the result of Jewish influence.” Mohammad Jafar Shah Phulwari writes in Islam din’i A’san (Lahore, 1955, p. 296) that, “Koran does not describe in explicit words that the prayers are five. In some other sound traditions the evidence of less than five prayers is accessible. اسماعیلی اپنے پیر شاہ شمس ملتانی اور اُنکی اولاد پیر صدرالدین و حسن کبیرالدین و سید امام شاہ وغیرہ کے کلاموں/گنانوں کے تحت اپنے امام کے حکم کو اللّٰه کا حکم مان کر چلتے ہیں۔ یاد رہے کہ یہ بریلیویوں صوفیوں کا سب سے پہلا گروپ ہے اور بانی پیر کا گروپ ہے۔ یہ کلام پندھروی صدی میں لکھے گئے تھے۔ بخآری و مسلم انکی کتاب نہیں جو اُسکے تحت بتائے گئے رسول کے تمام فرمان کو صحیح مانیں۔ انکے پیروں کے کلام میں یہ صاف لکھا ہے کہ معراج پر جب رسول گئے تو حکم ملا کہ بی بی فاطمیٰ کی شادی علی سے کرنا اور جہز میں چار خوجے (غلام) دینا جو اہل بیت امام کے حکم کو اللّٰه کا حکم مان کر چلیں گے۔ یہ وہی اسماعیلی خواجہ ہیں جنہیں یہ خطاب اور ذمہ داری انکے پیر صدرالدین سبزواری نے دی ہے۔ سنی کیلئے اُنکے بابوں بخآری مسلم داؤد ترمذی مشکوۃ کی کتاب حتمی ہے لیکن انکے لئے حدیث وہی ہے جو انکے چودھویں صدی کے پیروں نے بتائی ہے۔ اگر امام کا فرمان انکے پیروں کے قدیم گنانون سے ٹکڑاتا ہے تب انہیں امامت کی طرف سے اجازت دی جاتی ہے کہ چاہے تو مانو ورنہ نہ مانو۔ انکی وفا دینِ محمد سے یہ ہے کہ یہ اپنے بابوں کا دین ساری دنیا پر تھوپنے کی کوشش نہیں کرتے ورنہ انکے پیروں نے تو یہاں تک لکھ دیا ہے کہ صرف اسماعیلی خوجہ دین حق پر ہے باقی سارے مذہب ٹھگ باز دھوکے باز اور پاکھنڈی ہیں۔ اسماعیلی دعا کو سمجھنے کیلئے پہلے انکی تاریخ پر غور کر لیتے تو یہ ویڈیو بنانے کی ضرورت نہ پڑتی۔ معاویہ نے جمعہ کی نماز میں اولاد علی پر تبرہ کرنا بھی واجب کیا تھا۔ تب اُسکو یہ نہیں بتایا کہ یہ قرآن و سنت کے خلاف ہے؟ چپ چاپ مان لیا تھا کہ نہیں؟ بس وہی مثال کافی ہے تمہارے لئے، خلیفۂ وقت چاہے جو بھی فتویٰ دے۔ ماننا لازمی ہے۔ ورنہ غلاموں کیلئے دنیا بہت بڑی ہے۔ اہل بیت کی غلامی چھوڑو گے تو پھر اسرائیل یہود امریکہ انگریز سب کی غلامی کرتے رہو گے، اور پھر اُنکی غلامی کرتے وقت شرم بھی نہیں آئے گی۔ سارے مسلم ممالک کے حکمرانوں کو دیکھ لیا۔ اپنے امام سے مدد اور قوت مانگنا اور اُسے خدا سمجھنا یہ دنیوی معاملات کیلئے ہے کہ جو بھی نظام دنیا کے کسی بھی ملک میں چل رہا ہو لیکن اُنکو امام الوقت سے اجازت لینی لازمی ہے۔ اوپر اللّٰه اور زمین پر علی (آغا خان) یہی اسلام ہے۔ دنیا کی اکثریت اگر چاہے تو بنی اسرائیل سے اپنا مسیح ایجاد کرکے اُس پر ایمان لا سکتی ہے لیکن یاد رکھنا اُسکی مخلاف سمت تھوڑے سہی مگر بنی اسماعیل ہی کھڑے ہوں گے۔ فیصلہ تمہارا ہے۔۔۔

🤣🤣🤣🤣 مولوی صاحب۔ پرنس آغا کریم امام کا نام نہیں ہے امام کا نام نور مولانا شاہ کریم الحسینی حاضر امام صلوٰۃ اللہ علیہ ہیں جو برگزیدہ اور 49واں امام ہے ۔ ہم اماموں کا نام ضرور لیتے ہیں مدد اللہ سے لیتے ہیں بذریہ خلیفہ خدا اور خلیفہ رسول یعنی علی زمان سے جس کا ذکر قرآن کریم میں موجود ہے :اے ایمان والو اللہ کی اطاعت کرو اور رسول کی اطاعت کرو اور اولی الامر کی اطاعت کرو جو آپ میں سے الہی امر کے مالک ہے : تمہارے علم میں اضافے کے لئے پیش خدمت ہے مدد کا تصور اور دلائل ۔۔۔۔مدد کا مطلب دلیل ا: مخلوق کو حقیقی مدد خدا کی طرف سے حاصل ہوتی ہے,مگر یہ رسول ص اور امام کی توسط سے ممکن ہے۔بعد ازان ظاہری,مجازی اور جسمانی مدد ہے جو لوگوں کی طرف سے خدا ,پیغمبر اور امام کو ہونی چاہیے۔جس کے معنہ یہ ہوئے کہ مدد کی مراد مقام اور درجہ کے مطابق پے,یعنی کہ خدا کی مدد,پیغمبر ص اور امام ع کی مدد اور لوگوں کی مدد ایک جیسی نہیں ہوسکتی,چنانچہ یاعلی مدد کا مطلب ہے,کہ اے علی صراط مستقیم پر ہماری رہنمائی اور دستگیری کیجیے,کیوں کہ یہاں مدد سے مراد ظاہری و باطنی ہدایت کے سوا کچھ نہیں,پھر بھی اگر پوچھا جائے کہ ہم یا اللہ مدد کیوں نہ کہیں,کہ یا رسول ص ندد کہیں اور یاعلی ع مدد کہیں۔اسکا تفصیلی جواب ذیل کی طرح ہے۔ 1-جن کا یہ عقیدہ ہے بلکہ ایمان ہے کہ پیغمبر ص و امام علیہ السلام اللہ تعالی کےذندہ و گوئندہ اسم اعظم ہے(7/180) تو ان کے نزدیک یہ بات حق اور حقیقت ہے کہ وہ اللہ تعالی کو ایسے نام سے پکاریں۔جو سب سے بزرگ اوراور خداوند تعالی کو بہت ہی عزیز اور پیارا ہے۔ 2-دانشمندوں کے نزدیک یہ بات بہت اہمیت والی ہے کہ حق تعالی نے کبھی اپنے کسی ظاہری و حرفہ نام کو اپنا خلیفہ نہیں بنایا,اسم کو پیغمبر اور امام نہیں ٹھرایا,اسے آسمانی کتاب کا معلم نہیں کہا,نہیں فرمایا کہ نور ہدایت کا سرچشمہ یہی لفظی اسم ہے ,اور نہ یہ ارشاد ہوا کہ ظاہری اسم خدا کی رسی ہے,پس معلوم ہوا کہ خدا کا حقیقی نام پیغمبر ہے اور امام زمان علیہ السلام,لہذا انہی کے وسیلے سے خدا تعالی کیطرف رجوع کرنا درست ہے۔ -3- کیوں نہیں,خداوند تعالی کے ظاہری اور حرفی اسماء میں بھی مومنین کے لیے نور ضرور ہے,مگر اس وقت جب نبی ص و امام ع کسی سے راضی ہوجایےورنہ مشکل بلکہ ناممکن ہے,مثال کے طور پر کسی غیر مسلم کو خداعند تعالی کا کوئی ظاہری اسم بتادیجئے اور قرآن سے دریافت کیجیے کہ آیا محمد رسول اللہ ص کی نبوت ورسالت کےاقرار کے بغیر ایسے شخص کو اسم خداوندی سے کوئی نورمل سکتا?مجھے یقین ہے کہ قرآن سے اسکا جواب نفی میں ملے گا۔ 4-جو کامل انسان ایسا ہو کہ وہ روئے زمین پر خلیفئہ خدا ہے ,اس کی کی جانب سے نور ہدایت اور خزانئہ علم و حکمت ہے,خدا اور اس کی مخلوق کے درمیان وسیلہ اور واسطہ ہے,اور لوگوں کا رہنما اور دستگیرہے,تو یہ لازمی بات ہے کہ لوگ ہر وقت اس کی طرف رجوع کریں,اور اسے مدد کے لئے پکارا کریں,کیوں کہ اسے خدا ہی نے اسی مقصد کے لئے مقرر فرمایا ہے۔ 5-قرآن مجید کی عظمت و بزرگی اور تقدس و فضیلت میں کسی مسلمان کو کیا شک ہوسکتا ہے,چنانچہ کتاب الہی کی جتنی تعظیم و حرمت کی جائے اور جیسا رجوع کیا جائے ,وہ سب صحیح اور جائز ہے,یہی مثال امام کی بھی ہےاور اس میں ذرہ بھر شرک نہیں ,کیونکہ خدا تعالی کی کی چیز کی طرف رجوع درحقیقت خدا سے رجوع ہے,تو اس میں شرک کیسے ہوسکتا ہے۔ 6-اللہ تعالی کی شناخت کے تصورات میں سے ایک تصور ایسا بھی ہے,جیسے حق سبحانہ و تعالی عرش عظیم پر قائم ہو اور جیسے اس کے عرش یعنی تخت کو چند بڑے فرشتے اٹھا رہے ہوں,اگر یہ بات مثال نہ ہو ,حقیقت ہو,تو پھر بھی اس کے معنی یہ ہونگے وہ انتہائ قوت والے فرشتے جو عرش عظیم اٹھائے ہوئے ہیں,خدا کے شریک ہر گز نہیں بلکہ خدا کے بندے ہیں,ہر چند کہ عرش الہی انھی پر قائم ہے۔ 7-اللہ تعالی کے قلم اور لوح کا تصور ہے,جو خداوند تعالی کا سارا کا اسی قلم اور لوح نے انجام دیا,مگر چونکہ یہ سب کچھ خدا کے حکم کے مطابق ہوا ہے ,اس لئے لوح و قلم خدا کے شریک نہیں کیونکہ خدا کی اپنی چیز شریک نہیں کہلاتی۔ 8_حق تعالی کے جبرائیل ع ,میکائیل ع ,اسرافیل ع اور عزرائیل ع ہے جو روحانیت کے بہت سے امور انجام دیتے ہیں,اور ان کے علاوہ اور بھی لاتعداد فرشتے ہیں ,جو مختلف کاموں پر مامور ہیں۔وہ اللہ تعالی کے حکم سے کام کرتے ہیں۔اس لئے روح,روحانیت اور غیب کے کاموں کے کرنے سے وہ شریک خدا نہیں کہلاتے ہیں۔ 9-ایک مثال عالم ظاہر کی بھی لیجیے کہ سورج اس کائنات میں کتنا عظیمکام کرتا ہے اس عالمظاہر کا سارا نظام سورج ہی پر قائم ہے,اسی طرح اگر عالم دین میں بھی اپنی نوعیت کا ایک سورج ہو تو ظاہر ہے کہ وہ اس دنیاوی سورج سے بھی بہت زیادہ عجیب ہوگا اور بہت ہی عجیب,لیکن کیا کوئج دانشمند کہہ سکتا کہ وہ دینی سورج خود خدا ہے یا خدا کا شریک ہے?اگر دنیوی سورج اپنی بے پناہ روشنی اور مادی قوتوں کا سرچشمہ ہونے کے باوجود خدا کا شریک نہیں ہوسکتا ہے,تو جاننا چاہیے کہ عالم دین کا سورج بھی خدا کا شریک نہیں کہلاسکتا ہے,مگر اللہ تعالی کی قدرت کا مظہر ہوسکتا ہے,پس جاننا چاہیے کہ رسول ص اور امام ع عالم دین کے سورج یعنی نور ہیں اور ان سے ہدایتکی روشنی حاصل کرنے کے لئے رجوع اور درخواست اعانت جائز اور درست ہے اور اس میں کوئی شرک نہیں۔ عالم دین کے سورج میں پاک روح اور عقل کامل ہے ,اسے علم و حکمت اور رشدو ہدایت کا سرچشمہ قرار دیا گیا ہے,ساتھ ہی ساتھ پروردگار عالم نے اس کو قدرت دی ہے اور اسے اختیار حاصل ہے,پس اگر ہم کہیں کہ اے آفتاب دین ! آپ ہمیں دین کی روشنی پہنچائیے ,تو کیا یہ شرک ہوسکتا ہے?وہ کیسے?اور کس طرح?

There is no mention of Tariqah of Salat (namaz) in Quran. Ismailis do believe in Shariyah, to them Shariyah is fluid, it is not rigid or constant. Islam is not just name of Fasting, Hajj or Zakat. Islam is complete way of life. In Islam ethical values and humanity comes first. Huqququl ibaad are must. To help humanity is a worthy cause. The charitable work done by Ismailis and their Imam is neglected by common Muslims, generally there is only focus on Namaz, Hajj, and Zakat in Muslim world.

There is no mention of word NAMAZ used in Quran, instead it is SALAAT. Let me quote the Hadith mentioned in Bukhari as well Muslim about the gift of 50 times Salat by Allah, then reducing it to 5 times. One can imagine that Allah and Rasul knew not but Moses knew that Ummah of Prophet Muhammad can not take burden of 50 Salats a day. Other point is if 50 times were imposed means Muslims had to offer only Salats all day and do nothing for earning food or do any other work. Many times Rasul Allah went in Darbar of Allha requesting to decrease number of Salats. This is the Hadith narrated in Bukhari:
پہلی بات تو یہ ہے کہ دونوں ائمۂ طاہرین کے مبارک فرامین اور قرآن کریم تینوں ٹھیک ہیں، یہاں ایک ہی حقیقت کی تین مثالیں ہیں، آپ کو ان میں تضاد اس لئے لگ رہا ہے کہ آپ نے ان کو حقیقت میں لیا ہے، ان تینوں مثالوں کے پس منظر میں حقیقت ایک ہی ہے، جب آپ پر اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کی رحمت ہوئی تو ان شاءاللہ ضرور ان تینوں مثالوں کی ایک ہی حقیقت نظر آئے گی۔
دوسری بات یہ ہے کہ خود قرآن کریم میں انسانی تخلیق کے مختلف بیانات آئے ہیں:
1۔ سورۃ الرحمن آیت 14 میں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ صَلۡصَالٍ كَالۡفَخَّارِۙ۔ انسان کو کھنکھناتی ہوئی مٹی سے پیدا کیا۔
2۔ سورۂ دہر آیت نمبر2 میں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ اِنَّا خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ نُّطۡفَةٍ اَمۡشَاجٍۖ۔ ہم انسان کو نطفۂ مخلوط سے پیدا کیا۔
3۔ سورۃ المؤمنون آیت نمبر 12 تا 14 میں اللہ تعالیٰ ماں کے پیٹ میں سات مراحل سے گزار کر انسان کو پیدا کرنے کا ذکر فرماتا ہے۔
4۔ علمائے اسلام کے مطابق حضرت آدم کو مٹی سے، حضرت عیسیٰ کو صرف ماں سے اور ہمیں ماں اور باپ دونوں سے پیدا کرنے کی تعلیم دی جاتی ہے جبکہ قرآن کریم کا واضح فرمان ہے کہ فطۡرَتَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِىۡ فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيۡهَا ؕ لَا تَبۡدِيۡلَ لِخَـلۡقِ اللّٰهِ۔ ترجمہ: اللّٰہ کی فطرت وہی ہے جس پر اس نے لوگوں کو پیدا کیا، اور اللہ کی اس طریق تخلیق میں کوئی تبدیلی نہیں آتی ہے۔ یعنی اللہ اس آیت میں ایک طریقے سے سب کی تخلیق کرنے کا ذکر فرماتا ہے؟

Explicit injunction for three times prayer is given in the Koran in several verses, which are mentioned here under:-
“Wa aqimi salwata tarfai nahar’e wa zualfan mina l-layl”
-(Qur'an: Surah:11: Verse:114)
“And establish salat at the both ends of the day (morning and evening) and at the approach of the night”
The word tarf means an end, extremity or part, and Atrafa l-Nahr means two ends of the day refers to the morning and evening, or the fajr and maghrib, while zualfan mina l-layl means a short while after falling of night.
Shibli Noman 1857-1914) also admits in his Sirat al-Nabawi (2:112) that this verse contains an injunction of three times prayer.
“Wa aqimisalwata li- duluki i-shamsi ila gasqi l- layl wa quranul fajar’e” (17:78)
“And establish salat at the sun’s decline till the darkness of the night and in the morning.”
The word duluki i-shams means sunset refers to the salat of magrib. The word gasqi l- layl means the darkness of the night, refers to the salat of isha, and fajr obviously the salat of morning. Ibn Umar relates that the Prophet said that duluki i-shams means sinking of the sun, vide al-Itqan (2: 631-2) by Suyuti.
Tirmizi and Nisai also admit veracity of this tradition related by Abu Huraira. Referring the above Koranic verses, Reuben Levy writes in The Social Structure of Islam (London, 1962, p. 155) that:
“It would appear from these verses that only three appointed times of worship are indicated….For a century or more after the death of the Prophet, it was not definitely known, or decided, actually how many periods of worship were laid down nor at what hours worship was to be performed.”
It was a period when no timepiece device existed, therefore, the above three salats were used to be performed on the following method:-
SALAT AL-FAJR (Subah Sadik Du'aa)
Also called salat al-subh. When any person could perceive his neighbour at near distance in darkness at dawn.
-(Bukhari, muwakit, p. 21).
Its time begins with “the true dawn” (al-fajr al-sadik) when the faces can still not yet be recognized,and extends until the daybreak as such before the sun appears.
It should be noted that the Arabs designated the early morning as the dhanab al-sirhan (the tail of the wolf), and this is when the light gradually begins to get brighter at the place where the suns is about to rise like the light of a lamp.
*SALAT AL-MAGHRIB*. (Sanji Du'aa)
It was offered and ended when an arrow was shot from a bow and could be seen at sunset ((Ibid., p. 27). Its time begins when the sun disappears beneath the horizon, and normally continues until disappearance of the twilight radiance.
SALAT AL-ISHA (Somani Du'aa)
Also called salat al-atama (salat of black night), and salat al-layl (night prayer). When the people felt need of burning lamp in early night. (Ibid. p. 24).
Its time begins soon after the disappearance of the twilight and extends until the end of the first third of the night.
According to The Encyclopaedia of Islam (1995, 8:926):
“In the Koran as a whole, the times of prayers are indicated with a richness of vocabulary which shows a practice still at the evolutionary state. There are, it seems, three essential times, to which the median prayer is added somewhat later.”
W. Montgomery Watt writes in Muhammad in Medina (London, 1956, p. 305) that:
“When the worship was stabilized by the later jurists, it became obligatory for every Muslim to perform it five times daily. It is doubtful, however, whether the five daily hours were regularly observed even during Muhammad’s closing years, and a phrase in the Quran shows that there must have been at least three hours of prayer daily.”
In view of The Encyclopaedia of Religion and Ethics (London, 1956,10:197), “Some of the earliest verses of the Quran require Muslims to perform the salat thrice every day in the morning before sunrise, at the close of day, and during a part of the night.”
“And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening, and adore Him during part of the night, and give glory to Him through the long night.” (36:25-26)
Above verse further boost to explicit evidence of three times prayer as well as the midnight worship in a day. This Islamic practice in fact is being performed by the Shi’ite Ismaili Muslims.
In Mecca, the Muslims had no mosque or proper place to offer prayers due to the oppression of the pagan Arabs. During the period of 13 years in Mecca, the Muslim offered their prayers in fajr, maghrib and Isha. There is no indication of five times prayers in Meccan period.
According to Marshall G.S. Hodgson in The Venture of Islam (London, 1974, 1:179): “The bowings and prostrations of formal worship, the salat, were commonly done at least three times a day in unison, normally at the prayer ground at the Prophet’s home.”
Later, the theologians debated on it, but found no explicit indication. In order to justify five times prayers in the Meccan period, someone fabricated a hadith, known as the Hadith-i Miraj, the secondary source to claim that the Islam ordained five times prayer.

Critical analysis of the Hadith-i Miraj
Anas bin Malik is alleged to have related that when the Prophet returned from the seventh heaven, Moses asked him at the first heaven, what he had brought for his ummah. The Prophet said that he brought an ordinance of 50 times prayers.
Moses told that prayer was a weighty matter and his ummah was weak, so go back to God and ask Him to reduce the number of prayers. The Prophet returned to the seventh heaven and God reduced the number by half.
The Prophet returned and Moses once again persuaded him that it was still intolerable for the ummah. Back with God, the Prophet succeeded in reducing the number of salat to five a day. Moses told that it was still too heavy burden for the ummah, which needed further reduction.
The Prophet did not agree with it, and said, “I feel ashamed to go again in the Holy Presence. I am now satisfied with it. The God told me that He made no changes in His injunction.”
The weakness of this hadithis examined as under:-
The event of Miraj took place in Mecca. Due to the oppression of the pagan Meccans, the Muslims could not offer prayers publicly. No salat, fast or haj were ordained since the situation was absolutely not in their favour.
Nevertheless, the Muslims offered salat secretly in a simple mode at homes or caves. Under the hostile milieu, a heavy injunction of 50 times prayer in Mecca seems quite improbable.
Was God not aware that the Muslims were hardly praying three times in Mecca due to hostile atmosphere, so how they could offer fifty times?
It is a great pity that the order of five times prayer was not revealed through divine revelation, while other injunctions were come down through usual revelations.
Granted that the mode of injunction is reliable, then it suggests that the Prophet was quite unknown either his ummah would bear it or not. It is curious that only Moses is made first in the hadith to perceive the distress of the ummah of the Prophet of Islam.
The Prophet ascended to the seventh heaven more than once, and made reduction of salat from 50 to 5, and did not feel ashamed on each turn!
Why did he feel so on third turn? It further deserves notice that God commanded salat for 50 times, and then made alterations two times in His injunction. Then, why He said that He never made changes in His injunction?
It seems that the person who fabricated above hadith had a plan in mind to bring the figure of salat at five and not less. It was a time when the jurists needed a tradition to justify five times prayer, therefore, none of them cared in its authenticity.
The sudden emergence of above tradition however met their requirement, but forgot its weak notion. The designer was a Jew, who intended to show that Moses advised the Prophet of Islam about the future grievance of the Muslims, which was unknown to him.
Dr. Ghulam Jilani Burk remarks on the above hadith in his Du Islam (Lahore, 1981, p. 234) that, “To sum up the legend, the grievance of the ummah was not known to God and the Prophet.
If Moses had not played an intermediary role, the injunction of 50 times prayer had been ordained for the ummah. And the ummah would offer prayers constantly from morning to evening.
Neither they can eat nor attend to their necessity of life. It would have force the people to forsake Islam and follow other path. The foresight of Moses should be applauded who saved the Islam.”
According to Qurani Faisal’e (Karachi, 1953, pp. 16-18), “God ordained 50 times prayer, and the Prophet returned with the order. Neither God realized in His order of impossible performance, nor the Prophet, how his people would bear its burden.
And if it had been realized, it was only Moses……We only request to think with cool minds, what the non-Muslims had imagined for our God and Prophet when they went through the story.
It clearly infers from this tradition that it must have been fabricated by a Jew, so that the superiority of Moses be elucidated and the Muslims be informed the status of Moses before the Prophet.”
The Muslim scholars however express great doubts as to the historical character of the above hadith, nevertheless, it is produced as a reliable source, for the Koran is silent for it
G.E. Von Grunebaum writes in Classical Islam (London,1970, p. 47):
“….though in Muhammad’s lifetime the requirement of five sessions daily was not yet laid down. The Koran prescribes only two or three, and raising the number to five is probably the result of Jewish influence.”
Mohammad Jafar Shah Phulwari writes in Islam din’i A’san (Lahore, 1955, p. 296) that, “Koran does not describe in explicit words that the prayers are five. In some other sound traditions the evidence of less than five prayers is accessible.
The Koranic context is clear and that the words khums al-salat or al-salat alkhums have not been mentioned.”
“The five times of prayer” writes Richard Bell in The Origin of Islam (London, 1968, p. 142), “which ultimately became the rule are nowhere mentioned in the Quran.”

اسماعیلی اپنے پیر شاہ شمس ملتانی اور اُنکی اولاد پیر صدرالدین و حسن کبیرالدین و سید امام شاہ وغیرہ کے کلاموں/گنانوں کے تحت اپنے امام کے حکم کو اللّٰه کا حکم مان کر چلتے ہیں۔
یاد رہے کہ یہ بریلیویوں صوفیوں کا سب سے پہلا گروپ ہے اور بانی پیر کا گروپ ہے۔

یہ وہی اسماعیلی خواجہ ہیں جنہیں یہ خطاب اور ذمہ داری انکے پیر صدرالدین سبزواری نے دی ہے۔
سنی کیلئے اُنکے بابوں بخآری مسلم داؤد ترمذی مشکوۃ کی کتاب حتمی ہے لیکن انکے لئے حدیث وہی ہے جو انکے چودھویں صدی کے پیروں نے بتائی ہے۔
اگر امام کا فرمان انکے پیروں کے قدیم گنانون سے ٹکڑاتا ہے تب انہیں امامت کی طرف سے اجازت دی جاتی ہے کہ چاہے تو مانو ورنہ نہ مانو۔
انکی وفا دینِ محمد سے یہ ہے کہ یہ اپنے بابوں کا دین ساری دنیا پر تھوپنے کی کوشش نہیں کرتے ورنہ انکے پیروں نے تو یہاں تک لکھ دیا ہے کہ صرف اسماعیلی خوجہ دین حق پر ہے باقی سارے مذہب ٹھگ باز دھوکے باز اور پاکھنڈی ہیں۔
اسماعیلی دعا کو سمجھنے کیلئے پہلے انکی تاریخ پر غور کر لیتے تو یہ ویڈیو بنانے کی ضرورت نہ پڑتی۔
معاویہ نے جمعہ کی نماز میں اولاد علی پر تبرہ کرنا بھی واجب کیا تھا۔ تب اُسکو یہ نہیں بتایا کہ یہ قرآن و سنت کے خلاف ہے؟ چپ چاپ مان لیا تھا کہ نہیں؟
بس وہی مثال کافی ہے تمہارے لئے، خلیفۂ وقت چاہے جو بھی فتویٰ دے۔ ماننا لازمی ہے۔ ورنہ غلاموں کیلئے دنیا بہت بڑی ہے۔
اہل بیت کی غلامی چھوڑو گے تو پھر اسرائیل یہود امریکہ انگریز سب کی غلامی کرتے رہو گے، اور پھر اُنکی غلامی کرتے وقت شرم بھی نہیں آئے گی۔ سارے مسلم ممالک کے حکمرانوں کو دیکھ لیا۔
اپنے امام سے مدد اور قوت مانگنا اور اُسے خدا سمجھنا یہ دنیوی معاملات کیلئے ہے کہ جو بھی نظام دنیا کے کسی بھی ملک میں چل رہا ہو لیکن اُنکو امام الوقت سے اجازت لینی لازمی ہے۔
اوپر اللّٰه اور زمین پر علی (آغا خان) یہی اسلام ہے۔
دنیا کی اکثریت اگر چاہے تو بنی اسرائیل سے اپنا مسیح ایجاد کرکے اُس پر ایمان لا سکتی ہے لیکن یاد رکھنا اُسکی مخلاف سمت تھوڑے سہی مگر بنی اسماعیل ہی کھڑے ہوں گے۔

ہم اماموں کا نام ضرور لیتے ہیں مدد اللہ سے لیتے ہیں بذریہ خلیفہ خدا اور خلیفہ رسول یعنی علی زمان سے جس کا ذکر قرآن کریم میں موجود ہے :اے ایمان والو اللہ کی اطاعت کرو اور رسول کی اطاعت کرو اور اولی الامر کی اطاعت کرو جو آپ میں سے الہی امر کے مالک ہے :
تمہارے علم میں اضافے کے لئے پیش خدمت ہے مدد کا تصور اور دلائل ۔۔۔۔مدد کا مطلب
دلیل ا: مخلوق کو حقیقی مدد خدا کی طرف سے حاصل ہوتی ہے,مگر یہ رسول ص اور امام کی توسط سے ممکن ہے۔بعد ازان ظاہری,مجازی اور جسمانی مدد ہے جو لوگوں کی طرف سے خدا ,پیغمبر اور امام کو ہونی چاہیے۔جس کے معنہ یہ ہوئے کہ مدد کی مراد مقام اور درجہ کے مطابق پے,یعنی کہ خدا کی مدد,پیغمبر ص اور امام ع کی مدد اور لوگوں کی مدد ایک جیسی نہیں ہوسکتی,چنانچہ یاعلی مدد کا مطلب ہے,کہ اے علی صراط مستقیم پر ہماری رہنمائی اور دستگیری کیجیے,کیوں کہ یہاں مدد سے مراد ظاہری و باطنی ہدایت کے سوا کچھ نہیں,پھر بھی اگر پوچھا جائے کہ ہم یا اللہ مدد کیوں نہ کہیں,کہ یا رسول ص ندد کہیں اور یاعلی ع مدد کہیں۔اسکا تفصیلی جواب ذیل کی طرح ہے۔
1-جن کا یہ عقیدہ ہے بلکہ ایمان ہے کہ پیغمبر ص و امام علیہ السلام اللہ تعالی کےذندہ و گوئندہ اسم اعظم ہے(7/180) تو ان کے نزدیک یہ بات حق اور حقیقت ہے کہ وہ اللہ تعالی کو ایسے نام سے پکاریں۔جو سب سے بزرگ اوراور خداوند تعالی کو بہت ہی عزیز اور پیارا ہے۔
2-دانشمندوں کے نزدیک یہ بات بہت اہمیت والی ہے کہ حق تعالی نے کبھی اپنے کسی ظاہری و حرفہ نام کو اپنا خلیفہ نہیں بنایا,اسم کو پیغمبر اور امام نہیں ٹھرایا,اسے آسمانی کتاب کا معلم نہیں کہا,نہیں فرمایا کہ نور ہدایت کا سرچشمہ یہی لفظی اسم ہے ,اور نہ یہ ارشاد ہوا کہ ظاہری اسم خدا کی رسی ہے,پس معلوم ہوا کہ خدا کا حقیقی نام پیغمبر ہے اور امام زمان علیہ السلام,لہذا انہی کے وسیلے
سے خدا تعالی کیطرف رجوع کرنا درست ہے۔
-3- کیوں نہیں,خداوند تعالی کے ظاہری اور حرفی اسماء میں بھی مومنین کے لیے نور ضرور ہے,مگر اس وقت جب نبی ص و امام ع کسی سے راضی ہوجایےورنہ مشکل بلکہ ناممکن ہے,مثال کے طور پر کسی غیر مسلم کو خداعند تعالی کا کوئی ظاہری اسم بتادیجئے اور قرآن سے دریافت کیجیے کہ آیا محمد رسول اللہ ص کی نبوت ورسالت کےاقرار کے بغیر ایسے شخص کو اسم خداوندی سے کوئی نورمل سکتا?مجھے یقین ہے کہ قرآن سے اسکا جواب نفی میں ملے گا۔
4-جو کامل انسان ایسا ہو کہ وہ روئے زمین پر خلیفئہ خدا ہے ,اس کی کی جانب سے نور ہدایت اور خزانئہ علم و حکمت ہے,خدا اور اس کی مخلوق کے درمیان وسیلہ اور واسطہ ہے,اور لوگوں کا رہنما اور دستگیرہے,تو یہ لازمی بات ہے کہ لوگ ہر وقت اس کی طرف رجوع کریں,اور اسے مدد کے لئے پکارا کریں,کیوں کہ اسے خدا ہی نے اسی مقصد کے لئے مقرر فرمایا ہے۔
5-قرآن مجید کی عظمت و بزرگی اور تقدس و فضیلت میں کسی مسلمان کو کیا شک ہوسکتا ہے,چنانچہ کتاب الہی کی جتنی تعظیم و حرمت کی جائے اور جیسا رجوع کیا جائے ,وہ سب صحیح اور جائز ہے,یہی مثال امام کی بھی ہےاور اس میں ذرہ بھر شرک نہیں ,کیونکہ خدا تعالی کی کی چیز کی طرف رجوع درحقیقت خدا سے رجوع ہے,تو اس میں شرک کیسے ہوسکتا ہے۔
6-اللہ تعالی کی شناخت کے تصورات میں سے ایک تصور ایسا بھی ہے,جیسے حق سبحانہ و تعالی عرش عظیم پر قائم ہو اور جیسے اس کے عرش یعنی تخت کو چند بڑے فرشتے اٹھا رہے ہوں,اگر یہ بات مثال نہ ہو ,حقیقت ہو,تو پھر بھی اس کے معنی یہ ہونگے وہ انتہائ قوت والے فرشتے جو عرش عظیم اٹھائے ہوئے ہیں,خدا کے شریک ہر گز نہیں بلکہ خدا کے بندے ہیں,ہر چند کہ عرش الہی انھی پر قائم ہے۔
7-اللہ تعالی کے قلم اور لوح کا تصور ہے,جو خداوند تعالی کا سارا کا اسی قلم اور لوح نے انجام دیا,مگر چونکہ یہ سب کچھ خدا کے حکم کے مطابق ہوا ہے ,اس لئے لوح و قلم خدا کے شریک نہیں کیونکہ خدا کی اپنی چیز شریک نہیں کہلاتی۔
8_حق تعالی کے جبرائیل ع ,میکائیل ع ,اسرافیل ع اور عزرائیل ع ہے جو روحانیت کے بہت سے امور انجام دیتے ہیں,اور ان کے علاوہ اور بھی لاتعداد فرشتے ہیں ,جو مختلف کاموں پر مامور ہیں۔وہ اللہ تعالی کے حکم سے کام کرتے ہیں۔اس لئے روح,روحانیت اور غیب کے کاموں کے کرنے سے وہ شریک خدا نہیں کہلاتے ہیں۔
9-ایک مثال عالم ظاہر کی بھی لیجیے کہ سورج اس کائنات میں کتنا عظیمکام کرتا ہے اس عالمظاہر کا سارا نظام سورج ہی پر قائم ہے,اسی طرح اگر عالم دین میں بھی اپنی نوعیت کا ایک سورج ہو تو ظاہر ہے کہ وہ اس دنیاوی سورج سے بھی بہت زیادہ عجیب ہوگا اور بہت ہی عجیب,لیکن کیا کوئج دانشمند کہہ سکتا کہ وہ دینی سورج خود خدا ہے یا خدا کا شریک ہے?اگر دنیوی سورج اپنی بے پناہ روشنی اور مادی قوتوں کا سرچشمہ ہونے کے باوجود خدا کا شریک نہیں ہوسکتا ہے,تو جاننا چاہیے کہ عالم دین کا سورج بھی خدا کا شریک نہیں کہلاسکتا ہے,مگر اللہ تعالی کی قدرت کا مظہر ہوسکتا ہے,پس جاننا چاہیے کہ رسول ص اور امام ع عالم دین کے سورج یعنی نور ہیں اور ان سے ہدایتکی روشنی حاصل کرنے کے لئے رجوع اور درخواست اعانت جائز اور درست ہے اور اس میں کوئی شرک نہیں۔
عالم دین کے سورج میں پاک روح اور عقل کامل ہے ,اسے علم و حکمت اور رشدو ہدایت کا سرچشمہ قرار دیا گیا ہے,ساتھ ہی ساتھ پروردگار عالم نے اس کو قدرت دی ہے اور اسے اختیار حاصل ہے,پس اگر ہم کہیں کہ اے آفتاب دین ! آپ ہمیں دین کی روشنی پہنچائیے ,تو کیا یہ شرک ہوسکتا ہے?وہ کیسے?اور کس طرح?

There is no mention of Tariqah of Salat (namaz) in Quran. Ismailis do believe in Shariyah, to them Shariyah is fluid, it is not rigid or constant. Islam is not just name of Fasting, Hajj or Zakat. Islam is complete way of life. In Islam ethical values and humanity comes first. Huqququl ibaad are must. To help humanity is a worthy cause. The charitable work done by Ismailis and their Imam is neglected by common Muslims, generally there is only focus on Namaz, Hajj, and Zakat in Muslim world.
