    I just tried it and was approved for my freedom flex that I’ve had for 1 year. Went from $19,400 to $30,000 which is what I asked for! No inquiry on my credit report. Thanks so much!

    I had the same low $1.9K limit for 2-3 years on my CFU, applied the steps you outlined and called and received a CLI increase instantly after going through the standard income and rent/mortgage questions. My new limit is $3.8K. Hoping to apply for another increase in 5-6 months. Thanks for the video 😊

    This was great! I subscribed right after this working for me. Went from having the OG Freedom $6,000 to $12,000 and the Freedom Unlimited $2,900 to $5,800. I don’t use the unlimited a lot so that’s why it didn’t go up, but otherwise happy both cards got increases. Thank you and look forward to more content!

      So I recently applied for the sapphire preferred card and got approved. If you remember from my previous comment I just recently asked for a credit limit increase for my OG freedom and my freedom unlimited. Do you think I’d be able to ask to transfer some of the credit line I have for one or both of my cards to the sapphire preferred? Do you know if it has any affect to my credit score or anything?

    • @zerozone1412
      @zerozone1412 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you ask for both increase at the same time Or separately?

    • @MPG2014
      @MPG2014 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zerozone1412 I asked for both at the same time, but I sent one message for each one. I got accepted for my request on one since I used it more on a regular basis and my other one they didn’t give me the full increase, but did give me partial of what I asked. So still got both of them increased. I would have in mind though, which I didn’t when I asked for the increase, is that chase seems to be known to give you half of what your income you make a year is. So if you make $50,000 a year, they’ll only give you $25,000 in lines of credit. So if you are looking to apply for other chase cards I’d consider that. Not saying it is a sure thing, but would definitely watch that as that was my issue when I applied for the chase preferred shortly after doing this increase and actually got denied because of these increases I did. Luckily called the reconsideration line and got the card. Sorry for this being long but short answer yes I did both at the same time. Hope that helps

    Dear Dayana: After seeing this video a few days ago, I had the courage to follow your advice. I sent a secured e-mail asking if I could get an increase without a hard pull? The response was affirmative, and per your video, requested employment status, income, etc. I responded with my information, and also stated that I had the card for 28 years with no missed payment. The old line was 25.6K. I requested 30.5K. Within 12 hours of receiving my request, I was immediately given 30.2. That's an 18 percent increase--my understanding is that 15% is typical. Thank you for the advice. Keep up the good work!

    Great info! Ive had the Amazon Prime card for 1.5 years with no automatic increases. I use the card regularly, never carry a balance and pay on time, and my credit score and income have both increased significantly since first opening the account. Ive seen the "request CL increase" button in the app for the last 6 months but every time i tap on it, I get that message that Im not eligible for an increase at this time. Didnt think to try their website on the computer (d'oh!). So I finally called to request an increase. The CS rep asked about my income, my housing cost, and if I was employed. He also reassured me that the inquiry would not result in a hard pull. I only requested from 2800 to 6000, and was approved instantly. I guess maybe I should have asked for more after watching this haha. But nah, Im just glad I got approved at all 👍

    I did this the other day for my Chase Slate Edge and was turned down for the increase. What tripped me out is they did a soft pull, but the report was from the end of February. I had a balance on my Freedom card so my score dropped which was their reason for declining the request. However, in March I paid it off, my usage dropped, and my score is now up to 744 on my Fico. Why would they pull a 2 month old report?

    Great content on this one. I didn't hear you mention it, and I might of have missed it. But having a zero balance when you apply might be an important thing to do as well. Did you have a balance when you applied for your increase? How do you think that plays a part in their decision to give people an increase?

    Hey Dayana, Ive see a lot of your videos and noticed you have a bunch of credit cards lol how do you go about getting so many cards since they are hard pulls every time you get a new card? Do you request to get those inquiries removed or is there some other trick that you wouldn't mind sharing?

    • @DayanaPlays
      @DayanaPlays  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, I only have 10 credit cards, most of which I've accumulated during the same time period, so almost all the hard inquiries for each have fallen off my credit report around the same time.
      As a reminder, hard inquiries stay on your credit report for 2 years, but they only affect your score for 1 year. So if you, for example, apply for 2 new credit cards in April 2023, both hard inquiries will stop affecting your score on April 2024 and completely fall off your credit report on April 2025.
      I hope that makes sense! 😊

    • @_ricky_10_24
      @_ricky_10_24 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DayanaPlays ok that does make sense, thanks for the reply!
      Also, how many more cards do you think you’ll get before you think you’ll be done getting cards? For example, do you think 10-12 cards is a good number, or 12-15 or ?

    • @DayanaPlays
      @DayanaPlays  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@_ricky_10_24 My current cards cover all my spending categories, so for now I'll stay at 10. However, if I start traveling more, I might apply for a good travel card, and that's it unless they come out with an irresistible new CC haha!
      There's no right or wrong number. I have 10 cards that align with my spending habits, so I'm able to use them accordingly.
      Maybe all you need is five, because those five cover all YOUR spending categories. It honestly depends on your specific needs/spending. 😊

    So its funny how they down actually verify the income my income is around 70k a year and I normally get a credit limit of 10-15k depending on card issuer but last month I came back from a eye appointment I was getting a Eye surgery and my vision was very blurry and I accidentally put in a extra 0 and made it 700k a year and then I had to explain all next day why I accidentally go approved for a 60k card from bank of America and they fixed it so technically you could lie where you say yearly salary and they will approve you for a higher limit please be responsible with this information but its crazy to me how they dont even fact check income 😂😂😂

    • @k.m.f369
      @k.m.f369 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What do u mean, "the whole next day u had to explain how u accidentally got approved for a $60k BOA CC?"... explain that to who?? Why?
      If u get ur limit increased, you don't have to explain yourself to sum1, "all day"---& how is it a mistake that happened..? u requested an increase and u got 1?
      If u allegedly didn't know/see u put an extra 0 in ur income, u certainly wouldnt know it then, (next day) either. Doesn't make sense why or who would be "fixing" that either.
      Story seems super weird.
      [$60k is hardly a massive boost in limit from $15k if ur income hypothetically had gone up to 700k. That'd be a 10x delta in income and mere 4x in credit limit boost.]

    • @lucidranger58
      @lucidranger58 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@k.m.f369 I had to explain to a BOA rep because I did not need a card with 60k credit line my if you have huge credit lines opened like this creditors will flag your account because if you make for example 20k a year and have 50k line of credit you can spend that money in a day I only applied for the card because I had a offer it was spend 8k in the first 3 months and get 1500 dollars worth of points for free thats why I initially applied for the card the way I found out is via the approval email I got the following day I have multiple lines of credit through various business accounts and my personal account is only used for day to day tasks for me that is why I did not chose to have such a high limit on my account also you talk about a 10x theta compared to a 4x boost but that is because some credit cards have a maximum limit they will give you on person accounts another reason banks dont give me higher credits on personal accounts is because I have multiple business cards combining with over 800k available credit so they deem me as a higher risk person compared to someone that has a stable income I self report and pay myself through my business so my income fluctuates often because most of the times I dont even need 70k a year I reinvest everything so I am considered a high risk client
