Really cool idea and beautiful wood. The turning wasn’t too shabby either! Love it!

nice work. the colors of lamp simulate staring into a fire. calms the mind. Am newer to turning but I have been saving high resin content pine boards. Hope to create some things with it down the road.

Muuuuuy bueno!!!!
Aivan loistava. Hieno taideteos
kiitoksia paljon👍 joo kyllä arvelin työtä alottaessa et nättiä puuta on mut tehdessä piti suunnitelmaa muuttaa että puu pääsee näyttämään oikeasti parhaat puolensa. muutama "hullu" idea samasta puusta tulossa kunhan taas ehtii sorvin äärelle..
*_... очень красиво ... и неожиданно !!_*
Great piece ! Thought it looked like a bowl with a slice of banana at the bottom at 4.35 though ! 👍
😁
Wow!!!!!!!
The Finnish Air force & composers & conductors. Love jets.
Lovely💝🕯🙏
inovative
way kool
Woow
That is really cool but is that wet wood? If so, it's going to bust and crack like crazy and then what? I am doing one right now and it's in my kiln drying and it is cracking all apart. I'll fix it with resin after it's dry, but these end grain turnings are fragile.
yes the "shade" was very wet. i let it dry about 2 weeks on lathe it crooked a bit. but because i turned it so thin it doesnt crack so easily. base was pretty dry wood before turning so i think it does not crack. i like these end grain turnings but the risk of cracking sometimes chooses the design.
@@jarkko.makkonen It is a very nice turning
Looks really great! What kind of wood was that?
fresh cut of pretty nice guality masur birch.

Now that's real different. What kind of wood? Birch?
it is called masur birch or karelian birch but it actually is variant of silver birch. it grows in karelia here in finland and russia. and i live in north karelia in finland so.. i am lucky to have guite lot of this masur birch avaible for woodturning.
Ooooooh
Bu agac yas mi kuru mu ben yas agac kullaninca catliyir sizdede oyle mi oluyor?
shade karelian birch/masur birch. shade was wet and base dry. no cracks yet.
Woodglut has a very large project base.
