Hi, really useful and helpful video thanks! I've just received replacement blades from Audi, I wasn't expecting them to be primed only though. Do you know what the paint code is for the blades?
Good question! I'm pretty sure the original B6 S4 ones were not painted at all. The colour is uniform front and rear and they don't appear painted. On the B7 S4 however they changed the blades to be body coloured. I'm not sure if they do a B6 and seperate B7 version without looking more in-depth into the parts system. It might be worth calling Audi and asking if they do a standard grey B6 S4 version as well as a B7 S4 primed version, or if they just all come primed now. Or you could go B7 style and paint it the same colour as you car, if so check this vdeo out: th-cam.com/video/p9WSNKnmZjw/w-d-xo.html --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome! Hey there! H We have not done a video on that trim, but it is stuck on with double-sided tape. Hi. I have a loose door blade on my Audi A3 98 model. Some of the metal knobs is gone, due to rust. Do you have any suggestion on how I attach it when the knobs is gone?
Jobb Bruker did you get this sorted i have a problem with mine which was caused by hitting my seat belt as i closed the door and popped off. Having a mare with ut tbh any info woukd be appreciated
Hey there! Well if you have enough of the knobs remaining then use those to attach it. If you have too many missing, or the remaining ones are looking very unhealthy, then you could try glueing and clamping them on. This would mean though that they could not be removed again of course. Tiger Seal is a product that is used a lot for glueing body panels and is really strong. You can get that from Amazon etc easily enough and it's not too expensive. But be sure you are 100% happy with the clamped position and that it is held firmly in place and not likely to slip during drying etc as once it's set it's going nowhere. The other option would be to weld in new pins/knobs on to the door, but obviously that is far more involved. Hope that helps, and please be sure to support us... --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Please ensure you subscribe to our TH-cam channel. 2) Please give our video's the Thumbs Up on TH-cam. 3) Please help spread the word, the more people who know about us the better! Does the same apply to the original S3? one screw at either end ?
Nice work mate! Does anyone have an how to for the A4 S4 B8 Sline models? The door blades have clips connected to the blades.
How do you get the other bit off, the strip above the door blade?
Hi mate. was wondering if you know the part number for the S4 grey blades?
Trying to do this on a 2018 Q5. . . appears to be mostly held on by 3M double sided tape along the top and sides of molding.
Thank you from Germany

Would this be the same as a B8 Q5?
Hey there! Unfortunately we are not covering the Q5 platform just yet. We are hoping to be able to expand Total Technik to cover additional models, but it's not a cheap undertaking and our expansion will be solely reliant on the support we receive from our viewers.
Hopefully we can cover that model in the not-too-distant future!

Thank you very much. Have quite a bit of bubble rust appearing on outside above trim so hopefully I can remove. Think one of screws missing at outside end tho. But many thanks again 😃
You are welcome :-)

Awesome ! Thanks man, great video.
Or you could go B7 style and paint it the same colour as you car, if so check this vdeo out: th-cam.com/video/p9WSNKnmZjw/w-d-xo.html

My problem is the coloured trim above that one it is coming off in the middle on drivers side, what l want to know is it the same way to remove it
Hey there! H We have not done a video on that trim, but it is stuck on with double-sided tape. The hardest part is often finding suitable replacement (i.e. VERY thin and VERY strong) 3M tape to refit.

Awesome video! Do you by any chance have one for the B8 Audi A4?
Hey there! Not yet as we are covering the B6/B7 currently (as well as C5 A6/S6/RS6) - but we hope to cover the B8 in-depth during 2018, so keep your eyes peeled :-)

Nice vid, Where can you purchase new door blades? OEM?
Hey there! You can buy them OEM direct from Audi, just be prepared for a wallet shock!
Or you can pick them up used on eBay for more sensible money of course.
Best of luck!

@@TotalTechnik Did you have any luck on door trims removal video? Need to remove one to repaint a bit of flaking. Thanks

How to remove threshold. Please tutorial
Think the most difficult part is to put them back on
Yes, they can be tricky to get back on, especially if they have warped a little bit, then it can be a battle!!!
