People just haven't caught on yet, but this tutorial is hands down one of the best out there. It's a blueprint, a reference and an inspiration. It's laid out so well and offers everyone from beginner to expert a foundation to produce amazing drum and bass music. Moonboy you have some great tutorials on your channel, but this one is simply incredible. I've referenced it about a dozen times. You are inspiring countless new producers. This should be at a million views by now.

Great tutorial as always! Btw, for anyone wondering, you need voicing set to "note latch" to control volume with noise in Serum FX :) You can see he has it on in the bottom right.
we all gotta appreciate how hard moonboy works. dropping production suite right after production suite with gigabites of highest quality samples, tutorials and producer contents...im really impressed bro, keep going, we love you
never in my life have I heard such a high quality track being produced for a tutorial, unpopular opinion but majority of the people who tend to teach the producer community are dogshit when it comes to writing good melodies and actually creating a high quality cohesive track, I respect their technical knowledge but Id never wanna learn from someone whose music I wouldn't listen to, but you changed it, and I will keep an eye out for all the stuff that you do, Respect.
I really appreciate you stating what the commands are (like CMD+G to make a group). I sure it could get repetitive and take more work to edit those in, but it really helps someone new to ableton like myself as I don’t know many of the work flow shortcuts.
Its not edm, the creator's and connoisseurs will tell you this, our scene started as hardcore and jungle which was an evolution of the jamaican aound system culture and the early hip hop culture, thats why we have mcs and reloads and no edm genres do that, theres tracks that are just funk breakbeats and 808 basses and thats the same formula as early rap music(which isnt edm either)

Yeh im loving learning all these editations, techniques, strategies, it all pays off the more time you put in. Dont think anyone is truly 100% satisfied even at the final outcome tho. I have been on the front lines of dnb since 97. I have made music the entire time since then. THINGS HAVE EVOLVED since FruityLoops 1.5 ,Sony acid ,Cubase , logic and reason( matched on purpose this was what top tier was dnb was made with back then and the dnb content for reason was second to none). FruityLoops eventually grew up to FL studio and a new player called ableton live rose from the ashes of the original acid dev team. Things are always evolving and don't let anyone tell you to stop. If it doesn't make the cut regroup and bang out another beat. I knew back then I wouod never have a chance to make it in dnb as 911 happened and they destroyed the rave scene shutting us down almost entirely. We've rebuilt since then and this generation knows nothing of the struggles we went through to keep this music alive. POTD was the shit stateside and Dave Minner and Damien Higgins are responsible for the scene stateside along with Darragh Guilfoyle being a huge influence on us as a whole. multiband compression squashes everything together? the clue is in the name... if anyone was actually wondering what multiband compression was, it separates the input to different frequency bands, then applies compression to those specific bands (e.g. L/M/H frequencies). So it does the exact opposite of squashing everything together (it separates the sound and applies different levels of compression that you set to the different freq bands). Also there are many many caveats with multi band compression, use sparingly!
