      are those the same excellent classes as offered at skillshare? started his illustrator essentials training today on coincidence before i saw this video. excellent. good pace, flawless voice , i guess it's r.p. english with no accent i had to switch on a subtitle. take these at home, or wherever you feel comfortable learning and you have less pressure in school following the software lectures.

    Tip: Whenever dealing with the pen tool/curvature tool and you forgot to turn the fill off, press "/" and it will remove the fill instantly. Has saved me a lot of time honestly.

      Great tip - will use that. Shift X also handy! Swaps your stroke and fill :)

    I normally don't comment on videos but Dan truly is an Adobe wizard. He covered multiple tools and I feel like I know them way better after just a few minutes here than the months I've spent fiddling with them for work. Love this guy's energy and how he is able to be entertaining/genuine without being unbearably cheesy.
    Definitely gonna check out his course! Thanks for the tutorial! :D

    Definitely want to see more of him. His lessons are informative, even for a seasoned designer, like myself and easy to follow. Would enjoy more illustrator and possibly After Effects classes.

    I took a little time to understand that the Curve Tool secret is: One curve takes 3 points (3 clicks)
    So.... If you want to draw an arch.... you need to think this 3 points:
    - the origin point;
    - the middle of the arch point; and
    - the end of the arch point.
    Once I understand this, Curve Tool becomes easy to me. Great tool.

    Nice! Dan is the man, honestly when there are new tools in Illustrator I tend to stick with what I know, but after learning from Dan I'm feeling equipped to upgrade my workflow. Also, the way Matthew whispers in the videos makes it feel like I'm learning some legit industry secrets. Good stuff as usual.

    i used to be afraid to use illustrator because of the fear of mastering a few tools, but these 5 tips are wide, and have helped me a lot, i can comfortably make a logo using the shape builder tool. I am so excited , i love your shirt too.

    I've been messing around with Photoshop since I was a kid and always strayed away from Illustrator because I didn't see what made it so different and it was a bit confusing to use. After watching this video, it's helped me not only tackle some of the projects that required Illustrator, but it also sparked a whole new level of interest and appreciation for what it can do!     OMG - the width tool is a game changer! I stopped working on a project because I spent forever doing the 2 parallel lines thing and just couldn't take it anymore. Now I should be able to fly through the remainder of the project (once I get the hang of the tool - LOL!)

    Earlier I was listening to Episode 069 of your podcast and I remember this guy because I ve watched this video about two times before mainly because I happened to find his teaching about the grading tool very helpful since I wasn't good at it and learnt it right after watching this.     I love Dan's videos, huge fan! I usually find I have to pause, rewind often with other tutorials on youtube, never have to do that with Dan's classes, its also really cool to be using the same content and follow along properly. in some of his other tutorials he gives you the option to do homework based on what you just learned, so you can try without instructions and get some experience in a safe zone, thanks all!
