    I live alone. Before I retired I made a list of regularly used items estimating what I used in a month then multipled it by 12 - I purchased accordingly but found it became a little unwieldy [ live in an apartment] so after that most items urchased were for 6 months. This included dish soap, cleaners, so on. I have limited myself now to keeping 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner on hand once extras are used. up. I purchased over a year and a half ago 5 bottles of laundry detergent 32 loads each 64 ounces for $.59/ container at a discount store. I only use 1/4 cup per load plus add Hydrogen Peroxide or Baking Soda to my wash so still have plenty of detergent. Also I had a package of Tide pods given to me - I have laundry detergent for another 2 years or more. I do the same with other items Vinegar for laundry or cleaning, toilet tissue for 2 years, paper towels for3- 6 months. It really saves me money.
    Instead of Adult Butt wipes which are expensive I buy Baby Wipes and toss as I never flush wipes.

      You can also use this for regular intestinal health. The directions are on the bottle

    You are so amazing, I am from a family of 12 children and unfortunately when I was a kid we had no bulk shopping so every week we would fill up two shopping carts and we had milk delivery every day.
    My Mom would have loved Cosco . Thanks for sharing another great video. Love and blessings to all 💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏

    We last had 5KG of onions about to go bad. We chopped them in meal-size portions, and froze them in individual little baggies. So useful. I like it better than a fresh onion. After all when meal time comes around, all you need to do is take something from the freezer, put it in your pot: done. No time wasted chopping stuff.

    I’m fairly sure that you, like me, do not use credit cards, but I do have an Amazon Prime Visa card I use on a regular basis. I always pay it off so there are no interest charges.
    The reason I use it is because you get 5% off on almost all of your Amazon purchases. I use Amazon for pretty much all of my shopping, and at this point I have accrued over $300. You definitely can use it to pay for your orders, but I generally try to wait until Christmas since that is my primary spending time.
    Just a thought.

    • @jasonandjulie
      @jasonandjulie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we do often make baked goods for snacks. I have a couple kids who like to bake so they will sometimes make things. That’s where a lot of that honey goes 😆 We also do yogurt popsicles, homemade granola bars (or sometimes the kids will just mix oats and honey together) and popcorn. My kids all like carrots too for snacks

    My next door neighbor keeps & breeds pigeons. We live in a townhouse so his permit is "debatable", but hey he got it, somehow. His cage is huge and spans the space between the walls. So it's as good as on our property. When they fly it is such a bother to us, but... all this to say... pigeon meat is "strong" meat, in the sense that it is very nourishing. Maybe think about keeping birds like this for food?

    • @jasonandjulie
      @jasonandjulie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting! I’ve never tried pigeon. What is the flavor like?

    • @amixeblu
      @amixeblu ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jasonandjulie I have never had it myself. My parents grew up on it, and organ meats such as liver (baby boomers). It's not like chicken, that's for sure. It has a very strong taste, apparently. But: very nutritious.

    • @AnnJo24224
      @AnnJo24224 ปีที่แล้ว

      My grandparents were making soup of pigeons as medicine for sick children ( broth). But I remember them saying using only young ones before the fly out, something like that.

      We’ve enjoyed it. Definitely has that “grass fed flavor” but my kids are used to it from our own cow so they really enjoy it. It seems that we’re not going through it quite as fast since it’s so rich in flavor so maybe itll work out money wise
