I'd have to agree with most of you guys. 1600hp RWD is simply not working with this car. Maybe some kinks to work out but looks more like an accident waiting to happen. That Nero R2 2000hp on the other hand looks solid.
some 2000HP gallardos launch better than this one, the mistake there is teh RWD, it NEVER was better than 4WD.
The power should be limited by gears (aka boost by gear)
It does sound hella mean tho, the 1600hp V10 pushing the rear wheels like that just sounds like something you dont want to mess with.

I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing lol, he managed to get the car up to 1700+ hp.
Looking at the pavement, it doesn't look prepped for drag racing as an actual strip. which makes a huge difference for launching a car like this, especially RWD.

It is AWD, just the Power is sent to the back for launch then the front wheels are regulated after.
These was a few problems with both of the Lambo's that Omega raced... UR for one makes amazing videos and they are great at editing. One reason you dont see a side by side shot of both races when they take off is that in both races the UGR Lambo's jumped 2-3 cars on the start. It is near impossible for a 1550whp car to catch another 1550whp car when one jumps first. The UR cars were brake boosting and couldnt keep the cars at 60, so they jumped both times. Omega set the 60-130mph record at TSS.
Driver mod from autozone might help out.. think the dealerships got em too

Even if they are after the 1 mile time?..I agree that they could reduce the spin, but if they need the extra push from 250kmh/155mph up to 400/250mph, wouldnt it make a difference up there? Im not sure, but I saw numbers of a 1100whp GT-R with 200-300kmh time of 10.1 and this one has 7.9 for that time. I think in road trim this car has about 1k hp, this test is at 35+ psi and running 117MO octane race fuel.
yea they may have converted it to save weight, but they did build a rwd Balboni edition from the factory

This run he did, there's another video you can see them working on it in a part of it and the car on a tow truck.
that car is still AWD, but you're absolutely right a real drag strip surface wouldh've had him hooking that thing up a lot better.
That leads to the next question: he ran a faster 22.2 seconds at 395kmh later in the day...which is crazy! How much better it would have been on a real drag strip! 395kmh = 245mph!!! In the mile. Sweet

He actually does have throttle control. Once the car started to pick up speed to match wheel speed he started peddling it to get it to hook up and stop blowing the tires off. It's not like he was blowing through the gears when it was spinning. There just simply isn't any way to get a car that makes that much power to go down an unprepped track when trying to run a decent time. Probably would've helped to not come out on the bang bang though.

Maybe I'm mistaken and Superleggera doesn't come with AWD.
In that case I'd say, the minimal wt saving you get from Superleggera is
worthless compared to getting front wheels powered. Gallardo 560-4 is one
of few cars I've seen that launches better than a GTR when each has similar
power. Just curious as to why this team wouldn't use AWD drive train.

This is insane fast. But Johny Bohmer just set a new Record for the Mile with a street legal Ford GT at 283mph(455km/h). Which is 60km/h faster than this. The americans are still at the best, when its about dragraces.
Wonder how fast this beats will go in a 10 km straight line ?
