You are the most cultivated 😁gardener I ‘ve found on TH-cam so far, in my opinion. I really admire your experience and willing to share your knowledge with us and I hope you keep making videos for many, many more years. Wishing you the best.
Hi from south Texas. good video. Winter is milder here than many other places in this nation. I grow all year long. I am employing container gardening as well as in ground gardens. Good info , thanks.
Your videos are packed full of so much great information!! We're in a different zone but gain so much benefit from them. Question...could you please share what you use for a frost blanket? Thanks so much for all you put into making these for us!! So appreciated!
Hi Ali. Your garden is so beautiful. My name's Ellie and I live in northern Greece. We have also had a scorching summer with temps reaching up to 42 celcius. I really love anything that's green and feeling the soil in my hands. Unfortinately I have a really tiny space to grow veg, however I plan to grow a bit of everything. Leeks, spinach, carrots, chard, radishes, lettuce and maybe a cabbage, cauliflower and brochli or two. Your video is very inspiring which is why I'm a new subscriber, Thankyou. Looking forward to many more of your videos God bless.
Hello from the USA! And the thank you! I am so looking forward to cooler weather this year! Sounds like even though you have limited space, you will be growing a nice variety of winter veg. 😃. How cold do your winters get?
@@Alisorganics We used to have quite a bit of snow. We had a mild winter, with only short period of bitter cold of - 5 celcius. They forecast a cold winter for us, we'll see. What was your winter like last year?
I thought we were in for a real cold winter last year and it was very mile. Our 2023 summer was definitely cooler than this year. We had such a nice June and August. It will be interesting to see what happens this year. We need more rain for sure!
Lots of great information! I’m going to try some of the varieties you mentioned to see how they do here, along with what we usually plant. We also live in zone 8 so this was so helpful. Thank you!
I’m really enjoying your videos. I also live in 8a even though they want us to believe we live in 9a. The difference is I live in high humidity and wet spring. Hour N of Houston TX. If you had a bit more space would you recommend wider aisles to your raised beds?? I have a fenced in area for gardening and have really bad deer pressure so EVERYTHING has to be protected 365 days a year. I’m just beginning the infrastructure of my garden so would love your input on an ideal garden bed design.
I’m so glad we don’t have that problem. All n the outskirts of town people have real problems. I would DEFINITELY have wider rows. I covered that in my garden layout. My beds are staggered as well. If I were to do it again, I wouldn’t stagger them. The wider rows would allow me to take a wheelbarrow down them Have to carry my compost in buckets. Mine are only 18”. 24 or 36 would be awesome!
I’ll definitely check my preferred wheel barrel width and plan accordingly!! I’ve got a 35 ft x 60ft area to build my beds. 35 ft faces E-W and long ways N-S. No obstructions. Barn is on N side so sheltered from cold winds. Would you recommend running beds E-W or N-S?
Thank you for your time and sharing with us all of your knowledge, I live way up north so we get much colder, but I do have a smaller greenhouse and I’ve been able to do some lettuces and spinach.

Great information! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Wish I lived a little further south and could grow year-round. But, we don't get the non-stop heat, either.😊
Zones are deceptive, I am also zone * but up in Washington state. I most definitely freeze during the winter and do NOT get 100 degree days in September - vary rarely will we EVER break 100.
I have to water with our culinary in the water in the winter. Our secondary water is off from November to March. Luckily winter gardens don’t require as much water. 😃
It would be good if the title of the video indicated which climate zone you live in, so that those of us who live in cold climate zones don't waste our time.
Please do a video of your superstore

Yes. I’ve used both Dewitt insulate and argribond.

Very informative video as always 👍 I've potted up my leek seedlings 🌱 I still have to sow some winter vegetables. Have a nice Sunday 🏖🌞

It is a trade off for sure. The long growing season is nice, but it isn't conducive for lots of outside activities most of the year.

They really are. Summer has been brutal for us this year.

Great information on fall and winter gardening. Being new to extended gardening this has been informative. Thank you
Your welcome 🤗
Is this info good for zone 8b?
Yes, it’s almost the same. We are a zone 8a, only a 5° difference. 😃
How do you water your garden in temperatures below freezing? Or do you not have to water during this season?
I have to water with our culinary in the water in the winter. Our secondary water is off from November to March. Luckily winter gardens don’t require as much water. 😃
