To begin with, each person is not equally married to two others. The relationship between a person and an instrument, that presumably being a person of the “same” sex, is really called “musicianship” and does not preclude normally male-female marriage of the musician or the instrument precisely because the culture assumes that people and instruments of opposite sexes will bother practically little with each other that directly outside of the children of their parents’ instruments and even that the males won’t want it enough to initiate. Musicianship also practically precedes homosexuality proper, that typically being two men or two males of the same instrument, or more precisely, quite literally renders it “masturbation with extra steps”.
