Love watching your videos. So calming. Thank you 😊 PS it always amazes me how these huge, seemingly top heavy cruise ships manage to stay upright…I know about stability wings and self-levelling ballast tanks etc but I am still in awe of the engineering involved in creating them.😊
As mentioned in the video the pilot is already aboard the Golden Australis. Also due to the high winds and safety routines the pilot flag may not be hoisted. Note the car carrier also does not fly one at this point either. The use of flags are not as well strictly followed in certain weather conditions. Just like radios took over the role of a lot of flag signalling between ships and shore. The ships/pilots radio VTS when pilots are embarked or disembarked at Port Phillip heads. You have a keep eye.
Cold wind and a bit rough DAFF. Great footage, thanks for the time you spend doing these videos.
It's all a bit of fun really, glad you enjoy them.
Love the Song and the ships of course
Thanks to the tourists for coming to Melbourne, hope they enjoyed their stay.
Thanks Daff, great videos (2) as usual. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the thumbs up, really appreciate you watching!

Thanks for watching! They really do look like they're about to tip over!
@@daff.wallace2267yes, and sometimes they do. Especially when rocks are involved. Concordia?
So Golden Australis, no pilot flag, and no pilot boarding. Exempt skipper..unusual for a Singapore reg vessel.
