I would have spent a little more time on removing the dents from the tank with welded studs and dent puller. But that's just me. It's your bike. Nice work otherwise.
I wouldn't be surprised if I end up stripping it again and doing it right. The limit tabs on the frame are tweaked, so I need to fix that first, otherwise the left side of the tank is just going to get smashed again.
@@JeffIsaac I didn't catch that in your video. Good point though. Definitely need to address those tabs first then the tank. Still it's a nice blast from the past for me. I remember when Ace Hardware Stores used to sell them back in the early 70's. They were a blast to ride out in the desert.
@@davidleland8729 I edited it out to try to keep the video a little shorter and I probably wouldn't have painted it yet if I wasn't waiting on parts. I had no idea they sold them at Ace, that's pretty funny! I really had no clue what I was buying, I just like weird/unusual bikes, so I jumped on this when I saw it. I'm learning more about it every day!
@@davidleland8729 all the best stuff is from the 70s! lol Almost every bike or ATV I've owned recently was from the 70s, which probably also has to do with my love of two strokes.
Great to see mate

@@JeffIsaac Back in the early 70's, Ace Hardware Stores also sold Steen, Rupp and Bridgestone bikes here in Tucson.
