Honestly, this is a fairly refreshing update. Not THE biggest, but the new enemy along with the pox gas buffing enemies and debuffings really presents an enticing challenge with massive hordes again. I, for one, only played after the update once. I ought to so I don't lag behind in combat experience😂

Yeh fat shark are total piss takers, games got less content than most early access games. I thought we would have multiple planets with multiple new maps and enemies like orcs and Tyranids, new classes and chars. No chance. These guys add the most minor of content and pat themselves on the back.
I took a brief hiatus after the first month Traitors Curse part 2 came out. Coming back, I'm just glad to have stuff to grind for with the new penance additions. Hate the Tox Bomber but he really isn't difficult to deal with, yet. I just hope theirs gonna be either another update of similar or bigger size that spices things up soon. Don't want to wait for 3 months again for something new hopefully but all in all, I'm back and enjoying the hell out of the game again.
Pretty lame update at the snail's pace the devs move at. They clearly only have a small team working on Darktide and have moved the rest of their workforce to another project. I have plenty of friends enjoying it at the moment but we'll definitely tire of the game soon.
Kinda but not really though. His bombs bounce a lot before exploding unlike the Globadier, which just explodes on impact. Tox bomber also only deals corruption damage instead of actual damage. And he buffs enemies in his gas. Globadier also has a self destruct attack which the Tox Bomber doesn't have.
For god sake why did they use the German psyker voice for the gas bois, one of them was on the map for a solid 5 minutes before e realised the voice was not coming from our teammate 😂
Hm sadly this doesn’t bring me back. I would like to have more ways to improve my charakther or more weapons to try or dunno… kinda hard to say what would bring me back. The classupdate really got me back for a while
Maybe if they removed the gacha build system?It's what puts off most players. They're finally saying they'll remove it, or at least reduce it. Exactly how we'll see. I'd like them to completely remove all perk & blessing locks. But they didn't specify it to doing that. More maps is a given, everyone wants that. I want new weapons and factions too but I still play the game.
Call me a neg, but I think the last thing the grindy video game needed was more of a grind in the form of a battlepass. Good on Fatshark trying to get people interested again - and clearly to some success - but I don't think this is what's gonna make me play more Darktide.
Define what you mean with single player. Playing with randoms then yes it's worth it. Playing a private game with just bots or true solo (with mods) then maybe, I don't know as I don't do that. Random players though is fine, most are cool and non-toxic, most are ok for whatever difficulty you pick and some are really good. Sometimes you even get a random team that feels like a well oiled machine together. Usually you find teammates like that on Damnation difficulty.

Half the game would still be basically the same cultists and traitor soldiers we got now so this kind of update would be possible without too much change to the game.

But yeah, other devoted chaos clans or a Genestealer Cult would make me go back to playing this game. I've maxed out all classes so there is no point in playing it if I don't get some actual NEW stuff. I want mace and shield for veteran, i want double-barrel shotguns, i want Galvanic/Rad weapons and maybe a Skitari class, just go as nuts as 40k allows you to.
@@coaiemandushman1079 I've suggested the Skitari myself, perhaps a three prong Mechanicus class where you choose Tech Priest, Skitari or Combat Servitor subclasses in the skill tree. Then some cool skins for it of course. FS seem to be more open to changes/ additions now, which I take as a positive. Maybe we'll see some of this if not all we want. The amount of work and what resources FS have to work with limits this. They're not a big company after all. FS may be giving us something else though, looking at the vs mode now in Vermintide and how we got the gas bomber and other things from there. Something worth noting is that Darktide really is part of Games Workshops larger plans, not just any old 40k spinoff. They're launching a tabletop version of it. I hope it's classic Necromunda-like in how it plays. At the very least I can probably get a set of cool minis to paint up.
Hey I was seeing your clutch video and seeing all the stamina helping you with movement made me wonder if having extra stamina with a veteran infiltration build would be worth it since infiltrate uses movement a lot
It does help but if you're running stealth then you can afford to use other curios like toughness or max HP since you're more than likely to disengage from melee ranges on Vet, unless you're running a Melee build with Infiltrate.

Because there are apparently people who love it and people who hate it EDIT: So the Tox Bomber is a more dangerous version of the Skaven Globbadier that instead of causing Friendly Fire damage as well as damaging the player, it buffs it's allies and hurts the players...... lovely

I'm not saying the update is bad. Its quite good. But the fact that I find it quite good scares me. Since it didn't add any new maps, weapons, crafting, skills. None of that at all. Feels like I'm so starved for content.

Zealots really excel against the gas because of all the toughness they can generate
So can veteran, the talent that reduces toughness damage above 75% toughness along with confirmed kill or using the shout will make it irrelevant.
We just use knife and zoom
So they added the gas rat from Vermintide 2 into Darktide.
