For anyone not following Auburn, all season they've had plays and errors cause them to lose games that should have been close. QB Payton Thorne and a lot of the play calling has been abysmal. In the past few weeks the team has started to gel. This game was the culmination of an entire season of frustration and inability to win games. And will all the recruiting momentum at risk, this was a big game for Auburn. Texas A&M walked into a trap. That's why Auburn fans rushed the field and the team had a must win mentality. We finally proved we can win a close ranked game and use our talent.
Ah yes, the much anticipated sequel to Texas a&m's 7 OT game. We saw the weird spin-off between Penn State and Illinois a few years ago, but this was the true sequel to The greatness that was.

As an Aggie that isn't into ball sports, this was a exciting game to watch. I want the Ags to win but Auburn fans sure had a blast and I'm happy for them.
If it makes u feel any better, Auburn should've have won way before overtime. They got screwed over a non-call OPI(in red zone) and then auburn got called for OPI which was very incorrect lol. So auburn should've have even had to do all that 40T.

I remember in the early 2000's, the first 'generation' of OTs had a Mississippi game running into 7 OTs. Both teams were SOOO dog-tired at the end, and when it was over, the players barely lifted arms to celebrate, OR express anything but relief - "It's over - that's more important!" It was great... the next generation of OT rules had 2-point plays become required.
I'm not sure if this is a consolation for Texas A&M or not but... at least the Aggies built themselves back up to a place where people storm the field after beating them.

Alabama used to end seasons in a single game. They forced Georgia to be at the top of their game. Without Saban, these SEC teams aren’t as fierce and on top of their game.

@@kratospwns241 as much as I’d like to think that, instances like Florida getting walloped by Miami at the beginning, LSU getting beat by USC, Vanderbilt getting beat by Georgia State, etc. makes the middle of the pack teams look not that great and therefore the upper half who get beat not that great. It’s even worse when teams like Ole Miss are playing 4 out of conference nobodies at the beginning of the season and Alabama is scheduling Mercer mid season. The SEC is good but it isn’t pre 2020 level SEC. I think the B1G and SEC are significantly more evenly matched overall with the B1G having a better upper half and the SEC having a slightly better lower half. Either way, with this conference realignment, the SEC teams should be playing B1G teams more often and it’s still not happening which is why I can’t really give in to saying the SEC is a good conference right now.
That's bothers me, teams don't use that same intensity at the beginning of the year but they'll use it in a rivalry game or by the end of the season. That's the true definition of "sorry".

This season has been absolutely painful to watch. I’d say there were at least 3 perfectly winnable games that just slipped through Auburn’s fingers and you could make a good argument for 2 others Pulling off this upset was the exact kind of morale boost this team needed. They’ve got a lot of young guys but the talent is obviously there, they just gotta keep the faith and put it all together If they bust their tails and keep improving, the next few years are gonna be a lot of fun. This was the best game of the 2024 season. I certainly enjoyed this game. I did feel bad for the A&M receiver that dropped the pass that would have tied the game.
The sec keeps beating up on one another and eliminating becomes easy from the playoffs. Problem is these teams are better than most of the top 10 ranked teams according to the committee. Politics and pay for play will ruin the college game , just give it a little more time.
It's difficult to believe Auburn wanted to let the aggies come back from that hole. Oh well, at least the ags were too tired to win. And this shows the ags don't care one bit - they've got Texas coming in, and that's the only game of the season. No other game means anything - they love losing to everyone AND then beating Texas. Auburn fans have been beyond frustrated this entire season. They have the talent to win any game they play, but they have taken half the season to learn to play together as a team. You CAN say it's weak sauce to rush the field after beating the number 15 team in the country, AND YOU CERTAINLY HAVE JUST-CAUSE TO DO SO, but, IT WAS A 4 OVERTIME GAME AND A GAME THAT AUBURN WAS SUPPOSED TO LOSE...... This was the 1ST game they were supposed to lose that they actually won this season (I think), and a few of their loses have been gut wrenching this year. I think it was much more of a "cleanse" type rushing of the field, than it was a celebration of just a simple upset game. DEFIITELY A HUGE confidence booster before facing Alabama, and I think it was probably the only result that would allow them to have a chance against Alabama. They lose this A&M game, and it's pretty much guaranteed that they lose next weekend. Instead, they now have the confidence to make it a good game at a minimum, and if they win, they not only own the rivalry but become bowl-eligible for the seniors, and any outgoing guys once the season ends (in the way of transfers, and possibly some NFL draftees).
Not sure which hurts worse losing big money on this single bet game after climbing back in it or Washington state blowing my parlay which was suppose to be a 🔒. Remember kids always chase your losses and never gamble responsibly

Auburn fans have been beyond frustrated this entire season. They have the talent to win any game they play, but they have taken half the season to learn to play together as a team. You CAN say it's weak sauce to rush the field after beating the number 15 team in the country, AND YOU CERTAINLY HAVE JUST-CAUSE TO DO SO, but, IT WAS A 4 OVERTIME GAME AND A GAME THAT AUBURN WAS SUPPOSED TO LOSE...... This was the 1ST game they were supposed to lose that they actually won this season (I think), and a few of their loses have been gut wrenching this year. I think it was much more of a "cleanse" type rushing of the field, than it was a celebration of just a simple upset game. DEFIITELY A HUGE confidence booster before facing Alabama, and I think it was probably the only result that would allow them to have a chance against Alabama. They lose this A&M game, and it's pretty much guaranteed that they lose next weekend. Instead, they now have the confidence to make it a good game at a minimum, and if they win, they not only own the rivalry but become bowl-eligible for the seniors, and any outgoing guys once the season ends (in the way of transfers, and possibly some NFL draftees).
I swear the War Eagle spreads magic dust over Jordan Hare stadium for these big games
Some of the penalties in this game. The guy called for pass interference because he ran down the field and turned around to look at the QB???

Auburn was in a ton of tight games this year. Lots of freshmen maturing in these final games.
Amazing game almost ruined by an OPI in OT2 that nearly cost auburn the game. Props to the defense coming back and stepping up.
Not sure which hurts worse losing big money on this single bet game after climbing back in it or Washington state blowing my parlay which was suppose to be a 🔒. Remember kids always chase your losses and never gamble responsibly
