Well received! I am in the anger phase now, angry at God for not taking away my pain and not knowing where to go. I want those visible miracles that are shown to us in scripture. I don't see them and can only conclude like Job's friends that my faith is not real. My wife is suffering badly from Alzheimer's and I am so angry at myself and God for letting this happen. I pray to take away her infliction and pass it to me. I pray to take her from me and this world to stop her suffering. I feel so much guilt because I can't take away her pain and suffering. I know the long term is glorious. I just don't know if I can make it through these next months and maybe years. I am heartbroken and so angry. I feel so much guilt and resentment over everything present and past. My faith is on edge but I am trying to hold on. Your words were helpful. God Bless you!

I had 3 childhood friends die. It was tough times. Every single one was tragic. The last one I couldn’t stay at the funeral after I looked at him in the casket. I went to many funerals during this period of life. There’s no words we possess in the English language for the tragedy of it.

This reminds me of another story of healing. A woman came back to christ but ended up getting cancer. After much prayer, Jesus came to her and said her cancer was caused by the unforgiveness in her life. Once she learned to forgive the people she thought she never forgive the cancer resided. Gives us much to think about in our own lives. Praise be to Jesus Christ.

I am currently wrestling with this topic moreso now than ever before in my life. My entire life, I have cared for my older sister who cannot walk or talk due to cerebral palsy and who also has the genetic issue called Marfan Syndrome. Now, I am losing her to the state system because I too have this Marfan Syndrome and now my body is failing severely. I have been incredibly angry with God saying "How can He possibly cause greater suffering for my sister when HER ENTIRE EXISTANCE ON THIS EARTH HAS BEEN SUFFERING.!?!?". I tried desperately to give her a little taste of life. To have a little fun and joy. To know why we breath. But now she may spend the rest of her existance laying in a room like a jail cell to rot alone and scared. WHY!?!?! I am dying, not of my physical issues, but spiritually because she does not deserve to suffer more. Not her. Me? Yes. But not her....

She pauses often while speaking, truly ruminating over the words she is forming. It is very authenticate and it is so impactful, more so than other people who preach with scripted eloquence, because is ostensibly coming from the heart. Thank you, Mthr. Amen sister! I had a similar experience recently. I had been suffering with intermittant episodes of mild depression my whole young adult life without noticing much. Once I had my first child, that depression hit out of nowhere with such a deep force of darkness, such temptation to despair and self hatred/hatred of God that I was pleading with God every day for death, despite my objectively happy life circumstances.
After suffering this way for a few months, I recieved annointing of the sick and suddenly the things I had heard about divine mercy clicked into place, and I realized that I had a deep seated distrust of God from past trauma. Overnight (literally) my depression was lifted in a way that the doctor did not think was possible.
Since then, God has wonderfully allowed me to experience brief days where I relapse, but the strength of the trust he instilled in me on that day has sustained me more and more cheerfully with each time. Its like every time I suffer, I become stronger and happier and get to excercise my love for him more! Praise the God who lit my heart on fire ❤️‍🔥💕

  • @alphacause

Mthr. Natalia brings up a very profound point about suffering and our tendency to see such painful experiences as evidence of a God who is either absent or lacking in compassion. Since our perspective, being finite and mortal, is limited, the suffering - however intolerable - may open us up to a greater reality. Yet our myopia is so great we are blinded to it. Its like a child who is angered because his dad let him fall when teaching him to ride a bike. However painful the scrapped knee was, the father letting go of the bike was neccessary so the child could learn balance and learn how to fall, thus avoid greater injury down the road. Thank you, Mthr. Natalia, for words that are not only consoling but wise.

I feel like this message came at the perfect time for me. I have a similar story, though perhaps on a smaller scale.
I was raised Protestant, and not with the same ideals as Catholicism when it comes to birth control. While converting to Catholicism, I felt convicted and not surprisingly we got pregnant very soon after. I was having the worst pregnancy I had ever had in the first trimester. I felt SO sick and I was begging the Lord to "at least" make the pregnancy bearable as I was very stressed about not having the same control as I did before. I begged for Him to have mercy as I was doing the best I could to serve His will although I falter a lot.The pain wouldn't go away and I began to feel resentment towards God. Not resentment in that I was going to turn away from Him, but I was irritated and miserable. Then, over the past few days, I found out it was actually a milk allergy causing the extremely painful symptoms. I now feel much, much better. The symptoms, like Mthr. Natalia said in this video, was important in finding the root cause. God's mercies work in mysterious ways sometimes.

That is Ezekiel. :) Let me explain. Christianity is a sequence of covenants. The fall is the "parent" covenant, Cain and Able is the "sibling" covenant, "Noah" is the "promiscuity covenant", Lot is the "uncleanness" covenant. And so on. The sequence is very dense. What the Evil One wants is a second chance. Except the War in Heaven came before Creation, and that was NOT a covenant. What we do is we populate this realm, which Satan wants for himself, and he's boundless in deception. Yet this realm was created for us and the Lord does not want this realm to go. That's about all we do here.

"The Holy Virgin insisted on the need for prayer. She said that the world is bad. It is necessary to pray, to pray, to pray a lot for this world that is bad, to pray for sinners, to pray for their conversion. She insisted a lot on the need for conversion: Convert to God! Convert to God! Convert to God! While saying that people don't respect God's commands, that people have a hard heart, she also asked us to meditate on the mysteries of the Rosary and to recite it every day. She also taught us the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows. She asked us to pray it every Tuesday and Friday. She asked us to obey the Church, to love God in truth, and to love our neighbor in humility and simplicity. She spoke of the need for mortification, a spirit of penitence and sacrifice. She also spoke of the need for suffering, to bear our sufferings every day. She said that *"no one enters heaven without suffering."* She also told us that acts of charity for the poor make us beautiful flowers that God likes. ~ excerpts from "Our Lady of Kibeho" words to: twenty-year-old Nathalie Mukamazimpaka in January 1982 in the very public setting of the school's courtyard; Kibeho, Rwanda, Africa and Vatican approved

Thank you thank you thank you! I pray Lord Have Mercy so many times a day. I love that you say that it's just saying to God go do what you do in this persons life. It makes me feel like my mini prayers have meaning when I say them for others.

Wow, every time I listen to one of your videos it's right on time. I'm so thankful for you! And as a bonus you quoted our old priest, what a dynamic man he was. Archbishop Rya marched with MLK, was beaten by KKK, as he was being beaten he kept telling the men that he loved them, 30 years later one of them called him and asked for forgiveness and of course he gave it... there are so many stories...

I just had this conversation with my Priest. I've struggled with misdiagnosis and even surgery on the wrong body parts. I'm currently bedridden after a recent bout on the table, and at this point I can barely stand it; either uniting my suffering so completely with His and offering it up or begging in tears to be able to stand and walk again, as I could just a few months ago. Well, that was a downer of a comment, so someone please just pray for me.

My wife has been sick for months and doctors haven't been able to figure it out. 2 weeks ago I got so angry at God because I'm playing the roll of mommy and daddy, a care Giver and trying to enter the church but I need my marriage blessed but she can't walk out of the house. I don't know if I'm going to become Catholic this year, I have a few weeks left. Anyway, I started pointing both middle fingers to the sky and told him to just smite me. I feel horrible.

@@MikeyAGoGo101 you probably are. I have been lately also. And it’s a good thing because that means you’re drawing closer to God. I don’t worry about it but because I know God is with me and that Satan can’t touch me. I fall asleep saying the Jesus Prayer holding onto an icon of St. Sharbel. I repeat “Jesus I trust in you” over and over. You can do this. I’ve been ill for 17 years and every day I thank God for my husband and other men like you who sacrificially love your families. May God pour out His mercies on you as walk with him in these difficult days. I’ll pray for you.

I just watched the interview where Mother Natalia talks about her love for Star Trek. I’d love to hear more “The Gospel according to Star Trek”. Maybe it could be a reoccurring segment on Pints.
    I’ll start with these TNG suggestions;
    “Measure of a man”
    “Half a Life”
