If you still dont understand somehow, Subtractem also has Betrayal covered(a bit old video), but its the one i learned this mechanic on first listening to it.
As someone pretty nooby with PoE, I find this kind of content super helpful, though I think the area that I really struggle in is knowing how to utilize the crafting options in a productive way. It feels a bit overwhelming, or to know where to start determining which kind of items would want veiled mods, or how to go about crafting efficiently to try and get the most value out of it, etc. Its a pretty dense part of the game to break into, I feel, and some more explanation on the thought process about how to go about determining what to do could be extremely helpful \o/
get awakened poe trade and just start searching what you think is valuable and see what is making it valuable
The objective of veiled item is to get a choice from which mods you might want in an item, if you craft the category it will block all mods from that category from appearing in the three options, you can look at craftofexile to see which mods an item can have and its categories, that way when the item is nearly done you can craft to block unwanted results and guarantee that the outcome you want will appear with a higher chance. If it’s still hard to unserstand, check ZiggyD How to craft Endgame boots and you’ll see the same strategy applied.

Does difficulty level of Katherina fight depends on maps you collected to fill everyone? Is it better to place syndicate members in white maps then go to boss ? Does rewards from them change

after watching this, i tried putting Gravicious in transportation and instanly got stack of Sephirot xD. Thank you Ziz!
some quick suggestions for viewers/new players
1. gravicious is good in transportation(kinda gambling but you can hit jackpot), intervention(winged div scarab), and research(swap card, i got a doctor, but i would say its not reliable as other two)
2. vorici, aisling, janus are good at research, hillock is good at all of transport(weapon qual), forti(armor qual), research(flask qual)
3. all the members except guff are good at intervention(it is a guaranteed winged scarab reward)
4. you can only have upto 5 members in a safehouse, so don't waste time trying to get another member in if it already have 5 members, you can still kick someone off then try to get the person in
5. if the member you want to be on a specific safehouse and they are already there but they are the leader and isn't ranked up to the max and also aren't showing up(leaders are not guaranteed to show up) you can just run the safehouse again by gathering intelligence, after you complete the safehouse and interrogate and imprison the leader for mastermind intelligence the leader then doesn't lose its rank and stays in that safehouse as a normal member and will surely show up next time(at least one normal member will surely show up each time you run)

syndicate board after catarina is a full reroll. leader is who you interrogate to get mastermind progress (to fight catarina).
when it comes to the reward offered in the mastermind hideout itself, there's no difference between a level 3 leader and a level 3 underling to that leader.

Thanks for the help! But it's a bit confusing when you say "kick them out" but you're actually interrogating them because isn't there an option sometimes to actually kick them out of the syndicate?
interrogating someone when they're level 1 in a division makes them "level 0", i.e. they're not assigned to one of the four divisions anymore. you do that to more easily move someone to a different division because they're more likely to show up if they're not in a division yet
Betrayal's confusing but I've been enjoying trying to piece things together as I go. That was until the second time I got to Catarina and got absolutely destroyed. Very not fun conclusion to a journey.
Incase someone reads this and can let me know. Some times I'll fill up cata super early long before I get aisling to t3. So I'll delay it for a while then when I finally get aisling to t3 and run cata she isn't even in there no t4 no nothing. I know there is 1 member more then rooms so I generally try and have 1 person with no ranks and still even without full reward rooms I'll not have aisling spawn at all.

In the vid you say you don’t really care what area level you’re doing the syndicate encounters at, is there a reward reason to do these at higher lvl maps? Or is it roughly the same farming syndicate at white maps vs red maps?
not really, its more for the safehouses, they have a increased EXP mod on them so a 83 is really good for exp.
Paradoxicas can only drop from Intervention safehouses area lvl 78+ (the safehouse level is the level of the highest encounter you did). That's the only one I can think of right now.
@@squiggg Diadem only drops from mid level encounters afaik
There is a level limit on the aisling craft, so you have to do at least one T9 in your betrayal so it's high enough to craft everything.

Why did all the members' level go up by one after Catarina's fight ? Doesn't it only apply to the 4 leaders ?
I think they changed it a while back so now all members can go to level 4 on Caterina

A great tip to getting Caterina quickly is to make sure you have 2 safe houses ready to go when you fight Caterina. Then run both safe houses and interrogate. Then use the sextant that gives 100% more syndicate XP and as long as you get 3 missions on your next map, your mastermind will level up completely after just 1 map! You can then pick up the sextant (waste not!) and work on your safehouses and your board. As soon as you have your board the way you like it with 2 safe houses ready to run, you can then rinse and repeat.
moving them around is easy but the cheat sheet for rewards is creasing me. got me moist
The most annoying thing about this is you use terms such as kick out, plus one, ect, and then click too fast to see wtf you're actually doing to achieve these objectives.

i suggest a little list on who to put where, and once you do catarina you got a nice surprise of stuff where you tend to get good stuff. also who's pure filler. after 100 maps you'll have it down
Awakened PoE trade has a image overlay that shows what each member gives, you can check it before starting to plan what you need and then follow the video

Just so people are on the same page here: this is a SSF way of farming.
Prio 1: For SC trade, you get Aisling to Research lvl 3
Prio 2.1: Hillock on Transport/Fortification/Research lvl 3
Prio 2.2: Get Vorici in Research lvl 3
Prio 3: get as many people in Intervention as you can and get them to lvl 3
If your if you can play Catarina you do so right away UNLESS aisling is in Research but not lvl 3 yet.
You then sell Hillock Vorici and Aisling on TFT and you get a bunch of winged scarabs which you can flip easily for good $$

Aisling's price gonna go down now :(( Also, as a person that played Betrayal for 9 leagues, the ultimate board for profit (in my opinion) would be: Gravicius (stack of cards) + Leo (catalysts) on Transport, Hillock (Gear quality) can either be on Transport/Fortification/Research, Aisling (unveil mod) + Vorici (1-6 white sockets) on Research, Haku + Elreon + Vagan + Janus on Intervention (Winged scarabs), Tora can be on Research (gem exp) or Intervention. The rest can be anywhere in your liking.

You might dislike blight (my fav) but this...THIS... I feel like most people dislike. They might like the reward, but everything up to that point is pure pain. Even those that get it, I feel like its sunk cost, at this point as to why they like it. I think the 0-hero gauge is important to any game mechanic. If I had no youtube, if I didn't have any guides whatsoever, and all I did was read in-game what they give you... this mechanics terrible and forever will be in my eyes.
Its okay for the inner workings to be a mystery, but how people obtain it shouldn't be.
For example, Timeless jewels, how they interact with the passive tree should be mysterious and open to experimentation. How you get a timeless jewel should not be.
Now imagine if obtaining a timeless jewel was just as convoluted as its results. That's Betrayal.
I'm an engineer that loves getting bogged down by systems of grand scale, but if it has a crappy introduction it might as well not exist.
one quick correction: it does matter if you wait a bit for them to spawn reinforcements: the npcs need to do their voiceline, after that it will be fine to kill them. been doing betrayal for idk 5 leauges now and had them spawn 20s after i started fighting the first npc (mostly in research, it takes a while)

You started saying you were going to explain how it works. 2 min and 30 second in you executed traded and what not with no explanation on how any of this works. How do we complete. how do we gain points. what points are placed where. what do I do to get what I want? nothing was explain. just : hey im going to rush and kill everything, figure it out on your own. *thumbs down* bad how to video.

as an ssf player I really dislike betrayel, it basically stops me from playing the game for longer than a week or so because i cant be bothered continuously farming it. And you basically have to in SSF because its so strong i really hope they remove or revamp it soon
