What a Wonderful and Prized Shop you have... Sad you wil be not using it as you intended to... But Life goes on and your Family needs you to carry on the Family Busines... Yiu are one Blessed Man... Looking forward to your other videos as you can make and publish. Greg
I bought a big Honda brand tiller and when we moved into a house I became attached to the soil just by tilling the land. My aunts and uncles were farmers in those days and all they talked about at the get-togethers were crops and weather. When we leave this earth, all that is left is our children and that time and love spent with them is part of the gold in life. You made the right choice to direct life to be with the family. These years when children are young can only be taken one time. Good luck.
It's almost the same here, as my mother and father both came from farming families. Growing up on a farm is great so I wanted my kids to have a chance at the same thing, though farming changes dramatically over the generations. When I was a kid it involved lots of hand work and help from friends. Those days are gone.
Life is about making the right choices, It seems you are a natural at woodworking and farming but that shot of your son riding in the tractor with you shows that you are putting Family & Farm before the self/gratification of woodworking. 👍👍👍
James Krenov inspired me to aspire to a higher quality in my work and you have done so as well. I wish you well in your farming and know that you will return to making sawdust when you have the opportunity.
Your designs have been very innovative and influential in the woodworking community. You will be missed my friend. Good luck in your future endeavors I’m sure you’ll excel at whatever you turn your hand to.
I wish you all the best in the future on your farm. Your shop is amazing and i think you inspired many of us with your work. Looking forward for your new content! Cheers
Timothy, I find myself re-watching many of your videos as I continually update my own woodshop. Hoping the family farming is going well, but also that you're finding time for your woodworking. Your content is missed, surely. All the best.
I grew up on a farm as well and became a carpenter. Even as a retired carpenter now, I still wish I had gone back to the family farm. I would happily watch videos from out and about on the farm! All the best!
I agree completely with Matthias. You chaps are two of my very favorite TH-camrs. I love your woodworking videos, but your farm work is fascinating to watch, too. Anything you post will provide joy to your fans.
Hello Timothy, unfortunately I discovered your channel only 2 days ago when I was looking for inspiration for my workshop equipment. You are a very gifted craftsman and it is a pity that you leave it now. On the other hand it would be a shame to give up your farm. Do as much as possible to make you happy. I will now watch the rest of the videos I do not know yet. Thank you for your work and greetings from Tirol / Austria
God bless all your endeavours Tim! You still make great no nonsense content and I'll watch anything you put up! Hope the farm 'grows' amd you keep up the great tradition! Just dont let that incredible workshop gather dust!
Sorry to see you go. You were one of my inspirations to "think different" about woodworking, and one of the reasons I started posting to TH-cam myself. I wish you the best, and thanks for everything, sincerely.
Thanks for the video update. Best of luck on the new endeavor. With your attention to detail and skill at planning, I'm sure your farming business will thrive.
You have my favorite wooodworking channel on TH-cam! I aspire to your level thoroughness and attention to detail. I 'll watch your farming videos but I sure will miss seeing your awesome shop.
Much thanks for all of your content. It is an honorable thing to leave your passion for woodworking full time and continue on in the tradition of family farming. I will enjoy the farming content along side the woodworking.
In 2011 I cycled across the US. One of the greatest parts was witnessing all the farmers, crops, and animals across the country. Extremely hardworking families with even bigger hearts. Thanks for all you do and wish you all the best.
Your shop and meticulous methodology were inspiring to me also. Waking up to work in a shop like yours for a full time job is my dream. Hope you don’t lose your love of woodworking. Good luck on the farming. Dream up some great new projects while sitting in that tractor.
Love the farming video. I grew up on the farm and I am in agri-business. Now I have so many questions about farming in Belgium in regards to regulations, markets, labor etc. Hope to see a few more videos about farming mixed in with your excellent woodworking videos. Thanks!
I have many questions too though, regulations, especially in organic farming are incredibly complex. Agri business is what destroyed conventional farming, now it's about avoiding those traps in organic or go a step beyond. My goal would be to develop local markets, as I feel that sooner or later the business will ruin organic as well.
Where ever the journey takes you, thanks for taking us all along for the ride. Your work and designs have been an inspiration, and very sincerely wish you the best as you balance life's needs.
Life as we know it would not exist if not for farmers. Farmers are the unspoken heroes of the world. I found your channel today researching materials shop-cart videos. Would love to see what goes on in the day to day of a farmer as well as woodworker projects. So please, feel free to farm up this channel as well! I'm a new subscriber and looking forward to your content. Much appreciation to you and your lively-hood.
I just came across your video on the MFT cart and thought, this guy really knows what he’s doing. Then this one came up on my feed and I thought that I’d discovered you too late. After watching the video I realise that you just turned a negative into a double positive - win, win! I just subscribed, and I’m buying your plans, even if I don’t build the thing. Warmest regards from Australia mate.
I've been checking in on the channel about every-everyother month wondering what you've been up to, thanks for the update and good luck! As a consumer of mostly ecologically grown produce I applaud you! Looking forward to all sorts of updates... Best regards Oscar from Sweden :D
Great stuff and glad to see you back. Funny how things go. I did less woodworking this year because I spent a lot more time in the garden. I went as far as buying a small Kubota tractor and have enjoyed it a lot. Totally understand your position. Look forward to future content.
Glad to hear you will continue with woodworking videos. Your videos thus far have inspired me a great deal and I thank you for sharing them. For what its worth, I'd watch farm videos as I find them quite interesting. All the best to you and your family in your future endeavors.
Love all your videos, thank you so much for sharing them. I too had to give up woodworking as I moved into management and am just now getting back into it again. Your shop, organization and methodical approach has been very inspiring to me as I return to the craft. Farming is just a different medium with different tools, the dedication, skill and care is all similar. God bless, and continue the good work, which ever way it goes
Thankyou for the update. Your an amazing woodworker. You have too do what you have to do, hope too see more content. Thanks so much for what you have done so far. All the best.
Winters are long, dark, and wet in Belgium. You can do woodworking in that time. Good to see that the Krauts did not destroy that cupola like they did the rest of Eben Emael.
I completely understand you becouse I am in the same way of work and also working on farm but much smaller... So keep up the good work in farm and your woodworking shop.
How great that you will be feeding so many people! I love both woodworking and food gardening. Way different than farming, I know, but still, there's something about seeing the food grow throughout the seasons that is enchanting.
I live in a small rural town (7,400 people) in the US which is primarily a farming / ranching community along with oil production. Would love to see videos on farming! Just one more thing you will be great at..
Thanks so much for your contributions to the woodworking community - I love your projects and have built a few, and even find great little clever ideas in the oldest videos. I look forward to whatever comes next - I just beg you never to take down your videos or stop selling your plans :)
I am happy to see you are busy on the farm, my family are farmers and I know how dangerous the work can be. I was worried you had been hurt and so no new Videos. You are, as many have said a very inspiring designer and inventor. I love using my MFTC and appreciate the time and effort you put into this. As a maker, I know it is very difficult not to make things. I go crazy if I can't get the stuff out of my head and into the world. Keep up the good work on the land we need more organic farmers.
Farming is a very noble and essential pursuit and I'm sure you'll attack it with the same fervor that you've put toward your woodworking! Best wishes for continued success and I look forward to your new videos when you have the time to put them together.
Thank you for your sharing! You have been such an inspiring youtuber to watch. Partly because of your great videos I just bought used 700 series Felder machines and started my own woodworking business. Your efforts have not gone vain.
Absolute respect for organic farmers! Thank you for sharing your wood working skills. You are an inspiration who made my start working with wood. :) Good luck!!!!

Thank you for sharing this turning point in your life with us! And it's still a great video! Greetings from Belgium (also near King Albert channel) :-)
Oh, noooo!! I understand the "lure" to keep the family tradition going and create via growing....but dang....you have such talent as a woodworker.. Been missing your videos. BEST OF LUCK!!!
Sad to hear. But wish you luck with your surly hard desicion. You and your shop was an inspiring for me, and i just started with my new shop (besides my normal work). Have some Felder, too :-D See ya. Aki
I always enjoy your content...woodworking or farming. Hopefully you will continue to film what you produce in your shop, even if it's just for your personal use. You are an inspiration and I wish you much success!
The sorting webs are friction powered so they stop even for a jammed potato, we didn't know about this initially so it was scary, but after the first jams we realised it was quite safe should fingers get caught.
hi, good farmers are important, good luck. Your wood projects were very well thought out and the videos were a pleasure. i help we see more in the private sector - Deal Michael
hope that you have some time in the winter to do wood... a q feestool have now a new storage on wheel with folding area.. looks like the one you did have they got it all from you!!!??
They paid an engineering company for the design, that company may have used my design as an inspiration, but it's also possible that a tool with those functions will inevitably have a similar shape.
La ferme semble aussi bien équipée que l'atelier et réciproquement ! Best of luck pour la suite et un tout grand merci d'avoir partagé votre savoir faire et votre créativité !
You did well my Friend. Farming is my second job to. Unfortunatly it has no dimention to live of it. Its almost for fun. :) i still have an hidroponic project in my mind to start. Maybe next year. Things here in Portugal dont work so easly as there i guess. I wish you the best of sucsess in you live. :)
Best of luck to you Tim. Woodworking is a hobby to most and you have been fortunate to prosper from it and have a nice collection of hobby tools. I still owe you a video of the benches I built from your plans and will post soon. I will look forward to see any content you put out.
Although, the woodworker in me is sad to see the drop off in content, the hungry man in me is glad to see wonderful healthy organic food being so lovingly grown.
Hey Man, i missed you. Congratulation, your work is fantastic, you are our inspiration. I Hope a one day, the same of you, work in my farm and i have my our carpentry shop. A Hugo from Santiago de Chile.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Veel plezier met je nieuwe "uitdaging" Ik keek altijd uit naar je staaltjes van vakmanschap in je houtbewerkingsatelier. Hopelijk blijf je dit doen. Succes met alles wat je doet. Marc- België - HOEVENEN
It's the very first time I let a comment on you tube , Timothy, I'm a woodworker and I was very impressed by what you did , you were an inspiration for me , I'm really sad , but I understand your choice , please keep your woodshop and continue woodworking as a hobby even if I know there is no place to any hobby in farmworking ...Respect !
A bientôt donc et : good luck !
Reminds me of many years ago working on my uncles farm and others in my early days but with much less technology. It’s good to see some of the newer technology in farming. ( Don’t know how much of that technology is available here in the states though). I hope you are still able to post some woodworking videos but will watch the farming videos as well. Good luck in your future endeavors.
As a lifelong woodworker I am overjoyed that you stayed with the more important profession. Thank you for deciding to keep making wood stuff for your pleasure and food for the rest of us! The video is great as well.
What a Wonderful and Prized Shop you have... Sad you wil be not using it as you intended to... But Life goes on and your Family needs you to carry on the Family Busines... Yiu are one Blessed Man... Looking forward to your other videos as you can make and publish. Greg

One of my favourite channels is "rainfall projects", and I find his videos about farming at least as interesting as those about building projects
Thanks Matthias, I'll check it out for sure.
Matthias Wandel rainfall projects also has very good production quality and his sense of humor is enjoyable to watch as well.
So do I
Life is about making the right choices, It seems you are a natural at woodworking and farming but that shot of your son riding in the tractor with you shows that you are putting Family & Farm before the self/gratification of woodworking. 👍👍👍
@Matthias: My thoughts exactly.
Can't wait to see Timothy's barn conversion! :-)

I also grew up on a farm, and wish I could impart that same experience on my kids. You made the right decision. You’ve got a great setup going on.
That's probably one of the reasons as well, I became father last year and would very much prefer to have my kids grow up on a farm like I did.
Thanks for the comment Pierre.
Really interesting to see the different aspects of the farm work, great video, good luck with it!
