iPhone Error 4014 【Special Case】 Repaired | AP_to_Nand_RESET_L short on 6S Plus

- iPhone 6S Plus Problem:
1. Stuck Apple logo.
2. iTunes show error 4014 when Restore / Update.
Mission: Data Recovery
History:
The owner sent it to multiple shops but they all told him it can't be repaired.
So it's tampered by someone before our hand.

This is NOT a common problem, finally I can show you it can be fixed if you have the right knowledge.
Hints: Reball the CPU or do a transplant won't help.
This is a good example case to show you that by knowing "how the circuit works" so then we can build a modified solution for it.
I always say this to my students ---
"Please stop blindly changing the IC"
and
"Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist"

Why you put 1k registor, what is the purpose of it. And if the AP line is shorted to ground, is it not the 1.8v line will be shorted to ground as well. Could you explain please. But nice work 👏
i am guessing that the line is a cpu controlled output meaning that the transistor inside the cpu in that line switch between 0 (no voltage = logical 0)and 1(high voltage 1.8v = 1) so if the line is shorted it will always be 0 and the nand will understand that it must reset, if you cover the pad and bring the 1.8v (logic high state 1) it will understand that it should not reset

You put a pull up resistor to bypass the short, but now the reset line isn't working properly. The reset can not be asserted by the CPU when needed it remains at 1.8V. Is it right?

Depends what happened on it. But every time you see something about CLK.. it's clock line. This kind of line is running like a heart beat. In 1 secs it can beats many times. When you check with oscillator then u will know.

2. 1k or 2.2k also can be used. As long you maintain a stable1.8v output
