    She definitely messed something up with the pan de mallorca, cause it should be very soft and sweet. I’m born, raised and still living at the island and it’s the best. You go to a panadería and buy it. Put the ham, cheese and microwave it so it gets a little warm and it taste amazing! 🤩

      Lots of Puerto Rican uses those spoon, not because they don’t have them in the house, is just a cultural thing. Specially learned from our abuelitas (grandmothers) because in their times they didn’t have those tools.
      I use them (the measuring ones) but most people like to use other 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @katieballesteros7171
      @katieballesteros7171 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pinkandbright1234 I understand that, my comment was kind of a joke. I do think it makes it difficult to follow a recipe you’ve never made with accurate measurements. However my grandparents were from Mexico and my grandma didn’t even use a spoon she just put spices in from the jar or put them all into the mochahete. Whenever I’m making her recipes I have to do it by smell, I know the ingredients and then I add the spices until it smells like how my grandma used to make it. Then I will know it’s done. It’s one of my favorite things to make her old recipes, it’s the closest I get to be with her and when I pass these on it’ll pass on a little bit of my grandma to my children. My grandma and I were so close I miss her everyday and wish that she could have met my husband and kids.
