Can we talk about that fact that GJ went so damn hard for so few people. Absolutely the best dudes
Agreed.. love these guys
I listen to this whole set at work everyday. Recently started listening to glassjaw, a friend told me about them. Wish I could've been under that stage.
REAL SHIT, THEY WERE GOIN IN
Well said. Thats why Im still here listening. Cheers from Ohio 2022
Real talk.
I am so tired of having my favourite bands ever not been as famous as they should. Glass jaw Is a giant,.the best band of the 00s.
Absolutely. One of the greatest of the era.
1gg3
Do you not love that they are our band though?! It’s so special when we get together for shows and everybody gives six thousand fucks. Propper community. Viva Cult bands!
They were pretty big in their time touring with deftones and Daryl going onto form Head Automatica that were like one of the pioneers for early 2000s indie rock pop.
@@MAGICCOFFEY and Pioneers of Post/hardcore in 1993
never seen a band go so hard for such a small crowd. Absolutely beautful.
Even the crowd is so small and few pople watching them, they give the best performance they want, kudos to glassjaw they underrated but they make good, lyrical and heavy music 🔥🤘
His note choice on the pink roses chorus was gorgeous.
Had the exact same thought. Brilliant.
Bassist and drummer absolutely slay. That snare is immense.
my man steady af with it. nice pfp btw.
I caught most of their set at FF '21 and yeah drummer goes hard as hell start to finish. Snare sounds exactly like the one on OCG.
Who is this drummer though? @@waveemann8857
Only band I trust with lineup changes. Everyone has been outstanding.
Only 2 originals are the guitarist and Darryl. But yeah they've been steady through out all other lineup changes
That's true lol
I aslo trusted Dillinger with all their changes before they hung it up.
@@Deathbybigmac420 3 of my favorite drummers lol
Some come back here and there. They're playing with us. Manny. I honestly want Sam back. The clean cut cat Todd was also bomb. Like someone else said here, Dillinger is the other band with such fucked up lineup rules. At least it wasn't because of a plane crash or a fucking nerve damage fuckin a
Tripping so whatever
This drummer doesn't stack up, imo.
Insane how his voice sounds just like the track. Great Live band. Great band period. Way underrated. NY hardcore baby
Wow so good, voice is bang on like the record
What the fuck are you talking about! I just commented how it's nothing like on the record and how much of a piss off that is. Do you not have ears? This is nothing like the album
Unbelievable how controlled the set seems for songs that I imagine would be chaotic on stage
Chaos is our job in the pit, haha.
Thing that always gets me is that here we are, 20 years later, and Daryl hasn't lost a single tone in his voice. He's just flawless live. Bring on the anniversary shows in May
ITS BEEN 20 YEARS!?!?
@@KelvinLee1990 29 years actually. They formed in 1993! Hard to believe isn't it.
I was literally thinking this exact same thing.
I disagree. He was not reliable 20 years ago. Always a talent dont get me wrong. Now he is the real deal and you can see some vocal training. Years ago he would hardly sing 1third of a set.
@@anthonymurphy6649 You disagree? Where's all the comments about the band Stillsuit? Since you have all the facts from nowhere. 😎
GlassJAw = pure class
Fucking hell... the guitar in Jesus Glue is perfection.
I've been listening to glassjaw for over 20 years. His songs still give me goosebumps like when I was a teenager.
Same here, everytime is like the first.
That moment in a show you think the singer is singing directly to you? At 20:50 it's me Daryl is pointing at while I'm singing along with Mu Empire. I know for sure, since there was nobody else around. This is on of the most memorable shows I ever attended. :)
i like how this drummer subtlely slows the songs to a groovier pace
Chad is honestly one of the best drummers out there
Chad was my drum teacher, bro is a absolute monster groover man guy can catch a pocket on anything. Honestly hes holding back so much with these guys
The Drummer
I will never ever ever get tired of watching Beck play John fucking Lennon. I hope you're all listening with headphones. Thank you gj
Song hits so fucking good. Think this is my 20th time back to listen to this set?
@@Hhhcfjkk Same!!

Damn the way they dropped right into "YOU THINK YOUR JOHN F***ING LENNON" was EPIC
Criminally underrated and awesomely talented.
This is the most underrated musically talented group. Line changes aside their music is always an opera , and daryl palumbo is a god, when I die, this will be the playlist I hear right before
I'm 34 now and I've loved them since high school. Glassjaw and Slipknot are my bucket list bands.
@@joshuahowland5061 I've been lucky enough to see both. Just recently caught two straight Glassjaw shows, they played EYEWTKAS the first night and then Worship and Tribute the second night. They are one of the tightest live bands I've ever seen, if you ever get the chance to see them don't pass it up!
A "god" huh.
@@chomidore3 I took saw G.J in 2000,2003,2006 absolutely 🔥 Live!!
don't die
Third time I look into this concert, great performance, best audio, they sound solid, Daryl's killing it, Beck's a machine, Dan Ellis's a bass god and fucken Chad Hasty super tight...
And still can't stand WHY THE FUCK is there so few people watching it.
Shame on Pukkelpop for putting such a legend of a band so DAMN early!
Best comment!
According to the video description, the audience is the concert staff? Not sure why...
From what I read on the inter webs, I heard they had a performance at another festival that same day in another country and they were just trying to make the most out of it. Don’t quote me lol.
@@ARASNshane only gj would achieve this, these guys are awesome 😎
@@ARASNshane Indeed, they played ArcTanGent festival in England later that same day.
Imagine this being the best live cut of Glassjaw and no one attending. Someone upload Archtangent from the same day, 6k people, so happy
Justin jast makes me so happy...just looking at how happy he is. ALWAYS
The bassist here is named Dan Ellis, and he is the single best rock artist I know of. Listen to Kidnapkin, listen to Modern Animal, listen to everything he's ever made. He's brilliant.
IM DROWNING IN TEARS OF A FUCKING DRUNK MANNNNN
frig this takes me back.
Saw them play a small show in LA in, like 2013, and Justin,Darryl and the bass player at the time all played facing the drummer, in a tight circle, backs to the the crowd, and for some reason it was the most intense show I’ve ever seen. It was more like watching band practice. No talking to the crowd, just melting faces.
Dude, this happened here in Mexico City too, we were the opening band to the only time Gj has come to Mexico, one of my greatest memories. And then, when they started to play, it was Beck, Daryl, Durijah and Manuel Carrero facing each other for like 5 songs, then Daryl started to interact a little bit more, shit got cray cray, the place was crowded af. In my other account (with the same name as this) I have a vid, you can search for: Glassjaw - Tip your bartender - Pasagüero, Mexico City, July 27, 2013.
Jesus glue was so good omfg. I’m impressed Daryl can still project those guttural vocals after all these years.
Gj for life ❤️🔥
He's not 20s angry Daryl anymore lol. He definitely sings accordingly these days, I love it💯👏
With chrones 😭 he's a god
I don't know how on earth he still sounds this good. It's insane and I am so thankful for it.
Glassjaw is a Top 5 Band across all genres ever to me, and Daryl Palumbo is easily one of most talented vocalists to touch the Earth. Such a huge inspiration.
That bass tone... good god it’s so awesome..
Best live show I've ever seen in my foking life. Cheers from Russia, Siberia ❤
The love I have for glassjaw is timeless..... most original band from my high school days and still blown away in 2022
Glassjaw is the band that sticks with you. Once a fan always a fan
They are so in the pocket!!!!! Amazing musicianship!
this set is fucking divine
Daryl's voice is mindblowing, aging like fine wine, didn't lost a single tone
oh yeah and here he's elongating verses and finding new depths to older songs. this is astonishing
Daang.
I was ironing my clothes for the evening and this video play was Zen feeling th3 whole time.
Reminds me of my 90s youth.
Daryl is absolutely killing it, god tier performance
Wow. This set was absolutely incredible, every member of this band stand out but damn Daryl sounds great; really can’t be understated.
im late to the party, 97 kid here, and this live set got me into glassjaw lmao
@@theArchive1O It's never too late!
@@theArchive1O hit the tour going through the west coast next year, you won't regret it (to put it mildly). There are few experiences in life like a glassjaw show.
yo can we appriciate chad for his drum fillings ? he's the man
He's ALMOST Durijah. Probably better on a technical level, but man Durijah just slams these songs so perfectly.
@@cruciald d really neat too, this band always good to find the replacement members
Chad is crazy good. Groovy as heck.
I like that Chad play for Glasscloud then Glassjaw. lol But yea he's the man. Super humble too.
Naw this fool is wak, I cannot stand his playing
most underrated band ever. from russia with love and respect
The guitar sounds so amazing. So grating and noisy. Love it.
One thing i don't understand. Who is changing effects on guitar? He doesn't have any pedalboard in front of him and effects shift all the time.
@@genefrankle1 , it might be automated. Most musicians now create their set tracks through their laptops where everything is already there. I think their in-ear monitors give them hints as to when they'll start et al.
One of the most unique bands. All members. Old and new, do absolutely outstanding work. This is the best they’ve sounded in a while. Daryl still brings it. That bass too. Love this band. Truly underrated.
Congrats to the crowd that made it to this, I am devastated it wasn’t better attended. What a religious experience to have been at this one like a personal performance of the longest lived songs in my soul. Rare quality vid, forever obsessed w GJ
God tier band god tier performance. This should have been played to hundreds of thousands
Only just got into Glassjaw properly this year, god this set is excellent. Sounds brilliant, credit to the guys for nailing this set to about 40 people, true pros! Fingers crossed for a Manchester UK date at some point
london in may
You've got such a journey to go on - they are just such an incredible band - but nowadays when they come to the UK you only really get London - so get on the 20th anniversary shows asap!
Get ur money glassjaw. You deserve it. Better than any band from ur time!
That transition from Tip Your Bartender into John Fucking Lennon is literally the heaviest thing ever.
I can't believe how little people there were. I would have been up front losing my mind.
All things considered this is one of the most unique bands of all time
That drummer is a beast 🔥
One of the best performances I have ever seen
Beck has such a unique guitar playing style. One of the bands that really took advantage when they had two guitar players. They remind me of Circa Survive (or the other way around) on how both guitar players are playing some really cool parts but almost seam completely separate from one another and yet it works perfectly. Even though Beck is alone on guitars now he fills the sound out nicely.
One thing i don't understand. Who is changing effects on guitar? He doesn't have any pedalboard in front of him and effects shift all the time.
@@genefrankle1 more than likely his guitar tech is turning on and off effects. This is normal for bigger bands, especially when they’re bouncing around between effects.
@@DanielRodriguez-eh1qd ya it would be either this or he has all the changes pre-programmed in his rig via MIDI to a click track that the drummer is synced to, which would explain why, despite how chaotic the music is, it is very tight rhythmically.
Very true - Beck plays interesting chord and I love his leads. I do miss Todd in the band though, for the reasons you mentioned. Some songs really benefit from the two guitars; Ape Dos Mil and Gillette Cavalcade come to mind.
@@RC-fi8nn I miss the dual guitars as well, but Beck plays with so much feeling. He absolutely slays at this show. I can only imagine that his performances are different from show to show. It seems like the the kind of style where he has something in mind, but whatever happens, happens in the end.
Listening to that 5:10 transition from Bartender into John Lennon on repeat
Honestly would think its the same song its so fucking clean. Grew up listening to Glassjaw and just found this live concert and holy SHIT its mint. Listened to it probably 5xs through.
yeah dude that transition will never NOT be awesome. My name is also Tom
@@tomfrombrick Toms worldwide going nuts for that transition.
That was magical
@@Hhhcfjkk same boat. I havnt listened to Gj since, fuck. 10 years? What a great way to rediscover them
This set is fucking superb.
These People got a fucking blessing from this band that day. Perfection. Best they've sounded since 2002.
Since Durijah & Manny. The best team.
Sadly, this performance only had like 20-25 people in the crowd. Watch when they show a shot from behind the band the field is empty. From what I read they were playing 2 shows that day, one here and the other at arctangent festival.
Lol definitely no comparison to 2002 days.
criminal more people didn't see this live, this is fucking amazing. what an insane performance from everyone
Probably the most underrated artists ever
I use to listening Glassjaw for almost all of my best moments in life. I can remember once in 2004 when I use to skateboarding with my friends and each one of us were listening a song in the MP3, in mine I can say that was always a Glassjaw song. Thank you guys for making my best days in life better.
Everything about this shit jams...😛💪🤘
...Badass drummer I'm saying 🤙
Just here again for the transition to Lennon.
No more backflips into the crowd? And then the crowd would push him back to the stage so he could finish the the song. Those were the days when they played in basements some where. Palumbo has the best voice in the scene, hands down. Stop playing with yourself, you know it’s true. Truly underrated, got out shadowed by commercial shit in the scene, but one of the best to do it. Thank you Glassjaw
It’s sad that there was so few people there for such an insane performance
Why is that? And what am I seeing in the crowd?!
That f*****n freaked me out
@@oferpardes6517 They playing this fest on mainland europe but where headlining arctangent in UK later the same day so they ended up opening to barely anyone here.
Best Live show for no one. Amazing
On of the best live performances I’ve ever seen in front of like 10 people! Criminal, wish I was there that day!
This whole performance is pure insanity. I love this line-up so much 🔥 Dan Ellis on bass makes me speechless. Been a fan of his work since KID:NAP:KIN.
That lead guitarist moves so well
There is only one guitarist buddy
@@Me-ne5uu
me: Google?
Google: what can I help you with
Me: Is the bass guitar a rhythm instrument?
Google: The instrument that is most often overlooked by non-musicians is the bass. Sometimes it's called the bass guitar. The bass is that sound that is a lower pitch than the guitar, and rhythmic like the drums. It's part of the rhythm section of a band, and produces the groove of the song.
@@sleepswithnopillow8413 obviously a Bass is a guitar. Typically we say LEAD when TWO 6 string (non-bass) guitars are playing with each other and one focuses on rhythm while the other plays lead. If there is one guitarist there is no need to make the distinction.
@@Me-ne5uu lol you remind me of the people that work at guitar stores
@@sleepswithnopillow8413 maybe you should try sleeping with a pillow to even out that brain.
Daryl has never sounded better imo. The thing about being original: this sounds timeless. The band is so fucking on point ugh. I wish I could’ve been there. Instead I’ll just keep coming back here lol

Tocan excelente.
Wake me up when Daryl misses a note...
The mixing is amazing. Thank you for this
It does sound especially good
Everything about this set has me stuck. Been on repeat for 5 days straight. I wish I could've been there. So fucking hard
you guys are so insanely talented, thank you for gracing us with your art.
Absolute gold still, much love.
Groupe énooooorme tellement légitime et motivant mais malgré cela pas reconnu comme il le méritait. 3 albums de folie et jamais égalé depuis .
How did I not know that this exists. For some reason (I can't forget this season) this feels like I was there, one of them 60 people watching. They are so sincere and the energy of this gig is seriously something else. Love it!
