I had depression when I was 27..28, and then again 30..31.. I knew I made a step forward when I heard this live session and I felt my heart pumping blood all around my body. I felt the desire of art again..
One of my favourite Tori songs (along with about a hundred others) :) Her new stuff is brilliant and polished, but the mad, spontaneous creativity of her earlier stuff has this genius that can't be intentionally replicated ....it's almost a little bittersweet comparing her newer albums to some of her very early stuff.
"I'm ok when everything is not ok"... I'm learning to be ok with never being ok again. My son, my only child, died a year ago... I live on... Thank you for this beautiful song, Tori
I have said this on the lyric video, but I saw her live in Eugene in 2017 and that was the first time I heard this song - and I have been an ardent fan since Little Earthquakes. I have been listening to several times a month since.
correct, she's so awesome in all her nuances, so difficult to say, what of this is done with awareness and what is completely spontanous, unplanned and maybe even non-conscious. MARVELOUS
@CrypticEllipsis I couldn't agree with you MORE !!!!!!!!! There was a fiery passion in the older lyrics & performances ~ but I guess with age this is to be expected ~ yet still ~~ my heart lies back in the 90*S with these amazing gut wrenching performances ~~ xoxo
Love her, such a fearless artist and performer..."you always find my faults faster than you find your own.."hhmm,yeah I know that one.Been with a few of them as well.."I'm OK when everything is not OK."
Somehow she touched my soul around that time until 1998 in very special spirituel kind of way,but I had to shake it off, cause I had to go back down to earth again.Somehow I lost connection to her new songs.I don't know why but it is very painful to me listen to her new stuff, cause I went thru different kind of bardos.By the way my second name has nothing to do with her,it is a nickname that friends gave me 2 because of my connection that I have to the old israel 3000 years ago and so on.But there is a bloodline which have something to do with past lifes here. However~Riders On The Storm...Namaste Tori🖖
Jeeez we have come a long way with digital stage pianos I'd forgotten how poor they sounded once upon a time. Bet she shit kittens and spewed butterflies when she got that big bad lad Bossendorfer.

Give me a break. The new stuff sucks butt. Why are people even pretending? So BORED of pretenders.
You nailed it
Hard to believe this is live. It's so smooth and lush.

I'm ok when everything is not ok. So true. Still come back for old Tori.
Brilliant
just insane... how this doesn't melt anyone to their soul amazes me.

Simply gourgeous...
Great performer. About 4 minutes into the video, when she covers her shoulder up. Every little nuance seems to be part of a story she is telling.
She fuels my soul

You my love ... and the pianno.

Tori always gave off this beautiful sense of danger, like she could stroke your check before slitting your throat.
Because she can.
cheek
The perfect flouver...
Man, I could almost FEEL the BOOs when she pulled her strap up at 341. What good does that do in the universe?

Apples and oranges but her and Barbra Streisand share transportation powers
