I used to think only Tori brings to life a song.... but there are a few other artists out there capable of such wonderful performances, like Bonnie Tyler who gave life to this work of art... and the way Tori takes entities like "Total eclipse of the heart" and nurtures them, and gives 'em a taste of her overwhelming, never-ending passion, what more could you ask for?... I respect and apreciate, feel and understand these full of genius sweet creatures with every fiber of my being!

No amount of despair or melodrama can make what you typed logical. Something can be emotional, and still make sense. They are not mutually exclusive. There is not some magical property of your grief or worship that changes an objective mistake into an objective triumph. It is therefore your rose-colored glasses, and not our inability to "get it" at play here. That's not to say you are "wrong," so much as to point out your grief is not griefier than anybody else's. It's a flawed argument, and it has no relevance to their claim.

What I find is that she always finds a way to make a song her own, instead of doing what many other performers do and rip it straight off. You don't have to like the way she does it, but you can't deny at least she puts her own mark on them.
she killed it alright silky smooth vocal on point with passion and feeling you could listen to he piano work in the background and have a totally unique experience just focusing on that and letting the vocal be the background or vice versa some people are so programmed to have a song sound the same as it always has they miss the pure mastery of a MASTER ARTIST.

If you listen her vocal is the harmony to the original if you sing the original notes. Love the magical piano nobody can do like her and her ethereal beauty goddess manifested.
I like a few of Tori's songs but must admit im not a great fan of all her stuff, but there is no question she is a very talented musician/songwriter and has a great ability to cover songs in her own style that make them sound her own.
This song originally came out when i was in middle school and i had such a love/hate relationship with it :) But absolute love with Tori's cover! This is just gorgeous, it is on "repeat" on my player often! Just yummy.
