Have you guys ever had issues with the air handler Bluetooth not connecting? When I go to cool cloud app it says to search for near by devices, I click on that it loads but it never finds the Airhandler.
While I think that is pretty slick, there is a lot to go wrong and it is going to be expensive to fix when it happens. I’ll personally stick with high efficiency non-communicating as long as it is possible to do so. At an absolute minimum I would surge suppress the entire breaker box and put individual class 2 surge suppressors on both the furnace and the condenser power with low voltage cutout. I must be old fashioned, I liked the day where we had interlocking safeties with no real central control board and heavy metal furnaces. I’ve seen some of the heat exchangers from the mid60s still working and still sporting a near perfect ceramic coating.
FYI. The heat exchangers are now stainless steel, so they should last the life of the furnace. But I agree, too much fancy stuff is asking for trouble.
The default settings are usually fine. In some situations you might need to make some adjustments if your having issues. But it’s a case by case situation.

Make sure you give permission to the app to use the Bluetooth connection. If that’s off it won’t connect.
@@NighthawkHVAC thank you, I just checked and yes it’s been on.

Turn off the outside condenser power and it logs a blown fuse. lol
Old timers are going to struggle with this new technology lol. Our service technicians have a flip phones they don't like new phones.
Thanks for video, was on hold with tec support while you tubing and you explained perfectly. Done few others and great to know
Wow that's cool
It makes things so much easier.
How do I adjust the blower speeds ?
What is the constant fan airflow multiplayer used for?
When calling for fan only you can adjust that blower speed.
Hi, thanks for the video! I am in Houston and have the same configuration as the video - what furnace and ac settings would you recommend?
